- Today we are writing anything that comes to mind for an entire hour. Eraser parts cut so we don't have to deal with that sound :).

I used to always drift off in school when teachers were writing and erasing on the chalkboard, and until just a few months ago, didn’t know I had a thing and others did too! I fell asleep to Mr. Rogers and the tv painting guy and in doctors’ offices if people were reading magazines.

I've looked at other chalkboard ASMR videos and yours is the best. Your chalk sounds softer, kinda like when you tap the chalk, if that makes any sense lol.

This is the best chalkboard ASMR video I've ever seen! I've been searching for years (since 2012) for a video where someone does more of the "tapping" sounds with chalk than the dragging of the chalk over the board. And you edited out the eraser sounds! Genius! I am in tingle heaven! Thank you for this! I had to add it to my ASMR playlist to come back to often. I can't believe this video doesn't have more views....I can't be the only one who feels that this video is amazing. Zzzzz....

100% Agreed Jessica. When I was in college and the professor would write on the chalkboard, I'd darn near fall asleep every time, but it was the tapping of the chalk, not the dragging which did it.
This video certainly focused much more on the percussion aspect of chalkboard ASMR, and for that I'm very thankful.
I've looked at LOADS of other chalkboard ASMR videos and I keep coming back to this one... Its definitely the best. I find the tapping to be instantly comforting and so satisfying. Job well done.

Wow what an amazing amsr video, everything about it was perfect, the tapping, the drawing/writing, the actual drawings too xD you are very good at drawing. I really enjoyed it as it was very quiet and relaxing. I would advise using like a small smoothish towel to erase, since using an actual eraser is a bit too overwhelming after listening to the calm chalk, so something like a smooth towel or something similar would be cool (i saw it in another asmr video, it was a nice touch) 10/10 video I'm gonna watch it again ty and GN!
Edit: the screeching with chalk at the beginning was a bit annoying, but I skipped it and went to the writing :D

Hahah I have a few videos like that but I keep my chalkboard ones relatively quiet from memory - potentially the second one has a bit of whispering for those who like that.

Thank you! I guess I've only been around for around 4 months now, so it's slowly going up. Not sure if I know the tricks that other ASMRTists use yet (for subs) or if it's one of those 'steady does it' things :)
+Micah and Modesta ASMR You're content is Superb. My suggestion to acquire more Subs would be to create those videos that are most searched out in the ASMR Community. For example, Reiki RPs are super huge. As are any brush on the mic videos. Most importantly, keep at what you're doing. You are really good!

Interesting! Don't you find them a little bit grating? That being said, when I did this video I was quite inexperienced with the volume adjustments, so potentially erasing sounds can be masked a little so not to 'attack' the ears (after the quiet chalk sound).

not sure what about the tapping turns me off.....I just prefer slow strokes. love your page so skip sometimes
No problem at all :). On some videos I know that if the tapping is too intense (has too much bass sound) it can be difficult. I have a particular love of tapping chalk but I guess all just preferences. Thanks for the kind words on my channel :) xx

The noise the chalk makes hitting the board is so annoying!
I'm sorry if it wasn't to your liking :(. It was a deliberate choice since a lot of people enjoy that noise- not something that everyone likes I guess. Your comment has inspired me to make a version just with the drawing sounds.
Out of curiosity, was it the fact that it was too loud, or that you could hear the sounds of chalk hitting the board at all? Since then it would mean that I either need to be less heavy handed, or extremely extremely soft, depending on which one.
Can't please everybody. I am the opposite spectrum, I love the tapping sound the chalk makes against the board (the dots are awesome), but I hate the sound it makes when people press it really hard against the board when drawing (and most ASMRers do that as this sound triggers many people).
im not a fan of tapping prefer just a long draw. either or I got tingles..can always skip certain parts not palatable to me
This is all useful stuff to know either way :). I might actually get a second, smaller blackboard. Then i can do a number of videos with different effects. I find that this large one I'm using doesn't lend itself to the longer drawing sounds as much as the tapping sounds.
