+pelusrubiusdospuntocero I know, at the start of "Life round here" I was thinking, "ah, that´s the drum machine going, now the drummer will probably have a break", but that wasn´t so :)
I was there, and I shit you not, the ground was literally shaking during "Limit to your love". I've never felt so much bass throbbing through my body at once.
jus discovered homey a week ago...been listening & puuting on all my Bros & Sistas...Yes im a Black dude frm the South Bronx who was raised on Hip Hop & R&B(soul music) & this dude is a BEAST!!!!!!
I was at this concert, wasn't my first time seeing him, but this concert was truly magic. Everyone was wasted from a weeks festival, and to top it up, it was the hottest day of the year.. I was sitting in a chair trying to stay hydrated because of the sun and not dying from my hangovers. But when the bass from "Limit to your love" came on, my god! seriously, that bass was so evil that my eyeballs vibrated and then I forgot about all of my hangovers. What a concert!
It's amazing how he can carry a bunch of songs with only varying his singing technics and his vocals, that's a complete great artist right there ladies and gentlemen.
It's really nice to see people appreciate unique and good sounds as this... Artists like James Blake deserve the appreciate..they deserve the open mind..
One of the few artists who can sing live, sounds exactly the same AND produces his own music. He seems to be more of an indoor, lights off performer, not festival guy. Only because he's sitting down the whole time.
do you know what else is going to happen,my man is going to knock a lot these so call black who call themselves artists hell he might destroy so call hip-hop all together.
i was really hungover at the icecreamstand and met a cute girl .. after bying our softserves we kissed and layed arm in arm in the shade and never saw each other again ... just one of those magical hours i'll will never forget
It's getting REALLY difficult finding GENUINE musicians now. And I've been around for about 20 years now.. exploring music. And James is the most unique sound I have found so far. But there really isn't anyone like him thankfully.
This was not the best environment to really enjoy how great this set was. Folks were waiting for hard and heavy music. Sunny and outdoor. This would be much better in a small venue at night. "This is the quietest 60,000 people I've ever seen..." --- JBlake. LOL
the setlist doesn't suck but the structure of it does." Air & Lack Thereof -> CMYK - > I Never Learnt To Share -> Limit To Your Love" is a sick combination
i hate it when people scream at the start of songs and then u hear the screams on repeat all the time. stupid idiots, you dont have to scream and squeal in order for me to know u like the fucking song
Daniel Martinez Dowsett I like how you wrote this as though YOU were the one up there with 60,000 people enjoying YOUR music. Since you're not, and likely never will be, maybe your opinion on how people should enjoy HIS music doesn't matter at all. YYyyup. Pretty sure it doesn't.
James Everett nope...im talking as a fan who as actually seen him live and it annoys me to hear the cheers on repeat after he puts his voice on loop. and guess what? i dont really give a shit what you have to say about what I say. Im free to say what is on my mind. I dont hear people cheer in an opera so im sure they could shut the fuck up when they know the sound is gonna be looped on a james blake show
It is the first time in my life that I am listening to this guy./n/nThe sound is strange, but not unpleasant. I watched the full concert without closing this youtube channel. I am at this moment at 1:05 and did not hear really a song that electrify me, but it is music which let me relax (Specially me who is hyper active.) They should use in psychiatric hospitals this sound to make the people calm down. - - - I will definitely check more music from this guy. Until now I am not much impressed, but I have the feeling that this can change.
the drummer is so precise, incredible
+pelusrubiusdospuntocero I know, at the start of "Life round here" I was thinking, "ah, that´s the drum machine going, now the drummer will probably have a break", but that wasn´t so :)

