- This is a compilation of audio clips recorded off-air from Boston television stations during the summer and fall of 1978. The audio was recorded from a Sony model TV-720U, a seven-inch black and white television set, on an open-reel tape running at 3.75 inches-per-second and using the quarter-track format.

Thanks ... The original off-air recordings were made on a Sony TC-353 quarter-track deck at a tape speed of 3-3/4 inches per second.
Wow! This is great!. I'm a philly boy, but boy this brings back memories of the tv promos back in the day. I was trying to find info about Barry Manilow's appearance on the Mike Douglas show and came across this. I was 11 going on 12 at the time and remember this era well.
Danny Dark is the announcer for the "Eyewitness News" promo at 11:22.
beats the heck out of me holding up a cheap cassette mic up to the tinny TV speaker to tape this stuff (which I did at the time in SC)
I listen to the opening music cue, and I'm reminded of the McKenzie's bakery commercial spots! :^)
I had that Sony TV when I was a kid.

This was after I graduated High School.

Man, the Blue Jays in only their second season as a franchise.
too late obviously...but if memory serves it was a little bit of all of the above: call-ins, bell and lobel debating etc
