I agree that it looks better in the metal, and the level of quality in terrms of the movement and finish are absolutely on par, if not better in some respects with Rolex. Though personally i'd spring the extra $3k for the blue dialled grade 5 titanium version as the ss version's band is a scratch-magnet
I honestly don't understand how anyone could not like this watch. I like this version of the Seamaster 300 the best. I appreciate hearing different points of view. Thank you for the interesting video.
Yep I'm not a fan, most of my points are in the upload so I wont rehash them, I haven't changed my mind since making this! But if you like it thats all that matters!
I don’t want to start my comment with a list of my watches, but I own a large collection including Patek, AP, Blancpain, F P Journe and Rolex. I bought this model on a whim and also on a tan leather strap. I have to say that pound for pound it is a fantastic piece and holds up very well against my other watches. Though I appreciate your comments, I find very little to criticise the watch on, other than it not having a quick release strap change system. I have worn mine on a fagliano leather and nato strap and it looks ace on all of them. It’s a keeper for sure and possibly a future classic
Hey Martin, appreciate you giving your owners view point! I would love to review a Blancpain one day. I have reviewed a Rose good royal oak and was surprised about how much I liked it. That is a watch you have to handle in person. This was not my favorite Omega but that’s only my view!
My favorite Omega to date! Absolute perfection. I actually love the cream colored patina. As always, great review. This one is going to grow on you ;) 🍻🥂
Hey Beau, well I have had that footage for a few weeks before the review and I have seen a few in person including this one... I'm glad you like it, for me its not their best.
I get your critique. But I can't help but love this model. It has a lot of things I would typically avoid. The case is thick. It has faux patina. It has a weird 21mm lug width. The dial is simple without applied indices. It has no date. But, this is why watches make no sense to me. While it consists of all these parts I would often avoid, together they make a watch I love. The dial is clean. The watch combines a modern look with a classic heritage nod. And there is an overall symmetry and simplicity to both the case and dial design that I find satisfying. Regarding the vintage model. I think that is a stellar watch as well, and I had the opportunity to compare them head to head. The vintage (LE) model really presents as, well, a vintage watch in perfect condition. While this 300 coaxial presents more like a modern dive watch with 50's inspired design elements. On the 300 coaxial the dial is cleaner and a bit better executed with the sandwich style and slightly textured dial, and it has the liquidmetal bezel. Also the faux patina on the LE version is heavier (darker orange). This is something I don't like, but goes well with the design (actually looks like aged tritium). Overall, both the upgraded dial and bezel would not look right on the LE version. I think it was the right move to do two separate models with these design elements.
When I first saw this watch I knew I had to have one. It gives me the fizz. Years later its still my top preference for daily wear. I can’t stop myself from grinning whenever I check the time.
Speak for yourself. I love the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial. I'm a proud owner of it! Got mine back in January. I especially love how it looks on the Bond style Omega nato strap. Along with the size of the case and how it wears around my 7" wrist, it just gives it more character on the nato. The liquidmetal ceramic bezel along with the silver inner ring within the bezel is absolutely stunning. The laser cut out hour markers with the lume filled in is so nicely executed as well along with the nice sandblasted dial. The watch has all these technical modern details that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Well if it's good enough for Bond, it's good enough for me 😉
Nice watch. I can’t agree with many of the negatives you point out (except the chunkiness). I do like a vintage designed, modern watch and much prefer this over the regular Seamasters.
I can't say I agree I think this is a stunning watch, the vintage lume adding to the effect the quality of the watch is one of the best on the market and lets be honest it'll be worn as a desk diver.
Sam, it does matter what you think. But in this case you are wrong! I think that this is a stunning looking watch. Just beautiful. I’m also in love with the execution on the Blancpain 50 Fathoms so this Omega speaks to me, especially with what is under the hood with that awesome coaxial movement.
The Casual Watch Reviewer -Ha! Yes, a bit out of mine too without a lot of selling. But it would be my personal “grail” for the sea portion of your question with Chris.
I have used this watch for one year on row, I love it and I have recived plenty of compliments, I not regreat have bought this watch, even is above of all my Rolex
The 2021 updated version addressed all my concerns and I now think it's pretty much the perfect diver. It's now thinner, has the updated twin barrel movement, lollypop hand from the SPECTRE edition but with the proper unidirectional dive bezel, brushed centre links (polished outside) and a much cleaner 3D effect sandwich dial. Would be interested to know if it changed your mind too.
