The grub looked tasty, but the joint itself, the staff and the clientele, looked like the best place to chill. Like having a barbershop that sells food. Too cool.
I made these 'loaded waffles' a few weeks ago at home and wondered if anyone else ever did. Nice to see someone has!
Having friends from Philly I can say that looks official! My homeboy used to make homemade waffles just like this, but using crispy turkey bacon. I guess that’s a Philly thing because when I tried it from others it wasn’t the same. At all!
Sidenote: once you removed onions and peppers from the philly that became a chopped cheese🤣🤣
I'm British, growing up I never really thought much of America. Just the basics that it's WILDLY unhealthy for the most part but I've been watching since the Pizzeria on Staten Island (I believe) and I've found myself wanted to visit some of these places. Daym is definitely one of the best food reviewers out there. God Bless You Daym!

I was born and raised in New Haven, but my family origins on both sides are rooted in PA, including Philly. One things you can find throughout PA are pretzels, and loaded pretzels, but I've never had one topped with lobster. So now, I can take a short drive north, rather than 3hrs south to get those nostalgic flavors that I love but rarely get to have.
Gotta go back on Friday and get that "lobster bisKAY." 😂

I've never heard of stuffed waffles, either, but stuffed french toast has been a thing for many years - stuffed waffles seem, in retrospect, an obvious variation... but it can't be obvious because few people thought of it.

The waffles are genius and the sausage looked really juicy It's always the greatest when you can get a cheesesteak from someone from Philadelphia because they know the right way it tastes. The food looked great. My parents kept a kosher home, so growing up, if I wanted Bacon at home, it was Turkey Bacon. I like it. It's a little smoky than pork Bacon.

I have a device that makes stuff waffles with hardly any fuss. When my grand children come over. They love grand dads stuff waffles. Their favorites are peanut butter and jelly with the the cinnamon waffles. Thanks again DAYM

Around here th In my city there's not a lot of Philly Steak places and the good ones charge people crazy crazy prices while the affordable ones serve people somewhat mediocre sandwiches lacking in meat and toppings, it's a hard Philly game around here
I load my waffles with salt, tears and dread. It balances out the sweetness of the waffles and syrup.
