Not one mention of Abu Ghraib? Hunh. This was an impressive debate and I have no doubt that despite his civilized composure, Tom Nichols knows that his reasoning, analysis, premise and certainly conclusions, were all skewered by Mehdi. The UN Res 1441 was a TRUE nail in the coffin! Bravo Mehdi! Clear, concise, irrefutable! The fact that at the end, Nichols was forced to pull out Donald Rumsfeld's old cobwebbed mainstay of *"We were really relying upon the Clinton administration intelligence"* evidences what a route this was. Iraq was actually DISarmed after the Gulf War in 1990 during Clinton's administration and even dogs knew that- which is why WMD were acknowledged nonsense at the time and certainly now. Mehdi gets an A+. Nichols gets an F-. The sad thing is that I really believe that George W Bush is full of regret and wants to confess- but doing so would leave so many people like Nichols out of a job. The obstacle to such a confession is decades of American imperialism via the MIC and petro dollar abuse. Bush should confess anyway- that would begin the healing process for the entire world and what is a better legacy than that?

The Hague, where the government of your Dutch alley resides, an alley since and during the US Independence War. Our Staten Generaal (parliament) existing since 1589, is not as arrogant, rude and and full of contempt for international law as the US Congress.
