An incredibly beautiful journey so far. Later today I will be posting my ep 17-18 Reaction on patreon if you want early access to full reactions! I have been loving this show and Dr Stone so much www.patreon.com/jamiuwu
When this show debuted, my friend had passed away recently (he was only 32). It was one of my highschool buddies that I only see like twice a year and I felt like I should have put more effort to know him better.
I love the brief moment during the funeral where they show Frieren let out a little gasp, feels like the exact moment it dawns on her that Himmel is really gone and that she squandered her chance to spend more time with him.
The composer for this anime is Evan Call. He did the music for Violet Evergarden. Also fun fact, gojo and sukuna voice character in Frieren. They are often together on projects 😂 fairy tail, jjk, Frieren, fate.
Toji is also here. And funny thing is we see them 3 at different times each and none of the three ever met each other in show. I'm talking about sein, lugner,Kraft. Oh and toji (Kraft) is the strongest and oldest one this time.
That ending credit sequence and song is one of the sweetest things ive ever seen "im singing you a lullaby to come back home" 😭😭😭😭 such a heartwarming show
my Dad passed under my care a couple years ago (I was 20 at the time) He was sick for a long time, and disabled even longer. i couldn't see him during the quarantine, and I realized I had never gotten to know him as a person. This show brought up alllllll of those feelings again. I still love the show though
Im pretty sure heiter lived to be in his late 90s if not early 100s. If you think hes around 25 to 30 when he comes back from fighting the demon king, 50 years later to go to the meteor shower he would be around 75 to 80, then hes still alive 20 years later, then he loses his ability to walk 4 years after that, it would be assumed that hes at least 99
Those first 2 episodes are rough as a person who hates to cry. They know exactly how to get you with the music and the flashbacks to himmel thrown in at JUST the right time to get the most out of you.
8:29 "Is this show gonna make me cry? ..." Says with tears in her eyes... But seriously, this anime is really, REALLY amazing.... Glad You enjoyed as much as I did.... Greetings from Colombia!
I love this show SO MUCH. its such a breath of fresh air. so wholesome and touching, with a few super badass moments sprinkled here and there. best fantasy show ever imo
Frieren is voiced by Atsugi Tanezaki who also voices Anya (SpyxFamily), Viyi (Viyi), Chise & Isabelle (The Ancient Magus’ Bride), Dai (Dragon Quest), Hinatsuru (Demon Slayer), Lady Nagant / Kaina (My Hero Academia), & many more while in Eng Dub is Mallorca Rodak who also voices Yukino (Fairy Tail), Rossweisse (High School DxD), High Elf Archer (Golin Slayer), Yumi (Senran Kagura), Solution (Overlord), & many more
I just started this one. Elves in Lord of the rings are clam like that. It is the lives they live when they are with races that don't live nearly as long as them.
if you want a movie that tackles a similar situation with Frieren but a lot more personal, I'll recommend Maquia. Also guaranteed to flood your room with your own tears.
I don't believe there is a better anime that highlights the importance of emotional connection. Expect a lot of moments in the vein of "I want to live!" And, yes, keep your tissues stocked.
I love Himmel`s vanity. Him posing for the statues and even as an old man he says he's still good looking. It's such a great character flaw for the hero who saved the world. We like people for their qualities, but we love them for their defects.
This show is easily one of the best shows to have been created. The author being a true master of her art and writing characters that you grow to love and adore. We experience time as Frieren does and it becomes brutal to think of how it passes by so quickly. For us, relative weeks of time passed and Fern is already a young woman. I shudder to think about what will happen by the end of the show, but that is what will make it all the more beautiful. I am hoping for a bittersweet ending that leave us feeling awful, yet hopeful for Frieren. She will continue to live through dozens of generations of Fern's descendants. An eternal guardian. She will suffer every time, but at the same time value it even more. Of course that is PURELY speculation on my part. I have no idea how the show ill end, if Frieren also passes and gets to be with her loved ones... or if she just gets to continue on as she always did with these 100 years being just a sliver of her time. It makes you think twice about immortality, or near-immortality. There probably has not been a single Elf that has ever died of old age and if they did they would be tremendously old.
I'm only 8 episodes in now and all but 1 episode has had me in tears. And not just like tearing up, but like full blown ugly crying a couple times... it was kinda embarrassing 😅 thankfully I didn't have anybody to watch it with me at the time LOL but it was also very cathartic. I'm about to binge as much as I can tonight. I can't wait to watch the rest of this masterpiece!
Man I'm glad you're watching this show! Its so good! Didn't know a lot of people were crying during the first 2 episodes when I'm just here watching and thinking that's sweet 😅. Guess I'm in the minority of those who haven't cried yet
Welcome to the fandom. This one really does so many things right. And, it's going to keep hitting the feels button. But the nice thing is that they are happy sads, i.e. they're because you miss someone rather than something bad happened.
It's cool that you mentioned Violet Evergarden because Evan Call is the composer for both that show and Frieren. You can tell the directors for both shows had a big respect for the music he brought to the table as it emotionally shapes each episode so much.
There is going to be a symphonic concert of the music of this series. The artist for the two ending songs is scheduled to sing both songs on stage... I really hope that recordings of this concert become available for purchase.
about eisen, i noticed you didn't react when frieren said "you still look the same" when they reunited to watch the meteor shower. dwarves in this story also live long lives but not as long as elves. eisen is around 500~ yo currently. there's also a small detail that when they went to the place to watch the meteor shower it's just frieren and eisen who fought the monster because they're not too "old" yet in their relative lifespan compared to their human friends.
Welcome to a german lesson :D i wanna a old school jrpg or rpg from the journey defeating the demon king. Everyone gehts hit by the first episode. With Violet Evergarden Evan Call done a awesome Soundtrack here. This is definitely the anime we are craving for, for so long time
You definitely NEED to react to the english version of the opening! It's called "The Brave" by Yoasobi, and basically portrays how Frieren views the world and Himmel - It's a beautiful song honestly!
First i thought the first few episode was so boring but now im around ep10+ i back to these episodes several times already. It made me appreciate these first few episodes

