They were very time crunched and a lot of the fight sequences looked like slideshows minus the big ones which were still very under produced, still cutting corners anyway they could like sacrificing detail for more individual frames of animation. Arguably one of the worst looking Shonen weekly shows, regardless, still one of my favorites simply for the story telling.
Something a lot of People forget: Anti-Magic was considered kinda Weak by itself. Both by the Royals of Clover and the Devils thinking that one could never grow from the place you were born and so they considered Anti Magic by itself kinda weak. But Astas entire character is baised around making it work with everything you have even if it seems like there's nothing there. It wasn't just that he learned how to control Anti Magic he learned the Skills that made Anti Magic as strong as it was- His Swordsmenship The ability to Sense Ki The fact he never stopped training his body even when the clover kingdom see that as a sign of you having to make up for your lack of Magic. He is the ultamite symbol of everything his World thought shouldn't happen he made himself op. He never gave up.
Yes I 100% agree. Anti magic is Hella disadvantaged. It's the newest magic in the verse. It's not even real magic its unknown if it'll ever have the same properties. It doesn't even work completely as a substitute for magic. He still can't detect magic and can't do the complex techniques magic can. Like spells. Can anti magic create things? We've seen if shoot out anti mana energy but can it form constructs? Some of the most powerful magic spells are constructs of Magic. All we've seen from anti magic is it spewing out anti mana. It's very basic compare to the complexities of Magic. Anti creation magic would be extremely powerful but with the nature of anti magic it's very basic. At most all I see anti magic creating is Asta's 5th sword. Which wouldn't be very complex either.

Yeah his anti-magic can break through just about all types of magic but he still has it contained in JUST his swords. He's still got to be physically strong to use his swords correctly. Plus he's not even aware of Liebe until I believe the Witch's Forest arc and he doesn't ask for help again from him until the fight with Dante.
After watching this show, i realized that other than the fact that he has no magic, he is the only one or one of the few people in the show strong enough to actually lift that sword, let alone swing two of them so easily😂😂

Other than the fact that's Tabata loves Berserk, Asta is the literal kid friendly version of Guts. Both having the exact same sword and it's name being almost similar. We also got a little peak at his Berserk form

I have a theory that Asta, Liebe,licita,possibly Asta's father all are born in their world to prevent people from abusing Mana and Magic. It is like the world showing that someone stronger will always come to curbstomp people who abuse power. I would call them Jokers of the world in accordance with how the kingdoms are named

Unlike Deku who only tried once the option was available to him, Asta always strove to make his dreams come true. It feels like Asta is the dude who worked his ass off for his job while Deku is the dude who got his job because he knew the right people.
The worlds they live in are seriously different too. Ignoring Asta’s Anti-Magic for a moment, he is physically capable of matching up to most Magic Knights. Even without Anti-Magic, he could have feasibly been a high level Magic Knight(assuming he could get past the entrance exam issue) and been fine. Deku never had that option to be a hero. Someone like Overhaul can match up with his enhanced speed and strength. Even low level criminals would be excessively powerful compared to him even with training. It would be like Batman going out there to fight crime but instead of being Bruce Wayne, who had years of training and plenty of resources, he is Kyle the gardener at Wayne manor. Might be stronger than your average thug but Bane is going to absolutely kill him.

i honestly cant think of any other character who has worked harder or at least up to astas level of “hard work” he was born into a world of magic, everything in the world has magic but he doesnt, he works out and got lucky with an anti magic grimoire. (in the manga) he is easily one of the strongest human beings because of his hard work and never giving up. he learnt many different lessons and techniques to help him fight in every battle. asta is easily the most hard working anime character and main character ever seen (prove me otherwise)

Upon get anti-magic swords which most people can't even lift let alone use, his efforts begin to show worth. And that's only in the begin of the story. As time goes on his effort and choice continues to show, breaking the restraints imposed and placed on him and changing the world around him. His sheer perseverance and determination, his drive and belief to never give up truely is unmatched to the point that it pushes others to do the same. To be better versions of themselves and to never give up. His magic truely is Never giving up.

