Thank you for being transparent, honest and speaking the truth in love. Fortunately there are people to help and not judge.

I have suffered from depression most of my life. No treatment has really helped & I now suffer with PTSD, anxiety & now fibromyalgia. I am a born again Christian. I am now 60 years old & feel so very alone. I so wish I could feel better. I think what really took me to the deepest part of this disease is when I found my Dad had committed suicide. I walked in & found he had shot him self. This was in 1997. Watched & cared for my mother who passed away @ 52 with cancer. My 58 year old sister died suddenly from a massive heart attack in 2014, that previous year my husband left me after 30 years of marriage. Have watched another sister fighting brain cancer. I don't even feel alive anymore. Just too much pain mentally & physically. God please help me. Ty for sharing your story Sheila. I pray you are well.

No.... Let’s not change PTSD to any other name, just for the sake of not confusing people, rather Let’s TRAIN people in the Church BETTER as to what PTSD is and how it is similar to other conditions which are very much like PTSD... and one Pastor who is on this ‘training’ success route, and is part of the vibrant ministry of expanding domain of healing is Mike Huggens who is on staff at Global Awakening. A few years ago, Pastor Mike gave an excellent answer as to how the condition of trauma is similar but not identical to PTSD, in the life of Lady Gaga popular singing star. Whatever Lady Gaga’s trauma was specifically, it caused her to cancel a entire series of live concerts.
