The issue being ignored by the media is the traditional rules of siege warfare which includes the tactic of denying basic necessities to the enemy so as to force surrender. By allowing "humanitarian aid" into Gaza in the form of water, food, and fuel while Rafah is besieged, the Israelis are enabling Hamas to maintain its ability to fight on and prolong the war. This makes the charge of "genocide" against Israel ironically laughable.