This is how electronic music should be translated into a live show!
jus discovered homey a week ago...been listening & puuting on all my Bros & Sistas...Yes im a Black dude frm the South Bronx who was raised on Hip Hop & R&B(soul music) & this dude is a BEAST!!!!!!
me 2..off time show the affair
lol glad you've discovered him.
That is hip hop world loves to work with him hence him being the only white dude on black panther album

innit hahahahaha
lol.
lmao
that smile at the beginning...ah james blake is so cute
It's really nice to see people appreciate unique and good sounds as this... Artists like James Blake deserve the appreciate..they deserve the open mind..
I feel like his music is like an acquired taste it takes about 10 minutes of listening to like it. Personally I think he's amazing.
One of the few artists who can sing live, sounds exactly the same AND produces his own music. He seems to be more of an indoor, lights off performer, not festival guy. Only because he's sitting down the whole time.
He's pretty boring. Not to discount his talent and creativity...but no live presence
+Karina Morin are you saying his live performances are boring or his music?
name his live show...his music is very 'chill' and relaxing...but live its a bit too relaxing... hahaha zzzzzzz
seen him live twice. he's so good both times have been incredible. it's cool someone who gets a lot of press attention that actually deserves it.
Mikey Curtis Saw him this past weekend at Sasquatch...best live set I've ever seen
do you know what else is going to happen,my man is going to knock a lot these so call black who call themselves artists hell he might destroy so call hip-hop all together.
@@bobcat8048what the fuck
I come back to this video each time i need to remember that great art exists
My new love...His voice, his mucic, im completely under his spell
i was really hungover at the icecreamstand and met a cute girl .. after bying our softserves we kissed and layed arm in arm in the shade and never saw each other again ... just one of those magical hours i'll will never forget

cameraman is fooled by the looping of the crowd noise on Retrograde every single time
Even the crowd was fooled by their own recorded noise.
oh god, that CMYK performance :O
No one had their phones out. Amazing
One of the best bands to come out as of late... Amazing music.
James Blake was already really & extraordinary good.
But now he becomes still better and better and more varied.
when an audience truly wants to LISTEN they are silent.
well, its not exactly "rock out & dance" music...
It is beautiful and disturbing at the same time
Probably one of the best live recordings ever made? The audio is SO good.
The Wilhelm Scream was out of this world
Shockingly good audio with this video, I always come back to it. Mostly for Lindisfarne
Overgrown and lindisfarne are absolutely beautiful.
Someone's been filming James et al from early days; they too are to be thanked or we wouldn't have all of this excellent shit. Thank you all...

holy fuck- does anyone see the bead of sweat roll down as blake enters with the vocals for to the last? insanely intense
This always brings me back to this day when he performed this master piece. One of my favorite festival!
For me he is the best musician in 2013 - and likely for the next decade
loving his vibe
it's purely unbelievable.
he is the genious of the 21st century
i would hate to see his show in broad daylight. his lights setup is absolutely fantastic.
Thank you for uploading this!

Humans are amazing
he's perfect
Really excited to see him live at Roskilde this year - if he's anywhere near as good as he was in 2013, it's going to be amazing!

So epic everytime the intro song is perfect. The build up to the drop is amazing.

Such an amazing show. Luckily I was there in the warm summer sun. :o)

This guy is so talented

Harvey Chambers, if people were there to enjoy James Blake and knew of his type of sound, they weren't expecting rock and dance music.
I Love How He Be Groovin To The Music Lol
I been watching this, along with the npr vid for like three yrs, I hate that I'm going to miss him in Atlanta next week. shit so sad.
To the last is one of my favorites ..
I didn't know Christopher Robin made music!
Asshole but funny
BRILLIANT!!!!
wilhelm scream on repeat. what an absolutely soul crushing song :(
There are no words to say , you should listen and be moved by this skill !
Art.
Still sounds so good
The vocoder in lindisfarne is so beautiful!

People finally starting to dance in Voyeur. Bout time!
the setlist doesn't suck but the structure of it does." Air & Lack Thereof -> CMYK - > I Never Learnt To Share -> Limit To Your Love" is a sick combination
Ahh, hate it when people start clapping theit hands during Lindisfarne ii... just keep your hands down and listen to the fucking song
i hate it when people scream at the start of songs and then u hear the screams on repeat all the time. stupid idiots, you dont have to scream and squeal in order for me to know u like the fucking song

James Everett and for your info, he actually asked the public to be quiet in some songs where he had several loops overlapping when i saw him live ;)
LOVE
Retrograde is my favorite
If you close your eyes, Life Round Here LITERALLY sounds like the studio version lol
Luciano da Costa Leal, de Campo Grande-MS, Brasil, passou por aqui.
I like the song at 24:18. Great Drummer!!!
Please have a look to the effect of sub bass on those heads at 44:36!
