Very nice! I totally agree about the Venator class destroyer. I am so jealous of your Millennium Falcon. That has become one of the most sought after (and most expensive) UCS sets ever. That thing is worth thousands and thousands. Love that Tantive IV too.
Hey DownUnder Bricks,Great collection you have mate. a lot of man hours have gone into your models. I have still new in box UCS Tie Interceptor 7181 which my wife bought for me back in 2003 for $90.00 as a 37th birthday prezzie. My 11 yo son has been hounding me for a couple of years to open the box & make it on my behalf lol. I reckon i'm just going to let him build it as he's got his heart set on it. Can't wait to see your new additions.
Wow that's so cool! He'll be one happy boy (don't check the resale price first though LOL). I ended building my own UCS TIE Interceptor version because of how much they go for =) I have a couple of updated UCS collection videos if you want to check them out. Thanks for watching
I love the UCS sets. I have all the ones in the video as well as the Imperial Shuttle, Slave I, TIE Advanced, TIE Interceptor, Red 5 X-wing, Naboo Starfighter, and Y-wing. Some are still MIB. My MF is also a first edition with the certificate and the misprinted sticker. In addition I have four out of the five maquette figures (missing the Blackhole Trooper) and 120+ non-UCS Star Wars sets. I can only imagine how much money I have sitting on my shelves and in the attic in the form of plastic bricks.
Wow mate, that's one awesome collection! Someone that understand me lol. I do have another updated UCS collection video if you want to check it out ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html I have recently set up a large display to show all the UCS off which I'm very happy with. I also have a huge amount of minifig scale sets built and boxed. I've pretty much stopped looking at adding the older sets to my UCS collection just because of the price of them but I really wanted the TIE Interceptor so recently I built my own, as a fellow UCS fan I would love to hear what you think as compared to Lego's version ruclips.net/video/jRsl9iRMe-c/видео.html
I have been forced to go to lepin for some of these, likely get the falcon off lepin, just got the ssd, and ucs sd, and death star from them. I want the 800 dollar falcon but they are still under a severe shortage and losing patience so might cave and get lepins.
Awesome collection there mate, my ucs collection is r2d2,slave 1,tie interceptor, deathstar 1,at-st and just saving for ucs imperial shuttle and the new ucs tie fighter. I was wondering if you have any good tips for keeping them clean and dust free as the only thing i can do at the moment is distmanling them which is so time comsuming.
Very nice collection you have, TIE Interceptor very cool. Imperial shuttle ay you better not watch my latest haul vid you might cry :). To keep my sets clean I use a variety of methods, I use a makeup brush (blush brush) and vacuum, a blast with an air compressor and I keep them covered with blockout curtain material most of the time. I normally uncover them for about one week each month.
Eric Fritz Thanks mate. Not long finished building it, looks amazing! Tips eh, well there's no numbered bags so you need a lot of room to build and lay all the parts out, a lot of technic building locking bricks together so pay close attention to the instructions because it's hard to pull apart if you make a mistake. Trust me I know LOL Have fun :)
Brick Adjuster yeah I will do a room tour. I don't like how I have my Lego displayed at the moment hence the new room, hoping to one day have an impressive display like yours :)
Yes we do but the closest one is like 1700km away (over a 1000 miles) :( I'm actually going to build my own which is why it will be awhile until I can get the new room set up. Too many projects :)
my most fav. of these is also the Millennium Falcon. Really wish I got the Imperial Shuttle. :( & I also am hoping for Lego to either recreate a couple UCS models or make some out of the new ships for, The Force Awakens.
Paul Djete Cool man, yeah tuff choice. I shot the video last night so it's coming soon. I will also put the measurements in the video description. Please let me know what you end up deciding on.
I just built my first two UCS kits. Two weeks ago I built the SHIELD Helicarrier and I just finished Slave I yesterday. Just uploaded time lapse videos for both. Funny you should mention the Venator, I just bought a MOC online off someone for it. It's going to be massive. 9400 pieces all told and 54" long. Just ordered the first batch of pieces from LEGO online. Going to take me awhile to get them all as I don't have the cash to get them all at once. Personally my top ten UCS Star Wars kits I'd like to see would be.... 1. Venator Class Star Destroyer 2. V-Wing Fighter 3. Anakin's Jedi Starfighter 4. TIE Bomber 5. Interdictor Class Star Destroyer 6. Mon Calamari "Home One" Cruiser 7. A-Wing Starfighter 8. ARC-170 Starfighter 9. Chewbacca 10. Jedi Temple
That's awesome man the UCS sets are really addictive :) I'm planning on building the Helicarrier this weekend. A 9400 piece Venator crikey that's cool, what a great project. I love your top ten, I would have to squeeze an AT-AT in there :) My picks out of your top ten would be 1,6,7,10,3,4. Great comment mate, awesome to hear from you.
He's a collie/German shepherd mix. Dressed him as Chewy for Halloween last year and we gave out candy with me as Han Solo. You should join the LEGO Addicts group on Facebook. We'd love to see your work.
LOL that's fikin awesome for Halloween! I've never joined Facebook, might need to look into it. Between family, work, Lego and You tube I don't have much spare time :)
Nice one. Im from Sydney and just ordered the new UCS Millennium Falcon. Also keen to get the UCS Slave 1 and the Red 5 Xwing. Would also love to buy a used or as new UCS Imperial Star Destroyer but not sure where the hell I would put it.