The Casual Watch Reviewer yeah that’s gonna he a discontinued model so logically I could see shortages in that. But not like Rolex where they’re trying to turn standard production models into limited editions in a bootleg way, despite the fact they are not limited and not numbered so rarity is unclear.
The Casual Watch Reviewer - Omega knows how to cater to a wider range of the market and meet the buyer at their terms. Rolex tried to box everybody in and jam a square peg into a round hole. Now they’re boxed into a corner and don’t know where their true identity lies. What’s going to happen when supply picks back up after covid?
I like the SM300 but the limited edition 39mm not this one. I noticed at 9:43 in your video when you were turning the crown and the hands were moving passed 6 o'clock that the hour and minute hands are out of time. When the minute hand is at 12 o'clock, the hour hand is already past the 6 o'clock marker. This is the sort of thing I've notice on the SKX but is completely inexcusable on an Omega.
I really like this watch in overall design. Much better looking than the other SM watches. Only design elements that I don’t like are the bracelet ( I’m not a fan of Omega’s steel bracelets), too much polish and lug ends. It looks like someone cut the lug ends off with a knife. They would look much better and fluid if they were rolled down like the lug ends on the other watch. Well, I got some files.
I have the latest version of this. It is by far my favourite piece, if I have a criticism it is too small. I have 8” wrists and would dearly love it in 43 or 44mm as that size fits me best. I also have an Aqua Terra, again slightly small, but it eats the Rolex OP in my opinion. I agree about the precious metals, not something I would bother to buy, but that’s a matter of taste. Oddly many of the things you don’t like are reasons why I have it! It does have a certain vintage charm, can go anywhere and definitely isn’t flashy, a bit like me really……………………
Nice review. This is a nice watch, However, I basically agree. I’m not a fan of the vintage lume, I think C3 would of been perfect. C3 is slightly creme-colored. They should of made it 20mm lugs. I also think too much polished surfaces, especially the center links. Personally, my favorite Seamaster is the Plo Prof. However, it’s very expensive and not a practical wear.
Hi, Thanks for the review. Can you tell more about the size? I am wondering if this Omega wears the same like a 41mmm Tudor Black Bay. Does it wear smaller, bigger or exactly like a 41mm? The bezel is a little bit wider then the case so it is hard to determin the size on the wrist. What is your wrist size? Thanks you.
I would say they are similarly proportioned but the Omega has a more refined case. You really need try them on. its hard to describe really. Thanks for watching and sorry I cant be more help.
I'm not really a fan of the Seamaster range, nothing wrong with the watch its self I just dont like the styling. This one however is gorgeous and definitely going on my hit list. The only other Seamaster I liked was the 2254.50.00 with the speedmaster style braclet. Agree with you on the aged lume though, really wish Omega would stop doing that now.
Just had the Trilogy version for two weeks. Sent it back as it is to small and to vintage. This one is next on the list. A great combination of vintage attributes and modern elements . And it’s the right size.
It’s a beautifully executed watch. I wear mine on the original bond nato (however I cut the extra keeper off- making it fit slimmer in height) which makes it fit my wrist like it was designed around me. As far as the cream colored lume, it’s perfect. Who ever said lume must be stark white? New lume will NEVER patina, not on Rolex or any other modern watch. I don’t think stark white is attractive. The fit and finish is impeccable. And it wears smaller then 41mm, maybe because it actually is. There is a bezel overhang of a mm or two, making the case of the watch 39mm (I believe) This is the most beautiful watch I’ve owned. Accuracy is incredible. Yep, I’m a fan for sure. One thing I don’t care for is the bracelet. Too polished and the end link adds to the lug-to-lug length that some might dislike. Totally different on a nato (which is the only way I wear mine, although it’s attractive on the leather strap as well)
Fantastic review Sam...Well I guess no one will accuse you of shilling watches...I actually like the look of this one but I agree there are other Omega's I like much more 😊👍
I actually very much like this watch… I like the vintage styling And I also like the fact that it’s very low-key… I don’t know what Omega is thinking with this 21 mm lug width... If we all like the same thing then that would be pretty boring! Thanks for the great review…Cheers!
Absolutely John! I may do more like this that offer mire of an opinion than just the standard review type thing. I bet there are plenty of watches I like that some people wouldn’t. Like maybe the X-33 I mentioned in the review!
