I stay in Karon for less than $40 AUD a night, right in the centre of action a 3 minute walk to the beach, surrounded by restaurants bars and massage shops, comfy bed spacious quiet room decent shower ad a big fridge. I used to stay at resorts but found them poorly located soulless and expensive when you count in the restaurants spas and bars.