Id love to see a Jango Slave 1 to go with the UCS Current slave 1 ....and then id love to see them make a UCS Cloud City set , with landing dock for the UCS slave 1 , offcourse :)
Awesome suggestions! wouldn't that be fantastic. While I'm looking forward to the next release - UCS TIE Fighter, I like your ideas better. Did you know the next (rumoured) release for October is a UCS Hoth Echo Base, can't wait for that. Sorry for the late reply I somehow missed this post :)
DownUnder Bricks thats ok..:) yesi heard about the Hoth base , will certainly get that One...cant wait to see how it looks ! The Tie fighter im on the fence about...dunno what it is with that set , but it doesnt look that awesome on the pics ive seen...might change my mind once i see it in real :)
I think the most impressive thing about it is it's size. In the designer video when the dude puts it front of him it's Huge, the wings are like 60 odd studs tall. I do think it would make a great display piece but charging the same price as the Slave 1 is a bit steep. I will be getting it but I won't be rushing, I'll at least wait until 2x VIP points.
DownUnder Bricks yea it is steep a price too i know...Slave 1 i worth the 200 Euros i payed for it , but the Tie? Hm... my next big buy would more likely to be the Ewok village....well worth the 250,- and i like that set way better...only have 2 Ucs sets Atm , Sandcrawler and Slave 1 ...because they are minifig compatible and i like that the most... :)
Which set would you recommend between superstar destroyer or the imperial shuttle as I can only get one or the other and I'm really torn between the 2 sets.
Tim Pell That's a toughie and to be honest it's hard for me to give an opinion as I haven't built the IS yet (I'll let you in on a little secret it will be the next UCS set I build). If I had it built I would of done a comparison video for you. Either way you can't go wrong - they are both awesome sets, sorry I wasn't much help was I.
DownUnder Bricks Thanks for the reply away and would look forward to that comparision video if and when you have the time to do one. As for the set ive gone for the IS just for the shelf space needed for the SSD.Great channel by the way.
I would like to see a UCS version of The Scimitar, aka the Sith Infiltrator. And a UCS version of the Y-Wing perhaps. The Trade Federation Landing Ship from Ep I also is impressive to look at... it would involve a similar colour palette to the Sandcrawler. I also really like the TIE Defender, although I'm probably alone on that one. I have the UCS Red 5 X-Wing (original, like you have here), original TIE Interceptor, and the Rebel Blockade Runner. I noticed you haven't put stickers on the RBR... did you do that because they are shite? Those stickers have completely peeled off of mine - it is the only one of two sets to ever do that on. Did you know that the very original AT-AT has about 1100 pieces? From 2003? I have that one, and most people consider it to be the best looking version that Lego has done of it (I have it and it is awesome). All all of the other AT-ATs (even the ones with more bricks), the legs always look quite skinny and flimsy. Also - as an Aussie, it's always good to hear/see Aussies sharing their stuff on RUclips.
Great choices for UCS models. There is a UCS Y-Wing, I recently uploaded a updated collection video for June 2016 and I now have the Y-Wing in my collection. I have a lot of trouble with stickers peeling so I quite often leave them off sets. I have to agree that the 2003 AT-AT is a great model. Thanks mate :)
kongman27 Well I have the unbuilt ones I mentioned and I have added the 2 from this year plus a couple of older ones, so all up I now have 18 out of 23. Do you collect as well? I will be doing a updated collection video in the next month or so.
Hope your dreams come true but yeah harder to find and more expensive to get, my wallet has copped a flogging this year. I recently posted other update on the collection if you would like to take a look ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html
Thanks mate. Since I got back into Lego (2010) I have done that but the older ones I only got one to build. I have an updated collection video if you'd like to check it out ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html
V Bricks Yeah it sure is mate, once I get the Lego room totally set up I will have a better place to display them. When it comes to Lego these are my number one joy :)
lol Knowing how much you love trains I even give you a mention in my next city update video :) It's not finished uploading yet but it should be ready by tomorrow.
Awesome UCS collection.. So envious..
Thanks mate :)
Very proud .This is an older video but still a beauty,I'm currently collecting parts for Anios Venator. Awesome collection bud .
I would love LEGO to make a UCS Republic Gunship.
boys ansbacher this aged well
@@---ne9ez Wow, indeed it did. 😅
Very nice! I totally agree about the Venator class destroyer. I am so jealous of your Millennium Falcon. That has become one of the most sought after (and most expensive) UCS sets ever. That thing is worth thousands and thousands. Love that Tantive IV too.
Thanks mate. We can live in hope for a Venator :) The falcon was the best set build I've ever done, fantastic set.
Best Star Wars collection ever mate
Thank you very much =) I actually have a updated UCS collection vid if your interested ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html
Very cool, Very cool. I can imagine it kills you to not be able to display the entire collection
Mardigrasman23 Oh yeah mate it sure does, the hardest part is holding off building some of them :)
Hey DownUnder Bricks,Great collection you have mate. a lot of man hours have gone into your models.
I have still new in box UCS Tie Interceptor 7181 which my wife bought for me back in 2003 for $90.00 as a 37th birthday prezzie.