IMHO: This is the best watch I've ever seen ! 🤩 It looks simple, vintage and modern at the same time and has the best technologies ever made in a mechanical watch. I'm not an expert but even Rolex can't beat this one.
Thanks for commenting. I don’t agree this has the best technologies? The coaxial movement this watch has is in a lot of other omega watches? I would also argue that ‘technology’ wise the seiko spring drive is much more advanced. Ulysse Nardin also have more technologically advanced movements including a ‘rotator’ system called the Grinder system that winds the watch when nearly any movement is made not just clockwise or counterclockwise. Have you seen one of these watches in person?
@@CasualWatchReviews As I said I'm not an expert but I mean this is upper hand technology in a clean vintage designed mechanical watch and from where it stands I can't find a better choice. This is how I see it. It's the full package. Seiko always been innovative (from quartz to solar and kinetics) and Ulysse Nardin is like out of this world ! 😱😅 They are great but they are definitely Not playing in the same category.
Hey Sam, good review but i was conflicted watching it. I'd often agree with your points - ie the bezel on the earlier watch is more interesting than the bezel on the newer variant - but then I'd disagree with you on how much i cared about that. I felt you were often reviewing the watch for what it wasnt rather than what it was. I suppose no matter how much we like Jan, its always Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.
Yep, I suppose I do feel like this watch was a missed opportunity. Also I think they went just a little to chunky with the design. For my taste it doesn’t wear well. Its not just this well loved one I feel like that about. I don’t think the speedy MKII wears well or for that matter the Rolex deep sea for my wrist anyway. Do you think I should do more opinion reviews like this than just the standard reviews?
@@CasualWatchReviews Absolutely, anything a bit different is welcome. If I may make a suggestion, if you are going for a more 'subjective' review - which as I said would be great - explore your own feelings and try and chase down why something does or doesn't appeal. Too many reviewers frankly hide behind 'its just my opinion' which tells us bugger all. For example when you say for your taste it doesnt where well, what does that mean. Is that looks or feel or both? Does it overhang and look ungainly or feel top heavy and wobbly? These things are still 'just' subjective but give the viewer a much richer picture.
Not So Obvious Watches those are great points actually. I’m about to review a MKII speedmaster so I will try and add context to the points I make about it. We are having some good discussion over in the Facebook group. I think I sent you an invite?
@@CasualWatchReviews might have missed the invite but just lodged a request anyway. Still, it's very late here in Oz. Really need to stop cruising RUclips and sleep.
The regular seamasters look a bit too modern, the design is a bit too in vogue to be timeless. And when you buying an expensive watch, you want it to be timeless. You want the design to relevant 20 or 50 years from now. This seamaster does that better than the regular seamasters
@@CasualWatchReviews To each his own. I would agree in respect to Omega's all being great quality. However, I have a 2221.80 and a 44mm aqua terra grey dial and the quality of this model stands out for me as a lovely balance between old school classic looks and new technology. Thanks for the reply. Best
Well, I completely disagree with you my friend. I’m considering to purchase this model as a daily driver... or maybe a JLC Polaris Date. Time will tell...
Good vlog. I agree. When I tried this on at the AD it just felt a little chunky on the wrist. I can’t put my finger on it but something not quite right about it for me. Still, I’m sure it will be right for a lot of people.
Great review. I love the retro look of this watch. In my opinion, the polished center links in the bracelet are more appropriate on a dressier watch. I would have preferred brushed or satinized finish throughout the bracelet. I actually have the same criticism of the Aqua Terra line.
Get Rid of the Polished Center Links. for one... Chronos has a Nice Homage with NH35. I Hear it is a Solid Watch. By Read Reviews and by Peth Channels Review. I have been wanting to get one. Before They Change the name . As "The Watcher channel "Is Trying to erase the Chronos Brand. That I Like Watches Channel Helped Come Up with By doing a Pole. Watch Drama In The Works.. I think CHRONOS is GREAT. Especially when compared to AGE GIRL,LUGYOU,RETROROSS,ETC ETC.
Thanks, I was just eyeing this in comparison to the BB 58. The diameter isn't an issue for my wrist. It's interesting that I see these for US$4K (maybe less in other sites, I've not looked hard), but the BB 38 used is $5K at the same places, despite a $3.7K retail price. Both have the same vintage appeal to me, but sounds like the BB 58 may still be a better choice.
@@CasualWatchReviews That was a big watch reseller, so the price is going to be a bit higher due to that. I did see a used one for new list price on a smaller site, and that one only lasted a few hours before it was sold.
