MT Vasudevan Nair can be considered as top writer in Indian film industry... He won National Award 4 times for his writing... Also his prominent novel is "Randamoozham" which is the Mahabharata story on the perspective of Bheema.. There was so many attempts done to make the movie happen, but didn't happen till now because it need a massive budjet to make it happen, once it was finalized by casting Mohanlal as Bheema but it didn't started shooting due to some reasons.... It's his biggest ambitious project and he said he will only allow Mohanlal to play the role of Bheema, otherwise he couldn't allow to make the movie happen..
MT Vasudevan Nair is an amazing writer! He won Jnanapitha and Kendra sahithya academy award for his contribution in the malayalam literature. Apart from novels and short stories and all, he done scripts for films like Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Pazhassiraja, Sadayam, Uyarangalil and more. He is a legend in malayalam literature.
Some where i heard that director Priyararshan was requesting MT for a script for more than 30 years, but MT was not ready to give any of his scripts to him. Finally for this anthology, mohanlal approached MT and told him that he never requested anything to him earlier , but have one request for Priyadarshan. Finally MT gave him the script, which the short form of his old film Olavum Theeravum released in 1960.
MT is a Padma Bhushan,Janpith-Kendra Sahithya Academy Award winning novelist,short story writer, director,screenplay writer and much more.
He has won other awards other than Janpith and Academy Awards like National Film Award for the best screenplay multiple times,best film,state awards and much more...
In simple words he's like the Godfather in Malayalam Literature.

Each episode might range from 30 to 50 minutes. I heard Olavum Theeravum, starring Mohanlal and directed by Priyadarshan is the longest one clocking in at 50 minutes. Mammootty's short titled 'Kadugannawa - Oru Yathra Kurippu' is based on a very interesting short story which was a material to study at Grades 11 and 12 in several textbooks.
