As a retired owner operator and truck mechanic. I had CAT power but always loved the sound of the silver 8v 92’s and the majority of them had alot of mods with owner operators. Those and the twelve V’S were bad ass engines.

Looks like it would be fun to drive, the ultimate road trip vehicle vs school bus (buckboard ride): roomy, comfortable, not good on gas, not fun to drive in winter or in traffic, but great weekend camper.
Loving the country side. Farm crops A great video. The engine sounds great Ryan. More videos please. You don't need a radio with your girl gabbing all the time 😉😎😁😍
Depends a lot on the condition and where you get it from. Mine was headed for scrap so I only paid scrap price, about 4500 CAD. Though it didn't come with any tires, which were expensive
Ryan, I am looking at a 1980 MCI MC-9 with 8V-71 and Allison 4spd Trans . Can you tell me any downsides with your bus that you wish were different or anything you would have done different?
Just the usual things when buying such an old vehicle. The power train can be a little underpowered on steeper hills and parts are getting harder to source but thankfully I haven't needed too many. One of the benefits of such a simple, computer-free engine is it's robustness
Loving the original loading/passenger door mechanism.