I love Black Clover and I love MHA. Both are amazing shows imo. Both protagonists work hard to achieve their goals and they never give up when times get rough. Deku was literally given a life he didn't ask for. When he was given his quirk, he had no idea that it came along with its own villain. But he sucked it up and did what he could to save everyone. Asta worked hard to reach his goals, too. He never gave up, even though he's discriminated against for his lack of magic and then for his demon powers. He believes in himself and still protects those who dwells in the Clover kingdom. Both have ambitious goals that they haven't quite reached yet in the anime, but they both never gave up, worked hard, and became inspirations for those around them. Why I love Asta is because he is the literal opposite of the chosen one (Yuno). He is a complete nobody and there is a canon reason why he is so, noone could ever predict what he will do as magic itself refuses to acknowledge he exists. Asta is changing fate of the world with sheer determination

He lost the ability to use the one thing that made him a threat. Black Clover, besides being one of my top 5, is also an anime I can easily fall back on when life gets tough. Asta's such a ball of light (or, I guess darkness, technically) that he makes you start to even believe in yourself more than you did before

quick little bit of information not many people realize, antimagic can only nullify magic that its weaker than the user of the antimagic, if the magic is on a similar level it will just be weakened, and if its on a far higher level it wont be nullified or weakened, the only reason antimagic is so strong in black clover is because asta trained so much.

i also like the fact that people forget asta had to train physically,mentally and spiritually. Even then he didnt just show up like escanor in the one and say your done he got clapped by alot of people. I liked the recent chapters where he just creates a field and disables magic.

Why I love Asta is because he is the literal opposite of the chosen one (Yuno). He is a complete nobody and there is a canon reason why he is so, noone could ever predict what he will do as magic itself refuses to acknowledge he exists. Asta is changing fate of the world with sheer determination
lucius (he can see the future)in the manga said that all of this wasnt supposed to happen and he wasnt able to see it. he said it was because of asta, he altered the timeline by insipiring others
In case anyone doubts how much he’s just isn’t willing to give up, he ones had his arms broken and cursed to never heal. No amount of magic or time could heal it. He lost the ability to use the one thing that made him a threat. He was sad for about a day and then decided “bitch that ain’t gonna stop me” and seriously planned to fight with a sword in his mouth zoro style

Black Clover, besides being one of my top 5, is also an anime I can easily fall back on when life gets tough. Asta's such a ball of light (or, I guess darkness, technically) that he makes you start to even believe in yourself more than you did before
Goddamn that's a lot to take in, but i don't think you could say he's "op" sure, he got lucky, but he worked hard for everything. He wasn't born with something broken or didn't just get lucky, well, i mean, he did, but if he got carried away and done nothing after getting the Grimoire he would've easily been clapped by some fodder characters, and the best part about it is that he has Yuno to balance it with him, so that he doesn't look insanely broken. I love Black Clover

quick little bit of information not many people realize, antimagic can only nullify magic that its weaker than the user of the antimagic, if the magic is on a similar level it will just be weakened, and if its on a far higher level it wont be nullified or weakened, the only reason antimagic is so strong in black clover is because asta trained so much.

@@Provixity there have been cases where the antimagic has just been overwhelmed with simply more power. i prefer to think of it similarly to how fire is weak to water, antimagic is just the water to magics fire, and the thing that makes it so strong is the fact that asta is so strong.

I started watching Black Clover 2 days ago on Mount season 4 I couldn't stop
I feel like astas true power like he says is never giving up. But I mean it literally. Maybe he doesn't possess mana but we already the world itself and nature possess natural mana so maybe his sheer dedication invoked forces to give him power. He canted it into reality with his pure resolve. He isn't special yet he is a unique being because of the fact that he isn't special in a world were being special seems to be the only thing anyone idealizes
