This is the new BMW X3: PHEV hybrid version with more electric range
BMW has officially presented the new X3 generation. The new model gets a fresh design, new technologies, as well as a new hybrid engine that offers more autonomy in electric driving mode.
BMW has officially unveiled the fourth generation X3. The new model brings a completely new design language, a new hybrid version, but also a more powerful performance version. The new X3 also features new technologies on board, with a more generous equipment list in the standard package.
DOUBLE GRILL WITH A NEW DESIGN
As a new generation, the new X3 gets a fresh design with a body with many smooth surfaces and more sharp edges than the previous generation. The front is dominated by the massive double grille, which, in a first for BMW, receives diagonally placed ornaments. Optionally, customers will also be able to choose the BMW Iconic Glow equipment for an illuminated outline of the grille.
The LED headlights get an L-shaped light signature as standard. Adaptive Matrix LED headlights with special urban lighting and cornering functions are also available . The rear brings a new design, with T-shaped taillights and the number plate now located in the bumper.
In terms of dimensions, the new BMW X3 measures 4755 millimeters in length, being 34 millimeters longer than the old model. Also, the width is now 1920 millimeters (+29 millimeters) and the height is 1660 millimeters (-25 millimeters). For the new generation, the rear axle is now wider.
Customers will be able to choose between 8 metallic shades and one solid for the new X3. The exterior is completed by 18-inch wheels as standard, but larger 19-, 20-, or 21-inch wheels are also available. If you choose the optional M Sport Pro package, you'll also get red-painted calipers .
BMW CURVED DISPLAY SCREEN
The new BMW X3 is the latest model to receive the curved BMW Curved Display screen for displaying the instruments and the multimedia system. The latter receives a new interface, thanks to the new BMW Operating System 9 operating system.Also here we have the BMW Interaction Bar system for the centrally located controls, as well as a steering wheel with a new design and a new selector for the gearbox.
As standard, the new model comes equipped with electrically adjustable sports seats, heated and covered in eco-friendly Econeer material. Optionally, the seats can be upholstered in Veganza ecological leather or Merino leather.
For the first time, the BMW X3 also gets an instrument panel made of recycled polyester, available as an option.Also in the standard package, the new BMW X3 receives the following features: 3-zone climate control, acoustic side windows, the Comfort Access system, an electrically operated tailgate and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus system, which also includes the BMW Maps cloud-based navigation system. Here we also have ambient lighting with special welcome and goodbye animations, a wireless charging tray for the phone, a Bluetooth interface, 4 USB-C ports and two 12-volt sockets.
The optional BMW Live Cockpit Professional system adds a head-up display with augmented vision. The Premium Package adds lumbar support for the seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, adaptive LED headlights and the Travel & Comfort system. The Comfort Package brings sunshades for the rear windows, ventilated front and heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, a rear sun protection system and a pre-heating function.The trunk of the new X3 has a capacity of 570 liters with the seat in the normal position. Once folded, the space increases to 1700 liters.
PHEV HYBRID ENGINE WITH 90 KM RANGE.
Under the hood, the novelty brought by the new BMW X3 is a new plug-in hybrid engine for the X3 30e xDrive version. The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.
Thus, this version develops 299 horsepower and offers an autonomy of up to 90 kilometers in electric driving mode, in the WLTP regime .
For the first time, all engines of the new BMW X3 receive a form of electrification. The version with the smallest engine, the X3 20d xDrive, gets a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 197 horsepower .
Finally, we also have the X3 M50 xDrive version, the most powerful version. It gets a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with 398 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. All powertrains, except for the PHEV , get a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The new BMW X3 is also exclusively offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Starting in the summer of 2025.

What the hell is up with the noise I mean music? Trying to listen to the updates but too uch interference from the noise.
The Old had a real BMW look. The New one is losing that typical figure and is become a more fluid car. Honestly, I liking the old model but we had to move up with the modern technology.

Distrust in the BMW brand: unfortunately I purchased an expensive new BMW 5 series in January '24.
I noticed a serious flaw in the steering during bends, which makes driving unpleasant as well as risky. The car was in the BMW Dinamica workshop for 10 days in May and for the entire month of June. The problem today ( 22 july ) is not yet solved and I have terrible treatment from the workshop... In the meantime I have already made my decision: no more BMW!!

It's also the most popular BMW SUV.
I’m keeping my 2023 x3. My next one is Porsche Macan. Not this ugly 2025 model. Interior is more like a video game room with too much LED
