This is a behind-the-scenes video of what actually happened during my experience with a real-life cannibal in Varanasi, India. It was one of the most challenging videos I've ever shot, and many important details slipped through the cracks, so this is my chance to share more perspectives about what I experienced.

My husband is from south India in the state of Andhra Pradesh. I’m from a small town in midwest USA so huge culture shock going there for the first time last year! I would highly recommend going to Vizag in Andhra Pradesh! We also visited Araku Valley, which is not as well known to foreign tourists. My husband & I were lucky enough to watch the local tribe perform the Dhimsa dance - we were even pulled into it! It was such a surreal experience, but unfortunately I don’t possess the talents of vlogging. I haven’t seen many travel vloggers cover the Andhra Pradesh region. I think you would have more really unique content if you visited there!
Never, I wouldn’t survive a day 😬
No worries, you’d be consumed in the morning for breakfast
@@genesis2936 most likely 😫
So no McDonald’s Big Mac for the Aghori man (beef, cow is sacred), but Ronald McDonald appears irresistibly tasty.
😅
lol lol
The aghoris don’t give af bro they’ll eat beef
I am from India and the cannibalism you met was very kind compared to other cannibalisms
damn, so much to see.
looking forward to your upcoming videos.
I definitely want to visit India. There are so many interesting things to see and to do. I personally love Indian temples, mosques and forts, but there are also beautiful mountains, beaches and forests, many festivals and celebrations, unique animal and plant species... The list seems endless
Speaking of lassis, I hope you went to Blue Lassi, Drew. It's reputedly THE best place for lassis. I've tried it myself there, and it's brilliant you get to pick so many flavors with so many choices of toppings.
We were just there- best lassi of the trip!
@@girlsontheloose1 Glad to hear it's still holding up!
Me and my boyfriend loved India and are missing it a lot - we will go back - so thank you for bringing and showing us these stories... we are adding many more things to do while being there!!!
Good work, even including me indian don't know about unique places of india, keep it up, and make videos on all world religiously, culturally, ethnically diversity like this👍,your work inspired people for travel, just love it👏
He seemed to be having too much fun trying to scare you. Kudos to you for being such a team player!
As a Hindu they are not real aghori The Real Aghori never met anyone to show his magic he always likes to be alone and have many powers.
This is a scam they pretend to be a aghori and take money from foreigners for his blessings everbody knows but same due to commission culture everywhere no one talks
He clearly looks a idiot not aghori If they were real Aghori, this cameraman would have run away by now because he they would not have liked all this.
So interesting. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching 😀
Thank u for showing my hometown and our culture ,pls do visit next year also
Wow! Great stories!
Notice sweet ingestion is absent in country of Africa suggests sweets weren't wanted to be eaten in Northern countries such as Ukraine possibly?
No agohri is going to explain to you what an agohri is...
India is wild in every sense- wildly beautiful, mystical, hard to swallow and sometimes quite horrible. I've been there about 10 years ago (Goa,Dehli,Mumbai and then up into the mountains - Manali)
There is still SO much to discover and I'm slowly feeling open to go again.
The veil is thin there so beware of your thoughts, when you're there 😉
he is looks like a caveman
Hi Drew, tell you what, I don't want to pick a specific video that I want to document, so lets just say that I want to document my travels to every country that you've been to. I would love such a cool camera, and of course I'm subscribed to your newsletter! I hope to win!
Drew, i really appreciate many of your videos, but i think this one misses the point about the Aghori entirely. You keep calling him ''the cannibal'', while you might as well call him ''the holy man'' or ''the sadhu''. While the Aghoris practice ritual cannibalism of a very particular kind, it is in fact limited to eating small amounts of flesh from decomposing bodies left at the smashan (graveyard) or from bodyparts that are not entirely burned after cremation. This practice is a very old part of Aghori tantric traditions, and has a deep philosophical reasoning behind it, related to nondualism and the ingestion of substances considered taboo in mainstream bhramanical tradition; the same goes for all the alcohol etc. (to the aghoris, nothing can be taboo since they consider everything to be God), so this being deep spirituality for these guys, naturally he can ''roam around so freely in such a spiritual city''. Aghori means something like ''not terrified'', so him ''joking around'' and making you uncomfortable was probably his goal; to show you your fear so that you might overcome it, that is the whole point of this spiritual path. Again; thanks for your work, it's lovely to follow your adventures, and your videos are really beautiful. Best regards :)
He looks like. Afake aghori. The real one eat some part of dead humans flesh as a token. They do not eat humans. A small part of corpse that is being burnt.
How did you manage to not get eaten by the cannibal?
As an outsider I think Tamil Nadu and really Southern India as a whole is super interesting
The Tamils are super ancient and the Dravidian Languages are very cool

Do you have any more stories coming from India?
I already subscribed to your news since when the competition started
Shoe bomb is a cool name, Bro 😂
Nice one bro, I can’t wait to meet you in person
Drew what is your opinion on Finland?
That's what demon-possession looks like. It's rather obvious! On the other hand, sometimes normal people are demon-possessed and you can't tell. Drew, I wouldn't allow people like that to touch or pray over you or smear things on you! Please. I'll pray for your protection.
What 😭?
Hike up to Mount Canlaon, that would be a very good story.
You’re really the Michael Jordan of traveling 🐐
So a Dominant ingests and forces ritualistically a spirit attached for a internal hovering placement for an influence like a tagging or a type of percentage owning or hosting a spirit temporarily , so can spirit's actively functional disectionally attached ? If an organ donation is done a defragmented spirit would force a dependency for a feeling of completeness so holy religion is admitting an act done and supported so where is the notice when a spirit is no longer dissectedly seperated active or partial active?
Are they really cannibals?

