My mom turned me on to this album when I was a youngster & I have not ever forgotten that. Such a beautiful voice ❣
I Luv her voice 😍‼️
My father named me after you , Im paying homage to a song bird , love you and thank you !
I never knew Morgana, had an incredible voice. Truly, truly beautiful.
RIP Mama Corleone. I wished the world knew your gift of singing. RIP.
Beautiful vocalist!!!
Rest In Peace, Morgana. A long under-appreciated song stylist, up there with the best of them. Should have won the Grammy for this tune, instead of the Beatles (whoever they were). God bless you, and sing in paradise to delight the angels.
She had a voice like a Stradivarius. Pure in tone, and vibrant. It's a shame she will probably be best remembered as Mama Corleone. She was a songbird.
so mama corleone had a serious skill in singing. glad i found this in the age of youtube
Fell in love with her in 1964 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11/16/20....I have not heard these recordings since 1965...So glad I have found it again!
How I love full albums in one shot!!!! Thank you very much. What a wonderful selection of music.
Wow im so suprised i never knew she had such a beautiful voice.
Her voice is immortal ... and at this moment, when another day ends, in a remote corner of Australia, the wind takes her voice to the Infinite.
Goodbye Morgana King...we will remember you for a long time.
Such a voice... I found out about her on our local jazz station while in high school. Only Minnie could hit that same register like Morgana.

Underrated!!!!! Loved her voice and singing style! Just think..years later she'd be cast in The Godfather as Mama Corleone!
Nope not underrated, just unknown by folks not into her style of music, Big Band, Jazz and Blues! Her role in the Godfather opened the door to a wider audience, how lucky are they for the discovery!
She died in March man, not a word of it! At least not here in Greece...
She gad a great voice!!
R I P Morgana King
lol, I was looking for something about a producer called King Honey...glad I ended up here :)
"A Taste Of Honey" mid-sixties as a teen forever changed my taste in music, brilliant Morgana King voice framed by mesmerizing arrangements make for a sublime musical journey unlike any other, sadly nothing in music this extraordinary will ever happen again so enjoy...
I discovered Morgana after she passed. I'm sorry that she gained popularity after her death.
Wow.
How well sings mama Corleone!
Thanks, Anti Hero, this was a great album which I bought when it came out (about 1973?) featuring the 'rhapsodic' style of Morgana King to full advantage. She had operatic touches to her style which would usually be fatal for jazz singing, but she made it work very effectively. Have been trying for years to find '...1,000 Eyes' on RUclips without luck, so thanks again. Best version I've ever heard, even tops the mighty version by Coltrane, imo.
A Taste Of Honey came out mid-sixties, reissued with additional tracks 1973 as Cuore Di Mama not yet on CD
Im an Instant fan :)
👍 !
00:52..... Perfect
Like Dame Cleo Lane--One of a Kind 🥰
I worked with her, not the nicest person but she made great records I'll give her that much. R.I.P. Morgana
Could you please expand on that? In what way was she "not nice?"
I reped for both Mainstream and Muse. She always complained about everyone around her and how she was never treated with respect. I don't think in the 5 or 6 years she ever had anything to say that was positive. She hated Bob Shad and was always complaing about Joe Fields. Every Tower Record store seemed to be out to get her by "Hiding" her albums...
A sure sign of great artistry, insecure and longing to be loved..a sure sign..of Greatness
I don't think she was insecure but more of the idea that she wasn't making the money and getting the exposure of other artists. I always liked her work but admittedly her artistry was not for everybody and I think that made her very bitter.
@@IvanGoldberg Couldn't you keep that memory to yourself, seeing how she's now dead? What's the point of being the only *negative fly in the oinment?* We could have done without your recollection of events or interactions with Ms Morgana King.
Kind of a freaky thing to do with such an incredible voice-uh. Ulghhhh. Puzzling.
the apex.
i re contra suscribo por posting very exelcius music
Seems like Cleo Laine was influenced by Morgana King's operatic style.
I heard this album 30 years ago but recall it also including blinding version of I Love Paris, which I'd kill to hear again!
James McNulty on her Wild is Love album, I think.
I Love Paris is on Cuore Di Mama Lp, recorded for "A Taste Of Honey" but some of those songs were not released until this 1973 release, so far not on CD...she sings a glorious live version on The Hollywood Palace
Not on Wild Is Love
Morgana issued LPs titled "With A Taste of Honey
" and also just "A Taste of Honey
." Confused yet? There's a wiki page of songs she recorded, with which discs they were on...other cuts were Lazy Afternoon and When The World Was Young/Young And Foolish.

Mujahidun Sumchai when the world was yong
Is that her photo on the album jacket?
No, you can see what Morgana King looks like when this Lp was recorded on The Hollywood Palace, appearance is magnificent and the Italian Diva should have been on the cover instead of model used but that is Show Biz!
Not at all.
Why is she known as a "Jax singer"? That's not Jaz.
Mom, im not Gypsy
