Great review. Like the creative idea! Never thought they finish up so close. For me the io-12 is the best sounding Bluetooth headphone today. It keeps amazes me. I do have the io-8 as well. Hopefully you’re planning on testing that one to. It’s my opinion that the Dali’s are overlooked in most tests on RUclips. Keep on going! 🙂
@jeroenvanamerongen2180 I thought this would be a really good head to head. I'm trying to get the money together to get iO-8s in, so you know I'm jealous! LOL! But the iO-12 was a bucket list item for me. I agree, DALI had been overlooked. And that's a shame.
You have the io-8 already?! How does it sound compared to the io-12? I'm wondering if it's really worth the upgrade to the higher priced model. Thank you!
@@thomasferrarojr.9772 yes I have it. After breaking it in (yes, Dali’s really benefit from it) I compared it with the io-12. It’s a different animal. To my findings it’s a step up from the io-6. Greater soundstage en more detailed. But it sounds a little different comparing it to the io-12. It’s a little more base heavy. Still sounds great but it took me some time to get used to it. And now, after some time, the io-8 is never going to leave me. I also compared it to the Px8. I really like the io-8 better. More open sound which I like a lot. It’s more musical to my ears. Does that make sense? The io-12 is a league of its own but, for me, the io-8 is second best. Wish it has the same earpads as the 12 for more comfort. Very nice and sturdy built. Premium! For me, the Dali’s are really something else compared to all the rest. Of course also a matter of taste, I get that. I like to listen to different headphones but lately I exclusively grab a Dali. If you have the money buy the 12. The 8 makes you certainly happy as well. Hope this helps. It’s now up to Ron for the final verdict 😋
@@ronontech WOW! But I choose and bought Dali IO12 which is my first and only one full-size Bluetooth headphones. And I've made my choice thanks to your reviews and comparisons with the other competitors. Let us know if you find anything even better 😉
Did a search for this exact comparison and voilà...here you are :) Have owned the pearl pros and really enjoyed the sound but didn't enjoy the user experience, so looking for an early crimbo pressie. That price difference though...maybe I should get over my user hang-ups! Great job in this comparison, much appreciated. Subscribed!
Ok- as usual I loved the video. I played the songs on my Perl pro with my settings of course. You pick songs so well for the job. If the tiny Perl pros get sound like an over ear headphones- that says it all for Perl pros and it’s correct. There is no bus that does anything close to this. So yeah, I agree with your results and declare a party for the denons!! Keep these things coming. I’ve learned so much from you already.
Appreciate your reviews as i was looking to find reviews that covered the Denons. I ordered them today foe BF as they are on sale for 150 😄 even still I wanted to know what was there competition and was pleasantly surprised they are up there with the Az80s, Pxi8, etc. Have you compared them directly to those? If so, are you still Denon?
Worthwhile comparison, and a surprising result bearing in mind the not insignificant price difference!!! Audiophile quality becoming more and more affordable these days , and that has to be a good thing!!!
I do like these types of comparisons! I would love it even better if you did them with a slightly different take….. How about you do it based around sonic signature pairings? In other words if the headphone has a certain sound signature, which iem matches that?
Got both these Ron and adore both but PerL pros in personal dynamic mode, default is flat, on purpose i guess so when you personalise them they sound great…the io 12 are exceptional 🎉
Hi Ron thanks for this amazing comparison. Also can you please compare the crusher anc 2 and sonic lamb headphones. I think it would be a great matchup as both have bass sliders. The sonic lamb headphones is a startup company out of India, so therefore there aren’t much English reviews on it. Thank you!
@ That’s weird😂. Also Did you see my other comment about the woojer vest 3. I think you should also review it because it enhances your listen experience. Essentially it’s a subwoofer system attached to your body. You should check it out and thanks for your work.
Bruh just the other day I'm not lying I was gonna ask you headphones or earbuds. I have momentum 3 over ear, crusher Evo. And more but I don't really use them anymore and they right there. The momentum even has adtx adaptive. I've had them for years.
This is a creative and crazy comparison. Very nice, Ron!
Glad you liked it!
This is amazing type of video please keep doing these
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh boy , you have a fantastic collection of headphones 🎧!!!
Thanks. Got my eye on others as well.

What?! What an awesome idea my friend !!! Good job Ron ! No one before you did that! Thank you
@@Patrickmathieu0482 Thanks, Patrick!! It's been a thought of mine since I got the iO-12s in.

These two are arguably my tops in both form factors. It was only fair that I would compare the two. And it was very interesting.

Which is better Denon perl pro vs Bose QuietComfort 2
IMO, the PerL Pro is better.

Do you have omni on your perl pro?
I the PerL and have heard good things about omni so may get a pair 👍
I could not see your comment. Sorry.

I have more of these videos coming. Including the Sennheiser and Skullcandy matchups. Stay tuned.
You always say you can hear the brefs, what is a bref
I said breathes. As in inhales and exhales...
@ronontech oh shi×, I feel kinda stupid, sorry man. Love your content
$549 Aud vs $1,990 aud💀
I never said they were cheap...
@ronontech oh no i was comparing the price difference
Oh default perl pros sound like dollar store buds.
I have to disagree on that. Default is not at it's best but not as bad as dollar store buds.
