Ironically DJI has tried to assuage anti-DJI legislators by disabling server auto-syncing of the flight track, now meaning the information may not be as readily available to LEO. If it hasn't been synced, DJI won't have it. I don't know whether it resides in the drone or in the controller/phone.

It is not possible for the plastic propellers on a DJI mini. The plane is made with 1/8 inch sheet metal. These drones cant cut their way thrua 1/16 inch twig. These drones dont cut their way out of being stuck in a tree and they are designed to not be able to fight its way out of a paper bag. The motors shut off at contact with anything, even paper, to save its motors. How is it now a diamond bladed cutting machine. THIS IS FAKE!!!!
It didn't "cut" it's way through the skin of the wing with its props it just punched through it with the compact mass of the drone body and the speed of the aircraft, the leading edge skin of an aircraft wing is just thin aluminum, I work in aviation I've seen big dents and cracks in the leading edge skin of aircraft just from a collision with a small bird.
I am a licensed drone operator of 20+ years and it was really stupid to be flying at that time and to think this is social media that does this is stupid you're not getting paid to fly that my drones cost 2k and up, I'm not risking it being hit just to show some pictures on social media it's not that serious, and it's really frightens me to see the FBI looking for drone operators, this is not good for the operator to fly legally now they're going to have excuses to ban drones altogether,, and now that DJI has geo restrictions now everybody can fly anywhere they want too, it's really going to be scary😮
It's the FBI, I'm sure they would have the common sense to go to the FAA. I know it's a less than 250 Gr. drone but it just may be registered. I had one and had gotten it registered because I had the plus battery. Then again, that battery looked like the small battery that comes with the drone. You can't fly over active police or fire operations. Any fire within a municipal environment is active and to remain open for first responders. You definitely cannot interfere with operations. Which is what it has become because he was negligent and reckless flying too close to a fire plane.

Imagine a plane moving at 90+ mph? That drone would be pulverized without so much as a skid mark on that plane. They're trying to sell us some bull shite!🙏

First off it's not an unauthorized drone it's absolutely authorized for exactly photography it's why that company makes drones that America can't even come close to it's a photography drone it's the reason why drones first became recreational or maybe they were taking pictures of the evidence for their insurance companies if they were lucky enough to still have it or since people are being kept away from their own property maybe they just wanted to see if they're homeless still there or not drones cannot fly higher than 150 ft in the air unless they are registered and they give off a signal where they're at they let you know where other planes are in your area and they give off a find my drone signal when they crash so it's perfectly normal if that drone hit a plane and then fell out of the sky and landed in Ben Affleck's yard it would be giving off a signal that that's where it was or they just traced somebody that started flying a drone from Ben Affleck's house also the plane was on loan from Canada wasn't even one of our own
The normal height restriction is 120metres or 400ft not 150ft. The FAA can issue bans on ALL flying objects from any airspace during emergencies (such as wildfire incidents) to allow the safe operation of essential flights. Unfortunately they can't effectively ban stupidity but they can make it posthumously very expensive!
This is the USA, not sure where you get those rules from but that's NOT how it is here. Drones can fly up to 400ft AGL. "authorized for photography", no such thing here. Its either Recreational or Commercial. Sub 250g drones for recreation do NOT have to be registered. Also, its highly unlikely that drone would be giving off any signal after a hit like that! Did you see the pieces?