Frieren is one of the anime that really hits you in the feels. Hope you're ready for the Feelfest, Jami.
I've cried every single episode... and when watching reaction videos... 😅🥲😊
Sadge beginning
This anime is so good I actually showed it to my mom who doesnt watch anime and she loves it.
Stop crying
People are about to discover a new ocean where Jami lives because the tears are just gonna keep coming
Step aside lake Mega-Chad, there's a new largest lake in town.
You got patreon? Is this confirmed?
@ghostglitch5355 think he is just saying that because Frieren has lot of sad moments that will def make her tear
It’s because the show is sad
When this show debuted, my friend had passed away recently (he was only 32). It was one of my highschool buddies that I only see like twice a year and I felt like I should have put more effort to know him better.
My condolences bro.
My condolences.
Tell someone a good story about him. Keep his memory alive.
it's a sign
My condolences bro. But if you can, try not to cry. Because it will be embarrassing when you meet him again!
>Watch Frieren
>Try not to cry
>Lie down
>Cry a lot
I've been watching a lot of reviews now that the anime has ended and I keep doing those steps every single video 😂😂
That ending song. Everytime the episode end after making me cried and they just "Are you alright?"
No i'm not goddangit. You just made me cried.
now during the second half we have “am i alright” 😭😭 no you are not for doing this to me.
the first ending song is himmel speaking to frieren. the second is her letting him know shes okay.
I love the brief moment during the funeral where they show Frieren let out a little gasp, feels like the exact moment it dawns on her that Himmel is really gone and that she squandered her chance to spend more time with him.
This show jumped instantly into being my favorite anime of all time it’s so amazing 😊
Wow... Don't judge you tho, it's damn good like that
saying that you're already judging him dude, mind you business@@dynamo_star
Frieren jumped to easy top 10 for me
same here dude..I watched nearly 200 animes
and you're not wrong for that. It is built different

Oh and toji (Kraft) is the strongest and oldest one this time.
@@307nishchay8 totally forgot about kraft.
But it's fun because sukuna and gojo often work on the same projects.
In FT they are fried and Grey.
i knew it was toji the time i heart kraft lol@@307nishchay8
Jami’s downstairs neighbour: Why is our ceiling leaking?
Neighbour’s wife: Oh Jami just started Frieren

Omg I’m so glad you’re watching this!! My favorite anime of 2023 and I look forward to every Friday now for my weekly cry session
U know this is like 1000 times sadder for me rewatching it now that I saw more of Himmel in the future episodes😔
BRO HONESTLY got me over here tearing up at old Himmel and everything he says 😭😭
the re-watch for frieren is insane. Im just crying nonstop
謝謝!