The problem with this watch is that it's neither vintage nor modern. It tries to be both and it doesn't work out for me. The recently released version of this watch fixes all of this in my opinion. It has the same vibe as the Black Bays. Well done Omega.
What Omega should of done, is to deliver the trilogy ver. without being limited. True to history, smaller case. Why bother to release 3 similar watches SM300, Spectra and trilogy with minor differences to confuse its consumers. That really baffled me.
@@CasualWatchReviews the aged lume thing? That may be the only thing I kind of liked about this watch at first, But I didn't really like all the triangles, and the lines seemed kind of busy. I first saw this dial style on the Railmaster, so maybe adding the bezel is what I like about this Seamaster. I didn't like the hands at first either.
Thank goodness you don’t like it. If everyone liked it I wouldn’t be able to have one for myself! Let’s please keep this a secret for true horological aficionados. 😁👍
Yep plenty of choice put there. Funny thing with this one is I have reviewed many omegas on the channel. This is the first one I said I didn’t like and it gets more views that nearly all of the others combined!
I hate you ! Just bought that watch ! Lol... Kidding. Tell you why i disagree, I live on a sailboat. I dive,I'm 60 years old,and can't see a date, without glasses. Now you say cyclops.... Ok,not a fan,but my dad, who's 84 years old has 1, he bought in 1975,that is well loved. Got the Pepsi bezel, but I couldn't tell you the model. I'll probably inherit it,so got that covered. I want a tough watch i don't have to baby. It's a matter of taste. I'll enjoy it.
Hey Robert, yep you go for it, wear what you like is the name of the game... for me any way. Whats weird is I review a ton of watches on the channel from Casio to Patek! Usually I’m objective about them... I think I need to make more opinion pieces like this because its getting a load more views than my regular ones! Watch out for... the most uncomfortable watch case ever made... the story of the Speedmaster MKII 😂
Not a fan of faux aged pieces . Even a deep black dial 20mm lugswith no polished centre links a little less less chunky and perhaps green indices it would look killer . Faux has been done to death...
Hey Brain, I would tend to agree with you. I don't think it looks that great in most cases. Also whats weird to me is that the aging look is mimicking radium.. that was a highly carcinogenic material that a lot of watch and clock dial painters died from. I'm not sure how much of a nostalgic romantic feeling you can get about it when you think of it in those terms.
I used to really want this model because of the similar look to the original 1957 Seamaster and then they came out with the limited 1957 reissue in 2017 and I bought one of those instead! The reissue 1957 is such a better designed watch.
We can agree to disagree then! The gold clearly didn’t sell too well as they discontinued it. Also omega make a rose gold aqua terra cheaper. Just to also add, they are a gold alloy Omega created not solid gold.
Ok,let me tell you why you may be wrong. I say, maybe, because you're likely, correct me if I'm wrong, a desk diver,or a RUclipsr, with a knowledge of watches. Good for you. Seriously, no animosity. I,on the other hand, am a Capt. Of a 50 year old Allied Chance 30-30 Bluewater racing sailboat. Google it. I know quality. I built mega yachts for 10 years. I've been living on a sailboat for 12 years. I dive. I've been diving since 1973, about the same time I learned to sail. I wear the watch. I wear it every day,and it'll take a beating. Do I have gripes? Yep, I do. The lum,is weak, and the case back is unnecessary but as long as it doesn't fail ? Who cares ? I see bucket loads of Rolexs. If you're not familiar with mega yachts, Google it. While i have no problem with a submariner, it's an awesome watch, but so is a Seiko turtle, which I've owned since 1984. It's a watch. As a dive tool,it's redundant, but i still work my tables, and compare my results with the computer. I have awesome electronics, on my sailboat, but i navigate by compass, and the watch. Usually off,by less than 1°,but turn east,I'll hit Florida. The main reason I decided on this particular watch is,i don't see em,and they're not a "Look at me" watch. Not 1 person, has noticed it. I know what it is. I'm testing it's capabilities, and I've told you my gripes,up to now. If I find others? I'll be the first to call BS. ,but just to offer a personal opinion, on something you haven't put to an honest, day to day test, over an extended period of time, seems disingenuous,or at best, uninformed. Just my opinion. Capt.Bob, SV 27th Chance. Tampa, FL. USA
Hey Bob, glad to see you in the comments again sharing a bit more of your story. Did you watch the the upload again or just add more to the last comments you left from a few weeks ago?
