Glad you had a good time building it and it kind of stinks you cut out the body wrong though. I know the feeling of "I want to get it done, it's so close" all to well! Glad you were able to grab another one quickly! It looks nice and I am looking forward to seeing it on the track.
Thanks Addam. Was a really fun build. The body mishap was absolutely because of the content push...lol. Part of what we do in the rush to get everything covered. All good and it happens. Was 100% fun none the less .
I’d love to have one of these, done up in 80’s livery. Momma said no more RC’s for a while though so not happening right now anyway 🤷♂️ we’ll done buddy. Love it
Lol...I hear that brother. This one got a few raised eyebrows when it showed up on my doorstep. Thankfully I had a few A-main points stashed away to soften the blow...haha. Appreciate the support as always.
Great build fella! Kyosho really are excelling in their releases for us vintage fans over the last few years. There kits are next level business, and such a delight to build and run. I love their gold shocks, so smooth and oozing with quality. And those yellow wheels just scream 80s rc racing at you! Shame about the body, but a very easy mistake to make.... especially when you are so focused on getting it done quickly to get it out on the track. Can't wait to see this one unleashed on the track buddy! 👍 👍 👍
Thanks my friend. Was a bit hesitant on pulling the trigger because of the kits price...but the build experience was worth it. Kyosho has absolutely been knocking it out of the park lately. Runs as good as it looks! Appreciate it as always.
Very nice build 👍They should have put a big warning on the body cut-line 😢 (or maybe it was on purpose to sell a few Tomahawk bodies... 💰). Can't wait to see it on the track 🏁
Haha...there is a fairly large stand alone instruction sheet that I failed to look at. At least it was still available. Guess I need to pick up a Tomahawk now...lol.
Its an awsome build, and im loving mine, goes really well on track. But as its winter its indoors, so really looking forward to getting it out on the grass track next year 👌 im pretty sure your not the only one to miss the bodyshell mods 👍
Nice work. I have considered getting this chassis, but it’s really spendy. I’m wondering spraying a clearcoat on the chassis is the done thing, to protect it a bit.
Thanks so much. The build was super fun for me. Been a bit since I built a two stack ball diff...but it all came back to me. I used a sheet of lexon to protect the bottom for the run. Aside from the body failure...it was a great build. Appreciate the support.
Honestly it’s all about those orange handled pliers. Have the same pair and they work great 😂.. In all seriousness though the car turned out great. What motor ? And can’t wait to see her run
Yes...the rere includes a slipper. One thing I don't like about the Kyosho rere kits is that they beefed up the gearbox. Would prefer an exact copy to the org.
My wife bought this for me when she was in Hong Kong for business. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
That's awesome! Really was a fun build.
Looks very nice! Can’t wait to see it run.
Thanks so much! Running video soon 😊

Lovely build fella!! This is going to go so well out there on the track.
Really fun build my friend. Appreciate it as always.

Thanks my friend. Running video will be out soon!
Awesome build, it looks amazing! Can’t wait to see how it does on the track!!👍🤘
Thanks brother. Went well for sure!
It's a shame it happens we all make mistakes looks awesome 😎 great job
It happens for sure. Appreciate it brother.

Lol...yep think it got a few of us. Really happy with its performance. Appreciate it my friend.

Awesome videos as always thank you for the great content. What is that gold lipo your using looks very bling!
Thanks so much! It's an old trackpower pack that has held up numbers wise over the years.
Sweet video.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much brother. We run a 2s lipo and a 25.5 brushless in all of the "pro level" cars. Appreciate the support.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC of course my dude. ✌️👍

Was I seeing things, or was that a slipper clutch on the top shaft?
Yes...the rere includes a slipper. One thing I don't like about the Kyosho rere kits is that they beefed up the gearbox. Would prefer an exact copy to the org.
8:18 Is that an Associated RC10?
Yes sir! Had to borrow a servo...😆
How close is it the the original one i wonder
I'm not sure. Think looks wise it's pretty close. Beefed up gearbox (with a slipper) I would assume is the biggest difference.
Bummer about the body. Guess you need to order a Tomahawk kit to put it on...
Yep...fixed it in the video (I did need to order another body, unfortunately). All good now.
Was an expensive lesson 😢
These are going for aud 1000 in oz😮
Oh man...that's crazy! I mean it's a really cool buggy...don't get me wrong. But it's not "true" vintage.
It does stink about the body but now ya got a spare 😁
One might say I need a Tomahawk now...haha