Hello drew,
Definitely i would like to document my own beautiful country india with the go pro so looking forward to win it😋
As an indian i am still yet to explore my own country because india is a whole different world in itself with hundreds of languages, ethnics, food and customs i Definitely tell its a huge diversified country. As a travel lover i just want to thank you for making me travel more and absolutely love the experience. You are a huge inspiration to many people out there. Looking forward to win a special one from you🙌❤
Don't get limited to only cannibalism idea, it is much deeper then you think, they don't eat human meat they eat whatever is available after 3 to 4 days of shadhna, and they don't kill anything for that, just it has to be available to them and after that they continue their shadhna, cannibalism is nothing to them!
Don't blame the weed he is just mad finish and klaar
This is shocking😢😢😢😢😢
I got diarreah and also burnt my feet
For me visiting India would be a nightmare.
She better be careful before she end up like Reza Aslan😂😂😂😂😂

Are you ever gonna try and get to North Sentinel Island?
Being drunk and stoned doesn't mean the dude is not spiritual... did he ask you for money doing all this or he did it for the culture ? Honestly your documentary on aghoris with this man was far way better, more scary and unsettling than others on YT yet.. wich is actually Unique ...

Don't defend your religion bro.
Accept the reality and move on.
There are many hindu babas in India who do very dirty work but because of politics, there is no case against them.

And third who told you There is no case against Babas ? Then Who was Asaram Bapu, who was Bageshwar Dham and who is Abhi Sakar Vishori? Tell me, all the cases are against Hindu Babas only.many of christian missionsry he openly convert innocent hindu villagers peoples and perform his mahic show where he can heal dumb snd deaf people by only touching but this is not superstition only hindu baba is superstitions

I would love to learn more about the aghori altogether, these videos only gave a little explanation of who they are

Hey Drew!
For someone who doesn’t have the opportunity to travel full time but wants to make a visit to India, where would you recommend to visit? Let’s say for lengths of 1 week, 1 month, and 1 year
1 year.
watch "Gabriel Traveler" and his recent trip to India, you'd find very cool places
It depends, if you just want to look beautiful places 1 month would do. But if you are interested in feeling and understanding the depth of each Indian state and their culture, even 1 year wouldn't be enough. Also it's gotta do with what you are expecting with your visit to India. Hope it answers your question!
Hmmm. Interesting 🤔
How are you
😂 this is what happens when a liberal covers a story. “Yes they are cannibals but they are beautiful people.” 😂😂😂😂😂
Not impressed

They need jesus
Is Jesus God what a joke he died in three needle 🤣🤣🤣
What a joke 🤣🤣

Is he God 😂😂
Your Jesus was killed by mere mortals, how will he manage to protect us when he can’t protect himself? We don’t need Jesus, you need Shiva.

Next Stop Madurai and Kochi India
Being a social influencer kindly dnt put a label on our country and u being a constant traveller should know by now where to eat and where not and if u dnt ask people they help.
This is reality in India stop being mad 😂
Dang, it gets deeper, and honest! Thank you Drew!🙏Great video! Glad you found that doctor and he was able to give you effective medicine. On a weird side-note... if he gave you a local medicine intended for the gastrointestinal distress, it may have had some Afim, or Opium in it!!! which is not a bad thing, especially in the case of severe diarrhea and otherwise bodily distress.
Top quality content Drew!
Thank you so much!
@@MoreTravelsWithDrewBinsky which camera and lens are you using? :) thank you !

Not everyone gets diarrhoea, food poisoning and other things which most of the foreigners tell about our country, brother it all depends on the tour guide helping you, pro tip never eat at streets, an educated Indian which almost everyone is now alhamdulillah never eat at streets where u can see uncovered hand and flies, unfortunately government has been working on cleanliness and we will soon achieve that, but u can see and tell what is hygienic prefer to eat at tidy restaurants which we also find when we r out of country. Kindly dnt make a general mentality about us, we have been in top alhamdulillah now! See urself what is good for u and what is not when u are here
it is not about hygiene. every tropical countries has different set Bacteria and it is normal to have digestion issues when you go to other warm countries. moreover hot temperature and jet leg has also impact on body. this stereotypes of diarrhea and sickness is created by colonisers to show other cultures are inferior. they use same things for maxico, african countries and other eastern asian countries. sure every countries do have their issues but they use those issues to insult and destroy the societies.
True- we are just back from 18 days in India and we had zero stomach issues- even with eating street food sometimes!
@@girlsontheloose1 glad u had beautiful experience alhamdulillah, but prefer not to eat at streets but if you do first check the hygiene of the vendors our fellow brothers may allah grant straight path
