this is crazy but sadly i only have fortnite on playstation, would have helped a lot in making thumbnails because i never find the skin i want in the position i want in the render packs i use

Got it to work and it is awesome... only issue I have is trying to export the wraps for weapons and the few characters that can apply them... anyone have any idea on where to look to get those?
Nice! Is it possible to have a tutorial for cleaning mesh for 3D printing on Blender? I use Fortnite Porting too but the meshes bug sometimes and I don't know how to correct the errors 😭 With the surface subdivision my mesh is holey too
Ouhh yeah that’s a spicy one! I’ll put it on the list. The main things you’d need to do is convert Tris to Quads (edit mode > select everything > face > triangles to quads), select everything again, press M > Merge by Distance > Mark as Sharp (in the little dropdown box left bottom corner), locate the areas where there as supposed to be sharp edges, mark those edges with edge crease/ sharpness (shift + e > slide mouse), and see if it works with the subdivision modifier. There will be some broken loops/ quads, but you can fix those by selecting 2 vertices and pressing J to make a bridge and selecting the wrong edge and pressing control + x. It’s a little difficult to explain in words but the first part of this explanation should help a lot already.

Do you typically animate this way? Using the bones and all that. Sorry I'm a bit new with animation and have always been turned off by rigs like this
I totally understand what you mean (I think). Nowadays yes, but in the beginning I only used some very basic constraints (IK bones) and that was it. I hated the cluttered and overwhelming feeling of all of those controls and not knowing what did what exactly. Eventually I just learned to rig on my own and it all went away. I actually kind of encourage you to start super basic and maybe learn to rig yourself, makes things a lot easier. The rig IK Tasty included with FortnitePorting isn’t great for animation, so knowing how to work your way around bones is super nice.
Pray tell good citizen, does the Tasty rigs have an IK switch? Haven't been able to find it anywhere.
Sadly there isn't (yet), you'll have to manually switch off the IK constraint on the hand. I spoke with FortnitePorting's creator and they told me it wasn't possible to add with code.

Aww, your discord link is invalid now. Can you reupload it please. One question. When rigging a character, do I really need a lot of bone to make it like a human movement? Because I'm a newbie and still learning to create objects but rigging catches my attention so I try once. I use armature human meta rig and got one for me which is okay but looking at other people's stuff, I saw they put more than just a human meta rig. 😕😕

Rigging is a relatively complex subject to dive straight into, you're probably better off learning how to rig from scratch and make your own armature before altering advanced rigs. That will help a lot later on. You don't have to start big, maybe just create a simple arm can look up how to rig arms. Heck, you could start with a ball rig, that's pretty much the easiest.
@temtor Yes, it is really really tough when I start big like you said. Impatient it is so hard to control. I actually did try some practice from BlenderGuru (the donut), which I really enjoying it. Then I kept searching "Blender beginner" and picked random video and followed the tutorial. Will try your advice. Thank you for your word🤝🔥
Is there a way to get the facial animations to work with the emote?
I’m not sure, you should ask in the Discord server (or look around there), it’s a rather popular issue so I won’t be surprised if there is a way. They’re usually quick to respond.
The facial shape keys have been bugged for a long time. Half has tried alot to get them working, i have a video on my channel for how to add them for yourself if want.

I cant figure out the part where you need to sync blender.exe, I cant see it anywhere in my files, can somebody help me please!
It’s most likely under “C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\[YOUR BLENDER VERSION]” and then just select “blender” or “blender.exe”
Make sure to install Blender first if you haven’t!

If the textures are blurry you should go into the Epic Games launcher, into the Library, locate Fortnite, click the three dots, click “Options” and make sure everything under “Fortnite Installation Options” is checked. Especially High Resolution Textures and Pre-download Streamed Assets. Then re-import your model.

I’m not trying to hate, but it feels like a scam, joining a discord and downloading things and clicking random links…
I understand that, I felt like that when I first started. Maybe I’m a little too used to joining discord servers and clicking random links at this point haha. You can try joining the discord and look around for a bit, there’s no possible way for you to get a virus or anything doing that. It’s highly unlikely that people will try to even talk to you in there, let alone scam you. And if they still do, just ignore them.
Scammers, people with mischievous intentions and even people who promote (irrelevant) stuff get banned or kicked. If you’re unsure you can trust me you can look through my channel. Scammers typically don’t share tutorials on how to make stuff in blender (without urging them to click on links) and then show them the results through short cinematics and trailers.
Of course you’re right to feel that way though, it’s the safest way to browse the internet. There is no “official” method supported by Fortnite/ Epic Games to import Fortnite models into Blender, so downloading external programs is your only option, but you can always try UEFN to figure out your options there. Even if the film making options are currently more limited.

How do I move it to unity
I honestly have no idea.. you can try looking up a tutorial on how to move models with rigs from Blender to Unity but this program doesn’t support it. It does support Unreal Engine though
