No reason to worry, Georgia is stacked and ready to make another run at the crown, maybe this time if they match up against Ohio State again, Ohio State can close the deal instead of blowing a big lead... Ohio State really needed someone at this position and they went at him hard and fast, so it's no surprise he decided to go there,
Maybe the Dawgs and Buckeyes will meet again next year in Atlanta, this time for the Natty. We all know you should have been there last year instead of TCU. I have to say as a 6th gen UGA alum I generally disliked OSU and thought their fans were haughty but last year my opinion changed. My husband and I sat next to a couple, both multi gen OSU grads, at the Peach Bowl and had a blast. When the final FG was missed they were truly bummed. We held our excitement and I told them we knew exactly how they felt having lost so many times to Bama in the final seconds but you’ll get your chance again and we won’t always be so lucky(was I right or what?) What would you expect to hear from the UGA camp? Wasn’t OSU always Caleb’s 2nd choice? Perhaps he felt his future was in better hands at OSU. The bench is so deep at GA and we all watched this year as phenomenal players from the Dawgs entered the portal seeking more playing time. We also witnessed a major tipping in CFB. There is no room for error and even going undefeated doesn’t guarantee a team a CFP berth. That means coaches at elite programs probably aren’t making a lot of hard promises. FM, these kids want to position themselves for the best possible future with one team. I’m sure they don’t like having to jockey for position via the transfer portal. As an Ohio State fan, I really respect the way you handled this video. Only question I have is have you personally been to Columbus, OH? This notion that Athens is better is questionable at best. May depend on what you're looking for of course. That said, Columbus has everything a kid could ever dream of. So not sure what you're getting at. Do you think it's some boring place like Nebraska?
Meant that in a joking way but I can see how it can come off differently. I’ve lived in the South and just can’t do the cold haha. I’m sure Columbus is a cool city.
Let’s be real bro sold out for money and I’m starting to really believe that narrative about his dad not liking Kirby for not recruiting his mid brother
Yeah! I called BS, him keeping UGA in his top 3 was just a courtesy..... "honorable mention". The kid never wanted to play for UGA and that's fine! good luck to him. But there is more to this story. If UGA was truly his 3rd choice, getting T-Rob should've put UGA #1. I believe UGA being in his top 3 was a bunch of smoke.
UGA fans were sooo convinced Downs was coming to Athens. I saw people commenting 99% chance. Ohio State is very strong with NIL and the portal overall. They have a really good team and recent defensive improvements.
What he concluded was "Ohio State is paying me what"? Stop the bs. This kid has no more a relationship with Kirby Smart than you or I do. His dad has a hard on for UGA. He knew he wasn't coming to Athens when he was 12 and he knew he wasn't coming to Athens when he was 18 or 20 or any other age.
Good luck to him, but have no clue why he rather play for Ohio State vs UGA , especially considering UGA’s defensive reputation and why he wouldn’t want continue play in the SEC! That said wish him well, Go Dawgs we good on defense anyway!
I doubted he was committing to the Dawgs because he didn't commit out of High school to Georgia. There was just something he didn't like about the dawgs even after the coach that was at Bama who recruited Downs there now coaches at UGA. Remember not every player is meant to be a Dawg. Ga. will be fine, they've got extremely great talent to develope remember we've got TJ Bolton and Malaki Starks, solid as a rock!! Goooo Dawgs
Athens is better than Columbus? Depends on if you prefer to live in a smaller city vs a larger city. Athens GA has a population of approximately 125K vs Columbus 2.35 million. If you are a minority, Columbus has a lot more diversity. It's just a matter of preference.
If you like to freeze your butt off all winter , Columbus is the place for you. Yeah we're cold this week, but next week we're back into the 60+ degree range. Y'all keep the cold and snow !

Good luck to the kid. OSUs program won't miss a beat to Bama's. This is all about the snub older bro Josh got from UGA, plus the boys weren't Dawg fans growing up. Simple as that. I still think he along with his Dad's position made the decision emotionally rather than rationally. It's going to turn out alright either way for everybody. UGA has a deep secondary room that would've been star studded and potentially historic with him..but instead it's "only" great. Lol

@@dawgpost I was gonna say, the weather down there would be a fair point. I'll accept that for certain haha. All good
Let’s be real bro sold out for money and I’m starting to really believe that narrative about his dad not liking Kirby for not recruiting his mid brother
That and Caleb’s u cle he let go in his first year 2016
He is going for money. He will go back to the portal next year and then come to Georgia. Make all the money he can.
