You started very late. I started from Gurgaon at 4:30 am and reached Gorakhpur at around 7:30 pm. Halted at Gorakhpur and then started to Siliguri the next day. We also had our pet, who was not tied. 😀Starting late attracts a lot of day traffic.
We had no plan of halting in Gorakhpur and we knowingly started late as we had office in the 1st half. We have done Delhi to Gorakhpur on bike and its easily doable in a day with the timings you mentioned. Lastly, ensuring your pet also wears a seat belt and tying are not the same thing :)
fantastic and informative video.. me and one of my friend will be doing gurgaon to golaghat withing 2-3 months. So I was just searching for some information about route and places to halt. your video solved my problem.. thanks
You know I am just planning to do the opposite, I am gonna drive Tata Altroz from Guwahati to Delhi and that too in Dwarka. I was looking for inspiration and you found your channel. Thanks !!!
No issues anywhere. You just need to ensure you aren't carrying alcohol into Bihar as it's a dry state. Just keep all your documents proper in case there's a routine check.
We take that route often when doing Delhi to Begusarai (Atul's home town). We intentionally took the Gopalganj route while going and returned via Purvanchal Expressway
Hi just saw your video and it was great. Actually we also did the Noida-Guwahati trip in December 2022 and again planning to go next week. I would like some information from you. Last time we took the Araria route the road was really bad. While returning we came via Purnia which is a little longer. Can you tell me how the road is now in Araria? Does it still have lot of diversions, kuccha road, etc?
Yes the road work is still ongoing as per some local contacts. However, we still prefer this over the Purnia route since broken tarmac is a lot worse for your car's suspension than soft muddy roads
@@2UpTales Thanks. We reached Guwhati on Wednesday and actually took the buxar route to Purnia. the road was really bad. Totally avoidable. We stayed the first night in Muzzafarpur and next night we reached Guwahati at around 11.30 pm
Really nice attempt you guys did..adventurous and enoying both!! As one the comments said..very few videos available showing this route. So your video is an eye opener and guiding for enthusiasts. Just would like to say please add a map showing detailed route and the hotel and restaurant details you visited enroute in the start or end of the video if possible..so that it is more fine tuned.. Thanks for sharing this ❤
Yes but need to check before hand while planning the route you are taking. If you're taking Purvanchal expressway then it might be difficult to find CNG pumps
You can easily do it in 2 days. If you want a relaxed journey then break it in 3 days where Day 1 plan to reach Gorakhpur, Day 2 reach Siliguri and Day 3 reach Guwahati
Thanks. We paid around 3000 in tolls for Delhi-Rimbick-Guwahati. Also, we've covered some part of Upper Assam in our 2018 ride. Please check this playlist for those videos: ruclips.net/video/G9xGfnM3mAQ/видео.html

Landed on this video because of the Chevrolet beat. My question may be out of context though, it's related to the car. How is the Chevrolet beat in terms of driving and ride quality. Is it good enough for highway rides and are there any reliability or spare parts availability issue with it. Is the car sturdier than alto, wagon r ? Is your car petrol or diesel engine.
It's a petrol. And with regards to sturdiness or overall build quality wise it's definitely way above the likes of Alto and WagonR. Sadly Chevrolet is no longer on sale in India. Our car is now 10 yrs old but apart from a suspension change at 70k kms, there have been no issues so far. The car is at 80k kms now and there are no issues w.r.t spares and servicing as any car service center can work on it. Since it's a petrol so the driving is very engaging for it's segment. With 80 BHP and a small size, this goes plenty quick. Ride quality is a bit on the softer side but you can work on the suspension and tweak it based on your requirements.
Sir it was a really helpful video. I want to travel from Jhansi to NJP tomorrow itself with a halt at Gorakhpur (590km) and to NJP (610 Km). I have no highway experience and feel a bit scared and I am the only driver and I am a beginner. Shall I choose a road trip or go by train. An early response is highly solicited please
Thanks. You can take either Delhi-Agra-Lucknow-Gorakhpur-Araria-Siliguri-Guwahati route or Delhi-Agra-Lucknow-Buxar-Patna-Begusarai-Purnea-Siliguri-Guwahati route.
Very informative and detailed video, that's what a travelling video must look like. Keep up the good work guyz
Came for the roadtrip. Stayed for Shadow

@@2UpTales Do share the place details where you had lunch after Araria. That road kills all the time, fun, and energy every time.
Sagar Hotel & Restaurant. This is the only decent place in this stretch other than small dhabas
@@2UpTales Appreciate, thanks.
Both of you drive, its a big relief when travelling such long distances.

Why did you not take the Purvanchal Expressway and the Gorakhpur route since the second one seems longer?
We take that route often when doing Delhi to Begusarai (Atul's home town). We intentionally took the Gopalganj route while going and returned via Purvanchal Expressway
which car were you driving?
Chevrolet Beat
Great to see you guys post again, albeit on 4 wheels.
Videos on 2 wheels will also come soon :)

Do police ask NOC of the vehicle going to Assam from Delhi at any place?
Nowhere, you just need to have your DL, RC, insurance and PUC documents in case asked.
