ਦੋਤਾਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਦੋ ਤਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੂੰਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਲਗੋਜਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਏਥੇ ਤੂੰਬੇ ਅਲਗੋਜਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਗੀ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਹੀਰ ਰਾਂਝਾ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਰਾਗੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਰਾਂ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੀਰ ਤੇ ਰਾਝੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਤ ਆਖਿਆ। ਬਾਕੀ ਗਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਆਪਾਂ ਵੀ ਰਾਗ ਸੁਨਣ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਰਾਝਣ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਘਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਤਾਰਾ ਵੱਜਦਾ ਵੇ ਰਾਝਣਾ ਨੂਰ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਮੋਰੀ,ਚੱਲ ਆਪਾਂ ਵੀ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਵੇ, ਤੂੰ ਚੰਦ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਚਕੋਰੀ।

ਬਾਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੁੱਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਘੋੜੀ ਤੇ ਚੜਕੇ ਲੁੱਟਣਾ ਘੋੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਮੋਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ।ਬਾਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਹੋ।