Yeah enrile outlived heiter
@@gojomazino3219💀💀💀
He was 18 and Himmel was 15 when they started the journey. So Heiter was about 103 or 104 when he passed. Himmel was 75.

Im glad you started recording this series, its really one of the best this season. everything about it, sound, graphics, story is great

Waaaaaiiiiittttt ...she is also the Goblin Slayer elf? 😱😱😱
Ugh this show is fucking awesome. The music, the art style, the story telling omg. Soooooo good!
It's exactly the same type of fantasy anime that i was craving for.Easily in my top 5.
Your reactions are amazing btw
Thanks for putting all the reactions of episode 1 and 2 and even the op and ending reaction in 1 video
So glad you joined this big family, so excited to see your reaction
Violet Evergarden has the same composer as Frieren so that's a good comparison tbh 😂 Evan Call is a genius
True, the music is so good
One of my favorite anime in recent years! Looking forward to this reaction series 😊
Glad you are watching this. It is seriously one of my absolute favorite shows right now. It's straight up amazing.
We have come along way from episode 26 now. Just rewatching episode 1 has some crazy feels now that I know everything.
Even just watching these episodes again made me cry. It is so sad and beautiful at the same time.
AYOOO Jami finally watched frieren aaaaaaa I was waiting for this moment ❤❤
Kinda reminds you of how you get a pet for a small portion of your life but they get you for their entire life.
This quickly became my favorite anime of all time. I never thought I would see the day.
Omg, I'm so ready for this journey with you. I absolutely love this show x
Yes I just got into this anime last week and I’ve binge watched it until I caught up 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
First time watching you. and What I see is massive empathy, so big for a single person to handle. Nice reaction video btw 👍
when the episode wants to hit you in your feels it does it to the max, also the ed might be one of my all time favorites. its so freaking good
yeeeeeees frieren finally thank you very much for uploading it
I just started this one. Elves in Lord of the rings are clam like that. It is the lives they live when they are with races that don't live nearly as long as them.
It's the music. Frieren has the same composer as Violet Evergarden and the music in that show amplified the sad parts immensely.

I really like the ending..'are you alright?' Like they know we would bawl our eyes out after every ep
if you want a movie that tackles a similar situation with Frieren but a lot more personal, I'll recommend Maquia. Also guaranteed to flood your room with your own tears.
Frieren is such a bittersweet show, both its joy and sorrow are as sharp as swords.
I was thinking that what Frieren experiences is the same that we experience with our pets 😢❤
I watched the manga this anime is really jump to my top 10 of all time, the plot of this anime is really mindblown
So glad you're finally giving this a go. I finally caught up on the anime and i honestly loved the feel good vibes it gives.
Keep up the awesome work and videos Jamie love the video
I love how the priest and dwarf were living the phrase, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
This right here is peak fantasy anime. Love the manga and anime as well. ❤
Been waiting for you to react to Frieren ever since it started. Better late than never. Yey!
LETS GOOOO JAMI U WILL LOVE THIS ANIME
yeayyyyy finally been waiting for your reaction to frieren
I'm glad you liked it, Frieren is definetely the best new anime from last year, it has such a nice vibe to it and a unique concept.

Thanks for the reaction! BTW, Evan Call did the OST to Violet and Frieren!
This is the only show which has a character that already died in episode 1 but still have impact and make you cry a lot throughout the show ❤
this channel has been my goto for whenever i want to see someone cry... to an anime.
this series screams "to be loved is to be seen" ❤

If this concept always gets you, you must watch the Maquia movie
Finnaly jami 🔥🔥
Cant believe it took so long to get this show ! but so here for it!. Best anime 2023 and so far 2024
Frieren, The Apothecary Diaries, and Dangers in My Heart have been the best anime the last few months. Just an amazing time for anime!!
The romance of those 3 are the best
If we remove the first two (Since they're continuing series), The Dangers in My Heart is currently the top anime of Winter 2024.
There is going to be a symphonic concert of the music of this series. The artist for the two ending songs is scheduled to sing both songs on stage... I really hope that recordings of this concert become available for purchase.

it's such a simple and sad idea but it holds SO much emotion
this story is very calm, reserved, and laid-back (just like frieren herself) but the emotional weight and the heartache of the relationships and events hit like a TRUCK