awesomeness man ... ive only just started my collection in the last 4 yrs .. seen the falcon on ebay for 12grand .. keep them safe my friend :)
Thanks mate, great collection to have isn't it =) Yeah man will do.
Really great collection, plus that you own the second biggest lego set ever (im talking about the millenium falcon)
ObsoleteSonicRules Thanks mate, glad you like it. The second biggest but the best! :)
Impressive! That's Awesome :)
Brick Adjuster Thanks mate.
0:11 top left corner little kid is stalking
hehe
damn i just see this video! amazing! really great collection!!!
Thanks mate, I really appreciate your support.
That's a sweet collection!!!
AGirlAndHerBricks Thanks
I have been forced to go to lepin for some of these, likely get the falcon off lepin, just got the ssd, and ucs sd, and death star from them. I want the 800 dollar falcon but they are still under a severe shortage and losing patience so might cave and get lepins.
Darth Bane hi Darth , I have just finished building the lepin blockade runner , amazing quality and enjoyed the build. Highly recommend mate :)
any body else see the kid staring through the door?
Jesus Mendez trying to get in on the act :)
DownUnder Bricks nice collection BTW I'm hoping to start mine very soon
I would love to see a UCS Poe's Xwing, or a UCS version of the new star destroyer from episode 7, or a UCS Keylo Ren Bust
Aww man nice choices, I'd buy the Star Destroyer in a heartbeat :)
isn't the Naboo star fighter the smallest us set available with 187 pieces? from 2002.
Yes it is smallest, I really like the chrome pieces on that set.
my Fav is X Wing and Superstardestroyer.
Awesome!
Awesome collection there mate, my ucs collection is r2d2,slave 1,tie interceptor, deathstar 1,at-st and just saving for ucs imperial shuttle and the new ucs tie fighter. Thing that's crazy is a minifigure scale blockade runner would be 9 feet long (around 3 meters) according to a video by brickvault
Sure wish lego would come out with another ISD .I need one badly
Awesome! Im dreading putting together my UCS Imperial Shuttle this upcoming weekend haha... I was hoping you had it built for any tips!
Haha Thanks! The Technic Pieces don't bother me to much haha.
I want that star destroyer...
Where do you store all the UCS sets? Can you show where you keep them?
Brick Adjuster yeah I will do a room tour. I don't like how I have my Lego displayed at the moment hence the new room, hoping to one day have an impressive display like yours :)
IKEA shelves are very helpful. Do you guys have IKEA down under?
Yes we do but the closest one is like 1700km away (over a 1000 miles) :( I'm actually going to build my own which is why it will be awhile until I can get the new room set up. Too many projects :)

