    Lovely video❤ I came across it by chance. I've been sewing for dolls for a very very long time and I can assure you, you don't have a hoarding problem😊. If you do, then I do too😂.When you have a creative mind it's only natural to see possibility in anything, and therefore easy to build a collection of fabric. It's so nice to see people getting into sewing again and the doll community is just a wonderful bunch of people.

    Of all the commercial patterns I think McCalls is the best. They come with all of the pattern pieces and step by step instructions so you don't have to worry about your printer ink running out in the middle of printing. Just watch out for sales for patterns at Joanns. I have a giant stash of fabric too. I have more ideas in my head than doing the actual sewing. Oh...another very important tool is an iron!

      I will definitely check that out! Thank you for the tip. I have so many more ideas than I have time too lol. An iron is an important tool, I don’t actually use mine that often though 😬 i probably should lol 😂 Thank you for watching 💕

    Hello my friend, I love that you are sewing. Thank you for sharing all your information. I love to sew for my American Girls, I reuse fabrics and baby clothes from thrift shopping. I use patterns once in a while. I normally like to design my own different outfits, sometimes using different things, like Xmas stocking or Santa Hat and other things. I enjoyed your video.

      Hello 😊 thank you for watching. I was going to do a video using a Christmas stocking to make a Christmas dress but unfortunately my health slowed me down this year. I enjoy making outfits from previously used items as well, it’s a lot of fun. Merry Christmas 🎄

    You are one of my favorite AG Tube subs. I love watching your free-spirited cutting and sewing. Somewhere a home ec. teacher is hyperventilating! Your garments always turn out wonderfully, though. It's so much fun to see other adults enjoying AG the way I do. #VirtualDollClub!!

    • @Lots2See
      @Lots2See  Год назад

      Thank you! 🥰 your home ec. Teacher comment made me laugh so hard! 😂 it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when you are learning to do something on your own, I like to keep it simple. I like to weigh things before I start, what do I really loose if this doesn’t turn out right, vs what I will learn. I love that with doll clothes the stakes aren’t nearly as high since it’s relatively a small amount of fabric 😂

    I like to go to the thrift store and get an extra large pair of jeans or jeans skirt. You'd be surprised how may doll clothes you can get out of it. Choice of many different shades ,too. Also, men's dress shirts have the nicest patterns and colors. Again, you can get a couple doll dresses or even boy doll dress shirts. Prices are cheap and there are discounts on certain colored tickets.

    Another good tip- If you have tracing paper you don't have to print the pattern out. I used an ultra-fine sharpie and traced the pattern from my laptop screen, making sure it was to scale. I like the tracing paper as it seems like it'll hold up well and it's really flexible!
