    I definitely will try this! Since my 2 furry friends moved in I'm afraid of setting up a Christmas tree with ornaments. 😁
    But these look so awesome and can't be destroyed (she said knowing that cats and wool share a high interest in each other)
    Thank you for your video and the real good description!

    Such an adorable tree! I noticed that you always increase each row by 6. However, would you increase each row by the number of puff stitches? For instance, row 4 of puff stitches (row 8 total) has 9 puffs. So would you increase by 9 for the next row? Thanks! And thank you for the wonderful tutorial!

    A tip for cristmas decoration on this tree:
    You can use metallic beade with big holes for this.
    But it`s easyer to find the right ones, if you use thinner yarn and a smaller hook (i like to use a 2,5 mm hook).
    the hole of the beads should fit onto the hook.
    The beads go onto the bobble-stitches.
    In your instruction, you repeat one step 5x to collect 6 loops on your hook.
    To attach a bead do this step 2x.
    Than put the bead on your hook and do the third one of that step.
    Slide the bead down onto the newest loop on your hook and do the rest of the bobble-stitch.
    Now the beard is attached to this bobble-stitch.

    • @Drachenbauer
      @Drachenbauer 3 года назад +1

      Or maybe you find tiny little metal bells in a crafting store.
      So you can attach them the same way.
      But there is one more thing to keep in mind:
      after sliding the bell from the hook onto the loop, be sure, that it points to the outside of the bobble-stitch, bevore doing the remaining steps of that stitch.
      Otherwhise it´s trapped to the inside.

But you can crochet the circle that covers it and just follow the same number of stitches. I also like to put some light under it so it shines at night.

I don’t understand how to do only 24 stitches of 2sc in the single crochet, and 2 in the puff and have it come out to 24 stitches….. with 9 puffs and 9 sc….I count 36 stitches,

    I think, a crochet-tree should have a crochet-star ontop.
    So you can sew it on or start with the star and crochet the first 8 stitches of the tree into tho bottom part of the star.

    Lovely tree. After you finish with 9 bubbles and slip stitch there is no need to chain one and turn like the other rows????

    • @kimcraft
      @kimcraft  4 года назад

      You have to continue as you crocheted the other rows.😊

  • @Drachenbauer
    @Drachenbauer 3 года назад +3

    You don´t show how to finish up the three.
    Here is an idea how to do it:
    At first create a circle for the bottom with the basic single crochet increasing pattern:
    6 SC in a beginning ring and 6 increases in each round to get the stitchcounts 12, 18, 24, ... SC.
    Do this until you reach the Stitchcount of your choice.
    Cut the yarn and fasten off.
    Work the actual thee like in the video until reaching the same stitch-count (all four rounds of this size).
    cover the hole at the bottom with the circle (yarn tail of the circle points to working loop of the tree) and work a round of single crochet through the stitches of both pieces to connect them.
    If about 2/3 of the round is finished, fill the work with toy-stuffing and finish the round.
    Cut a long yarn tail, pull it through the working loop, tie it thight and hide it instde the tree.
