She no longer just sees and hears Tenchi like she did in her astral projection form. Now, she can smell and taste his scent and feel the warmth of his flesh. When she is clinging to him, she is trying to say 'Don't leave me! Stay with me!'

Actually she was going in for a kiss, and thats why shes mad at him later because she took his horror and fear as a rejection of her display of affection in the cave. Kagato cant control her unless she has the real gems and she doesnt get them till episode 2.

3:18 The way Tenchi's grandfather tells the legend of Ryoko's arrival to Earth and his battle with Ryoko reminds me of Ancient Aliens. In that documentary series, it was speculated that such legends were inspired by aliens visiting Earth long ago.
This was shown on Toonami and on Pioneer Entertainment VHS tapes back in the old 90s retro days

For anyone that was wondering, Ryoko assimilated Chibi, Tenchi’s dying cat with her Spaceship Ryo-Ohki. She also assimilated one of his pet rabbits.
These series has a lot of “assimilations”. 2 beings merging into one.

Thanks for watching and very good question: My answer to that is because most every other channel on YT already has Episodes 2-26 but only just those episodes. I'm the only one so far to my knowing to successfully upload episode 1 which I understand for some great number of years has been the only one missing.

@@quanngang653 I'd say yes there is ..many fans of the Tenchi Series have uploaded practically every episode of the whole show..spinoffs included of which I have episodes 1-26 of the Pretty Sammy Spinoff uploaded here while I believe someone else has all three movies. but depending on where you go and what channels that come up in your searches it shouldn't be too big a problem to find one that has one of the other series...although I would tell you personally as a recommendation I enjoy the Universe Series as much as I enjoy the Ryo-Ohki Series and probably my favorite after those are the Pretty Sammy Series and Tenchi Muyo GXP Series.

@DesmondShannon87 I have a question about that. I have the USA released DVD version of the show. I haven't found a copy of it anywhere for less than $200, so I guess I have a rather rare item. The one item related to this show that I'm seeking out the most, is the soundfile laserdisc. At least track 2 of it. The rest of them are available online. I'm very nostalgic about this show. My dad first told me about it when I was 5 or so. And later on, he let me watch it. He also gave me a cassette tape his friend in college made. The tape consisted of the soundtrack to the show, as well as the wildly sought-after soundfile laserdisc songs. I'd failed to identify those songs using any lyrics or a music recognition software. Which really sucked, because the day I was trying to make a digital copy, the tape got eaten by a shitty pinch roller in my tape deck. After that, I wasn't able to repair the tape, and I was left without names for the soundfile songs. Until today that is. I was rewatching the show, and remembered that I was looking for the songs and ruined the tape about 7 years back. So I went on youtube and searched "Tenchi Muyo songs with singing" And after about 3 hours of looking. I came across the soundfile songs. Every single one of them except track 2. Which is one that I remember having a rather frantic dialogue exchange in the middle of it. So I guess I was wondering, do you have it's whereabouts? It's just been a thing nagging at me for so long. When I found the songs earlier today, I actually started crying. A long lost part of my childhood in a quality way better than that cassette. From the ages of 4-9 when I listened to that tape every day, it got worn out badly. It was still listenable I guess, but I'm glad I found these other versions. So I suppose, if you could get in contact, or perhaps help me with any information regarding track 2. That'd be really really really really helpful. Thanks.
Aight. I went and watched through my VHS recording of a friends copy of the first 7 episodes and the soundfile. Track 2 and 8 are missing...
