It was an amazing trip and memories for a lifetime for sure Lisa. Silhouette so wants to go to NZ next if possible. She has the most Maori DNA in the family (only 3%, but that's more than mom LOL). Bless you and your Whanau Lisa always and forever!

Silhouette so loved the day where she got to learn more about "FaaSamoa".... She still is talking about it. When we came back to the states, I thought she would be excited to tell her mom about winning 2nd as the only girl, but nope! All she could talk about was helping to make a real umu and shredding the coconuts, etc. LOL So proud of her being into her mama's culture (and Hers) so deeply. She made us very proud indeed. Thank you so much for the wonderful videos brother, both parts were very informative and entertaining. May I start by saying how proud you must be for your baby girl and how far she's come in her journey of sifaafi. Wow I was shocked to watch her performance and how fast she moves with her routines and all. How awesome is she and also, she was the only princess in the competition. I was teary watching her performance. You blended with the locals well considering it was your first time in Samoa. I love how you both were always wearing lavalava around town, that's so cute. My full Samoan kids have not had the full experience of the Samoan way of life yet so I'm super proud of Shilouette. Thank you for your recordings of the places you visited and cruises around the villages. It reminded me of some areas I'm familiar with back home and my home village Fasitoouta that is not far from the airport. I've watched both videos few times now. You wouldn't believe me, but I haven't been to that place To le Sua that the kids went swimming. I wouldn't dare go too because I'm afraid of heights and I'll probably die going up and down in that tall ladder omg 🤪🤪. Congratulations again princess for nailing the competition and taking the second place. You're amazing! Malo lava brother for being a great supporter to your baby girl and her journey. I missed that funny laugh and cheeeoooo of yours it's been ages but me and the kids got to hear it again in these videos. Alofa atu to Eseta and the girl's brother. Thank you for your support always. I truly hope you will be able to take your kids to your home village someday; it will be a trip they will never forget. Thank you so much sister Milz for all your kind words. When I read the name of your village that you wrote above, I remembered seeing that name somewhere before. I saw it in a book I have that was written back in 1901. It was in a section of the book that retold old stories... this was from the story called; "Pili's Song". Here is a small part of where I saw your village name in that story:
"Fasito'outa and Fasito'otai, Pili journeyed to you. But you have only descendants of his, the first ancestress was Sina who was in the water".
There is more, but it is hard to write word for word from such a long book. If you are interested in the book, it is called: "the Samoan Islands" by Dr. Augustin Kramer (I think it was originally written in German, but was translated to English by Dr Theodore Verhaaren). Much love always sis!!!

There was another legend or an old story of something that happened in our village about a man that died in our village when he came to get his 100th taupou to marry instead the aumaga caught him and killed him so up until now there is a spot marking the incident in our village called the Pisi. I’ll see if I can find the story and forward to you but it’s very interesting. I’ll definitely look up this book you mentioned. Send love again to you Eseta and the girls brother 🙏🙏💜

Yes, Silhouette loved that part of the journey even more than getting money at the siva afi contest. She is still talking about that day being the best day of the whole vacation!!! 😁🥰😁
