Been following you guys since 2015, will never forget hearing "Glass Houses" for the first time. I been a lifetime fan since I heard you guys for the first time, I knew you guys would grow up to be the next big thing.
I think it's mostly to preserve Noah's voice. The studio version is higher, and I really like it, but I can imagine how hard it could be to play it almost every night for months.
Honestly a huge portion of artists do this. It can be really hard to sing higher live. As someone who listens to a bunch of male higher pitched metalcore and post hardcore vocalists I find a bunch do it on their live stuff.

so you can get lower and heavier guitar distortion, that's cool effects to have good records to live performance
Im gonna be honest, his voice broke and this song is a big reason why, they had to tune it down a full step so noah could sustain his voice
