1:45 minor edit lacrimal gland is on the lateral superior aspect of the globe. NOT the medial superior aspect.

With regards to excessive tearing in ectropion, I was always taught that it was due to non-apposition of the inferior lacrimal punctum to the eye, with resulting dysfunction and failure of tear drainage (rather than a failure to hold normal tear volume). Thanks for the video.

Yes, that is how it works. But the patient will complain of excessive tearing.