Agreed! I have the version in 18k Sedna gold. I found a quality rubber strap to swap out for the alligator leather and still use the great buckle so it really can be my daily watch. I live in Florida too, so a leather strap doesn’t work for me with all this water and humidity. And the best thing about it…like you said…no one notices it or knows what it is except me.
This is actually my default reply to emails that say 'I have 3 months to live and need to send 1 million dollars to you'. I usually tell them to just blow it all... go out with a bang! 😂
@@CasualWatchReviews Yeah If it weren't for the fauxtina, polished midlinks, and weird proportions i think the 300 is would be an amazing watch (I think that's why the '57 version of this is so great).
Picky, picky, picky... Only thing wrong with this fabulous tool watch is the unnecessary polishing. So few good watches available with No Date. Yes please, Santa!
The Casual Watch Reviewer Hey Sam, Santa came early! Bruce and Teddy out-voted you, Mate. Absolutely love my new Seamaster 300. Big shout out to Mark Worthington Jewellers. Great people to deal with.
Because someone has a manly wrist and doesn't want to own a submariner hommage and likes precise amagnetic coax decorated movment with display sapphire caseback, bracelet with microadjust and superb finishing. This watch is obviusly a step above the bb.I think it's rather competitive for the sub. No offense it's only my opinion.
You can’t say ‘no offense’ then imply that only people with a ‘manly’ wrist can wear this, what does that even mean? Regardless of your wrist size its the proportions of the watch that are off in my opinion.
@@CasualWatchReviews Of course i can,i just did.And that's mean not everybody sweetspot ends at 40mm. That is because i think the proportion of that watch just perfect .If that bothers you I am sorry.I just tried to explain for Richard why other people buying that ,instead of a bb.Still no offense!
Péter Csicsics you want to try and word things a bit better then. Your choice of language was abrasive not what your point was. I have plenty of watches over 40mm. I had the Speedmaster for 12 years at 42mm. Do you own this watch or have you seen it in person? I’m just curious as the dark side of the moon is similarly proportioned to this and it wears a lot better.
Hey William, did you watch the whole thing, I actually said the words 'this is one I don't love' in the intro. I explain the reasons why I don't love it for the entire upload, its the narrative of the entire thing. Its not like I titled it 'Omega's ultimate disaster that will ruin the company' or some BS like that. In case you want to read up on it Wikipedia defines Click- bait as: Clickbait, a form of false advertisement, uses hyperlink text or a thumbnail link that is designed to attract attention and to entice users to follow that link and read, view, or listen to the linked piece of online content, with a defining characteristic of being deceptive, typically sensationalized or misleading. Click-bait is not 'creating a title that is exactly what the upload is about'
@@CasualWatchReviews Yeah you mentioned once how you don't like it and praised it the rest of the video. Post a time stamp where you talk about why you don't like it other than it doesn't look like the original.
Hey, I don’t know if your trying to troll me here or what but the entire upload talks about the things I don’t love about it, the lume, the proportions, its departure from the original and the crazy prices of the precious metal ones. In all my years on RUclips and the hundreds of uploads I have made no one has ever accused me of click-bate so I can only assume you clearly didn’t watch it.
Great review Sam! I love the design of this watch, really gives me that vintage vibe! Whoever they did to a little overboard with the fauxtina and the 21mm lug width is a clear miss! Loving the new editing BTW!!
Beautiful watch! Having owned nearly ten Seamasters IMHO this is definitely one of the nicest. Cheers

Hey Mike, wow well spotted I didn’t know this!
The hour hand is definitely misaligned there. It's fine on mine though.
I see what you mean about the lugs now you mentioned it. I should have put that in the review!
Awesome video!! Why is there only AR on one side of the crystal?
Nice review. This is a nice watch, However, I basically agree.
I’m not a fan of the vintage lume, I think C3 would of been perfect. C3 is slightly creme-colored. They should of made it 20mm lugs. I also think too much polished surfaces, especially the center links.
Personally, my favorite Seamaster is the Plo Prof. However, it’s very expensive and not a practical wear.
Yes the Ploprof just looks so cool, even the newer ones look vintage, I agree I would love to get my hands on one for a review!
Hi Riggs, thanks for watching. Yes they really doubled down on the aged lume for that latest Bond release.
Just had the Trilogy version for two weeks. Sent it back as it is to small and to vintage. This one is next on the list. A great combination of vintage attributes and modern elements . And it’s the right size.