+DownUnder Bricks I think the new movies gonna suck, but I still have hope
Interesting video dude. Was wondering could you make lego 10179 and 10030 comparison video I would be very grateful...
G'day Paul, sure no problem. I'll get a video up for you in the next couple of days - keep an eye out!
I want to buy one of these two sets lego 10030 is much cheaper and I want to see their size comparison so I can decide better, thanks man...
Paul Djete Cool man, yeah tuff choice. I shot the video last night so it's coming soon. I will also put the measurements in the video description. Please let me know what you end up deciding on.
Thats the best set!
Awesome :)

Well Chewy's on there because he's the man; and that's my dog's name. Otherwise the AT-AT would be on there.
HaHa oh yeah he's the man, great dog name. I had a Great Dane (he past 6 months ago) and his name was Jedi.
We need a AT-AT.It can be done not sure why they are holding back.
Damn, that's like 25k+ collection you got there, well done.. wish i could own all of them but a bit to pricey for me ;)
Thanks mate, I have a later update then this one and I hope to do another one soon.
Nice one. Im from Sydney and just ordered the new UCS Millennium Falcon. Also keen to get the UCS Slave 1 and the Red 5 Xwing. Would also love to buy a used or as new UCS Imperial Star Destroyer but not sure where the hell I would put it.

Yes, for sure! ;)
I want to see a Mon Calamari Cruiser
Oh yeah now your talking!

i want the snowspeeder so bad.shame they dont make it anymore.
SENATORPAIN1 It is a really great set :)
is this all you have so far ? you planing to get more

lol you better not watch my sealed set collection video (which will be all built one day). I have a Lego mountain to climb :)
I dream about building and owning those sets. but majority of those are not made any more so they are really hard to find
Hope your dreams come true but yeah harder to find and more expensive to get, my wallet has copped a flogging this year. I recently posted other update on the collection if you would like to take a look ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html
Awesome collection! Just wondering, did you get two of each, one to keep, one to build?
Thanks mate. Since I got back into Lego (2010) I have done that but the older ones I only got one to build. I have an updated collection video if you'd like to check it out ruclips.net/video/Azb3Ld6wjTA/видео.html
Hey downunder bricks, there will be a new UCS snowspeeder releasing somewhere 2016 :D
Yes that is what we are hearing, a Snowspeeder and Death Star.

DownUnder Bricks look at the kid in the back

lol
Lego has to design a UCS Sith Interceptor
That would be cool!
+Agent Washington Noooo, there are already 3 and it really isn't that cool of a ship IMO
I am a HUGE Star Wars fan and think these UCS sets are awesome...BUT...it so hard to find SPACE to display them appropriately.
V Bricks Yeah it sure is mate, once I get the Lego room totally set up I will have a better place to display them. When it comes to Lego these are my number one joy :)
DownUnder Bricks My TRAINS are my number one Lego joy but my Star Wars sets are a very close 2nd!!!! hehehe
lol Knowing how much you love trains I even give you a mention in my next city update video :) It's not finished uploading yet but it should be ready by tomorrow.