That kid will never play for UGA
It seems the Downs family played UGA.
Hey UGA, can’t have them all!! Take off your fn blinders!!
You must be an Alabama fan if so you don't have him anymore either
Maybe he just didnt want to dis his teammates by going to a place where he would be in direct competition and have to play against them.
At least he’s not at Bama.
Money 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
UGA fans were sooo convinced Downs was coming to Athens. I saw people commenting 99% chance. Ohio State is very strong with NIL and the portal overall. They have a really good team and recent defensive improvements.
Its NIL era, Ohio state is not better than Georgia but the dude taking the bags first, its ok Georgia is fine without him.
I dont want to see my coach KIRBY SMART - kissing this guy anymore! Break Up Kirby, & let me go.
"They always have a great defense." 😅😅😅😅
Nothing went wrong. He chose OSwho most likely because they actually do need a great DB…. We just wanted him to pile in an already great room as more.
Ohio state is just a better program.
😂😂😂
Going to play for the whiniest coach in football-Good fit for Downs.
I heard there’s still a bad taste in their families mouth about the recruitment of his brother.
Not for one sec did I think downs would come to Georgia. Not surprised here !! Go dawgs
Nothing went wrong. He know Georgia load with talent. He went where he would be the star!!!
Good luck to him, but have no clue why he rather play for Ohio State vs UGA , especially considering UGA’s defensive reputation and why he wouldn’t want continue play in the SEC! That said wish him well, Go Dawgs we good on defense anyway!
I think he played people leading folks to think he was going to Georgia. Apparently, he doesn’t like the Dawgs
OHSTs defense doesn't fit him at all...
We don't even need him . He wants the light to shine on him . We have plenty of kids who want to be at UGA . We'll see ya in the playoffs .
Thats what Im sayin. I've seen UGA fans getting mad over him choosing Ohio St and they've already forgotten that UGA's secondary is already loaded.
OHU HAS TO BEAT MICHIGAN BEFORE THEY GET IN PLAYOFFS. THEY HAVE LOST 3 IN A ROW IF THEY DONT BEAT THEM THIS YEAR DAY WILL BE FIRED .
With the roster Ohio State has and what Michigan has left I wouldn't expect Michigan to win this year but anythings possible.
@@joshhughart289 OSU returns almost every player but Marvin Harrison Jr and that WR room is double stacked.
LETS GOOOOO!!!!! GO BUCKS!!!!!!! LMAO
So the question is why the heck didn't Georgia do a last minute in home visit to lock the deal down
We offered a bag and they offered a Brinks.
Neither were smart but Ohio emotions got best of em. He possibly only plays a year there..1.3 for a year..haha
💲💲💲💲💲💲💲
Money, money, money, money
georgia pays kids too
@@chrishance7604 all colleges do to some extent. Usually the better programs have so much more to offer than just cash
Yes, we have plenty of kids. A d they are good. But, they are not Caleb Downs !!! (GO DAWGS)...
We have a great team on both sides of the ball. I’m sure Kirby isn’t losing sleep over this
It's about the money
Bro you just made a bad prediction. You dont have to explain yourself. I know you take what you do seriously, but it happens to the best
Who gives a fuck he just one player we got an All American safety Starks
Players are growing tired of the Nick Saban 25 yr old System of we get PAID Big Bucks, while they work peanuts is over. 😎✌️
Ohio state will still be trash next year. They haven’t solved their qb problem in my opinion
Trash?
When have the buckeyes been trash
Maybe not as good as the Dawgs but I would never say trash
What went wrong. Look at the hug. It was never right.
He was just in Athens!!! We need answers bro this makes zero Damn sense.. They were starting enrollment paperwork as well
Because he wanted the best coaching, his dad even said the reason for leaving Bama was to make sure that he got the best coaching for his future.
His coach came to UGA so why would he not want to come here
He made a bad choice then. UGA develops 3 ⭐ players into first round draft picks!
Goooo Dawgs
I guess this cold weather was calling him to Ohio. Good luck
@@thomasblankinship98 and at the end of the week, we are going to be in the upper 50's.
2 million dollars is what happened. Money talks $$$$$$$z
I am a life long Georgia fan but you saying he picked Bama over Ohio State not Georgia is false, he picked Bama over EVERY team that recruited him and Georgia was one of those teams.Tough that we couldn't get him but it's not the end of the world.Go Dawgs!
YES, he chose OSU over UGA!
Lol