Yep I hope you like it, I was not a fan but others love it
To two too
@@robc8892 Hope your German ist perfect!
There is a bezel overhang of a mm or two, making the case of the watch 39mm (I believe)
This is the most beautiful watch I’ve owned. Accuracy is incredible. Yep, I’m a fan for sure.
One thing I don’t care for is the bracelet. Too polished and the end link adds to the lug-to-lug length that some might dislike. Totally different on a nato (which is the only way I wear mine, although it’s attractive on the leather strap as well)
Hey I really appreciate sharing your view and explaining your reasons.Im just not a massive fan of the aged lume look,
Fantastic review Sam...Well I guess no one will accuse you of shilling watches...I actually like the look of this one but I agree there are other Omega's I like much more 😊👍
Oh can you imagine if big watch companies actually sent watches in for review.... they would be 10 years ahead of where they are now!
Look like Rolex is following suit the same 21mm lug width
Great review Sam. I absolutely love this piece, thanks
Hey Luke! Yep just sharing my view on it but it is well made I have to say!
The Casual Watch Reviewer indeed it is, although for me the blue Pelagos won in the end when I was choosing between the two.😉
luke eldridge Pelagos any day of the week. That blue is just stunning. I really love that watch!
IMHO: This is the best watch I've ever seen ! 🤩
It looks simple, vintage and modern at the same time and has the best technologies ever made in a mechanical watch.
Seiko always been innovative (from quartz to solar and kinetics) and
Ulysse Nardin is like out of this world ! 😱😅
They are great but they are definitely Not playing in the same category.
I love it . After the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms , this must be my second favourite
The regular seamasters look a bit too modern, the design is a bit too in vogue to be timeless. And when you buying an expensive watch, you want it to be timeless. You want the design to relevant 20 or 50 years from now. This seamaster does that better than the regular seamasters
I love this watch. It is eye catching and the movement and quality is sublime.
I would say the quality is on par with all omega watches, not just unique to this one. For me its not my favourite.
Best
Honestly I like this watch, but the truth is that I have never tried one on, so I could reconsider my opinion when I will have one in my hands.
Its worth trying on, I lusted after the speedmaster MKII for a long time. Till I got my hands on one!
Well, I completely disagree with you my friend. I’m considering to purchase this model as a daily driver... or maybe a JLC Polaris Date. Time will tell...
Thats fair! Glad you watched anyway. I have to say the JLC Polaris Date is one of my favorite watches!
The Casual Watch Reviewer fine video anyway, as usual 😉
Good vlog. I agree. When I tried this on at the AD it just felt a little chunky on the wrist. I can’t put my finger on it but something not quite right about it for me. Still, I’m sure it will be right for a lot of people.
Yes thats exactly what I thought. I tried to put it into words in this upload but it was something about the proportions for me.
I would recommend the titanium version. I love it cause it has all the style, I love the blue over the black and its light weight.
Why doesn’t omega have all watches with brushed versions and polished/brushed so people can pick ?
I’d bet they’d sell 50% more in all brushed
I only know if one brand that does that CWC.
Really wanted one, went to try it on. Issue I had was the lugs are so long. Didn't look right on my 7" wrist.
It’s weirdly proportioned for my wrist, so we must have had a similar experience! Thanks for watching!
Great review. I love the retro look of this watch. In my opinion, the polished center links in the bracelet are more appropriate on a dressier watch. I would have preferred brushed or satinized finish throughout the bracelet. I actually have the same criticism of the Aqua Terra line.
Thanks for watching!
That’s the one part that kills me about this watch. I mean a 39.5 or 40mm would be nice too but ultimately the kill shot is the polished center links.
I still lust after one 👍👍
Yep I can see why some collectors really like it, but for me... not so much!
I have never heard of that brand before.
Porque no hacen estos videos en español??...??
Most beautiful modern Seamaster till date
Glad you like it Chris, for me its not my favourite
I like the watch. Classy look, but you made a good case for yourself Sam. Interesting review........missing your Omega yet?
Hey ray, no not so far, I have been sat on a number of reviews, this was a good opportunity to get this one edited and add my thoughts
Wow the BB58 for 5K I may sell mine! I see them on Chrono24 for 3.5k?
@@CasualWatchReviews That was a big watch reseller, so the price is going to be a bit higher due to that. I did see a used one for new list price on a smaller site, and that one only lasted a few hours before it was sold.
The problem with this watch is that it's neither vintage nor modern. It tries to be both and it doesn't work out for me. The recently released version of this watch fixes all of this in my opinion. It has the same vibe as the Black Bays. Well done Omega.
Oh I need to check that out, I absolutely agree with your first points!
What Omega should of done, is to deliver the trilogy ver. without being limited. True to history, smaller case. Why bother to release 3 similar watches SM300, Spectra and trilogy with minor differences to confuse its consumers. That really baffled me.
I actually totally agree with you!
its a beautiful watch!!
This one's nice, but the black non-wave SMPc is still my favorite.
I much prefer the 300m version also... the blue I would go for!
I don't like this look on the railmaster, but I've really grown to like it on this watch
Hey Michael. You mean the aged radium look?
@@CasualWatchReviews the aged lume thing? That may be the only thing I kind of liked about this watch at first, But I didn't really like all the triangles, and the lines seemed kind of busy. I first saw this dial style on the Railmaster, so maybe adding the bezel is what I like about this Seamaster. I didn't like the hands at first either.
I stand with your review 👏🏻
Thank goodness you don’t like it. If everyone liked it I wouldn’t be able to have one for myself! Let’s please keep this a secret for true horological aficionados. 😁👍
Yep plenty of choice put there. Funny thing with this one is I have reviewed many omegas on the channel. This is the first one I said I didn’t like and it gets more views that nearly all of the others combined!
Says it’s a domed case back after saying it’s flat. K
Personally I prefer the Seamaster 300 Professional over the Seamaster 300
I love this watch, mainly because it dosnt have the horrible manual helium scape valve
Oh yes, in a comparison with the the Aqua terra or even the planet ocean ones doesn't have the valve
Ok,I'm a watch guy. Ain't gotta own it to appreciate it. I've subscribed, so let's see em. Peace
Welcome to the channel! We also have an audio podcast, link in the description of most of the recent uploads
Hey Matt, I got to see the 1957 in person and its really nice, much better looks wise than the one I reviewed here! Thanks for watching
i would add that the polished centre links are a no from me
I liked the bracelet overall but this centre links will be the first to scratch I'm sure
I disagree, I think the gold version look sweet, and show me a cheaper solid gold watch!
We can agree to disagree then! The gold clearly didn’t sell too well as they discontinued it. Also omega make a rose gold aqua terra cheaper. Just to also add, they are a gold alloy Omega created not solid gold.
So this is going on your grail list huh Sam? ;-) I loved how you compared it to that classic brand Invicta. Drop me an IM - let's catch up
Sorry Riff I forgot to check Skype... will do!
Looks great on leather!
I have not seen it in person in leather Harry, so thanks for adding that.
I felt the seconds hand is too white and tonally doesn't match the hands or dial.
I should have mentioned that in the review your right!
@@CasualWatchReviews I think I’d take a Tudor Pelagos over this and spend the change on booze and birds 😂
This is actually my default reply to emails that say 'I have 3 months to live and need to send 1 million dollars to you'. I usually tell them to just blow it all... go out with a bang! 😂
Love this watch.
Hey Lou! Not my favorite but glad you like it! Thanks for watching

Yep, I like it much better so if I can get a hold of one Alan, I will. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hey Si, yep its not for me this one!
The Casual Watch Reviewer Hey Sam, Santa came early! Bruce and Teddy out-voted you, Mate. Absolutely love my new Seamaster 300. Big shout out to Mark Worthington Jewellers. Great people to deal with.
How dare you! What an @#$&*%. JK 🤣 You’re right, why not lug width 20mm/ case 40mm? But then again, Omega always seems to be grasping at straws, imho.
Hey Edmund! Thanks for watching, yep a few companies do 19mm or 21mm never worked that out
Bad taste.
I don't know why you would buy this when the Tudor Black Bay 58 is better looking and available for far less.
Hey Richard, I totally agree actually, I love my BB58!
Another flop by Omega.
The crowd agrees
Stick to fossil
If its a zodiac watch then I'm all in!!!
Flop? Wow. The best watch for the money. That includes overpriced rolexes. Period.
Click-bait title.
How is it Click-bait, I discuss exactly the reasons why I don't love this watch? The title is exactly what the upload is about.
@@CasualWatchReviews Where? All you said was you didn't like that it didn't look exactly like the original.
Yep, I think Omega are going heavy handed with the vintage fauxtina.
