Clearly you are a man of taste I appreciate you for that 🙏🏾 btw I won't tell you her actual name bc it's a spoiler but calling her Satella is basically like calling her the n-word in this world 😂
That one comment “you made this before hand” lolol Buuut, i liked the intro video to starting bleach bec it laid out everything you knew, and what you were expecting. And having that in its own standalone video feels more organic to me.
Okay noted, didn’t know which would be better but I wanted to make a good impression on Re:Zero fans and not accidentally clickbait them like I did the last time lol
@@Mespyy i think you are doing well being cognizant of your comments while also trying to find your style! I started Re zero a while ago but dropped it. However, your interest in it might help me pick it back up. So i think you have done a good job to Re Zero fans, bleach fans, and any of your audience that may be unfamiliar with both. Start reading it. It takes one million years to catch up when reading the web novel but a chapter just came out like 24 hours ago that was just absolute peak.
You went from my favorite anime of all time with bleach to my favorite isekai and one of my favorite new gen animes re:zero to start your youtube channel, and I've got to say that im loving the direction of your channel so far
@@galaxyknight9631 Ain't no way the shipping war is this bad in the community I don't know a thing about the community. I personally prefer rem but Emelia is amazing too.
@Honest_Mids_Masher It is very bad, not so bad now because back at 2016 when season 1 aired... Oh bo, you dont Even want to know the amount of Rem fans who would shit on Subaru for choosing Emilia and the amount of people who shit on Emilia just because Subaru loves her more. That went on for so many years that now a days, most people when think about Rem fans they think they are just toxic because of the many years of shiting on Re:Zero and Subaru and Emilia just because Subaru didn't choose their waifu
@Honest_Mids_Masher Also, even where im from people STILL act this way even after season 2 and 3, they just cant accept that Subaru loves Emilia and they hate on her constantly, I dont even want to interact with my own comunity because of that
@@buddy3136 But It's soo obvious that Subaru loves them both 😭 Why can't they just accept that? Also the fact that they're angry at Subaru shows they don't understand why he loves Emelia the most. She made him feel important when she decided to go out of her way to save him a completely random stranger and that is what made him love her in the first place (that and she's hot lmao). Maybe if Rem were to be the one to do it instead he'd pick her but at the end of the day he still loved her to where he purposefully ended it all twice to save her.
This anime is peak and one of, if not my favorite, shows of all time. The themes are so deep, the characters are amazing, the world building is cool, and its just so engaging. You came across something special and you won't regret watching it. Also there are 2 re zero OVAs that you can watch after episode 11 of s1
same for me. it is in my top 3 of shows of all time, not even just anime. I still have not watched a lot of stuff, but re zero will always have a place in my heart
Ep 15 of S1 is probably the greatest anime episode of all time, from the very beginning to the end, it was PERFECT. The other episodes are also very good, this entire show is peak,in general. I've started watching re:zero a few weeks ago, let me tell you one thing: I'm not a big fan of isekai, so re:zero really surprised me, I've watched a reel where rem proposes to subaru and i thought it was like an average happy isekai. And then ,after completing s1,s2:💀, i was completely shocked
If u want, after finishing the main storyline, whether in the anime or LN, you could watch or read the rezero what ifs. Do figure out which arcs they start in and what spoilers they have before you start, or just finish the LN and watch them. I, for one, am reading the LN and am actually enjoying it.
I think this is one of the most raw videos on Re:Zero I've ever watched and i think the reason for that is that you havent watched as much anime as other ppl have and tht could easily be seen in your video which was strange at first but very refreshing, it feels like you're watching the show exactly as was intended and I'm genuinely excited for your opinion on it
I LOVE all your interpretations and it's like you're already inside the mind of the author. Being able to pick up on this much will make the anime MUCH more enjoyable for you. I discovered new stuff on my 2nd AND 3rd watch. Even now I'm learning new stuff about the early episodes. People say you haven't watched Re:Zero until you've seen it twice and I see what they mean, but you might've just needed to pay closer attention. Anyways, hope you enjoy what is my favorite anime, and have fun solving its mysteries.
I can’t wait to hear more about your experience of the series. Season 2 has some of my favorite moments of the entire series. I’m sure you’ll love them and season 3 will be phenomenal next year. I would also love to hear more theories you have
Yea thats what I love about this show you get some answers but then a dozen more questions Arise, and the Author dose a great job in its how its presented.
So funny to hear someone talk about Re:Zero while being completly in the dark ...specially calling the silver-haired girl Satella ...if you continue watching, you'll understand why it's so ironic, you basically did the same as Subaru. Btw, please do keep watching, you will h8 Subaru by half of season 1 but trust me, he grows. This show has some of the best character development i've ever seen in anime.
5:45 "it sounds so mentally taxing" This should be the tagline for the entire anime ngl. Your take gets it pretty much 99%, the only thing is: Subaru doesn't choose the checkpoint afaik, he can't undo EVERY mistake, so you never know where the show is gonna throw in "irreparable damage" as a wildcard
Re:Zero is good. Log Horizon is also good and it's an Isekai also. SAO is good but in my opinion season 1 is phenomenal, season 2 is ok but season 3 is better than 2 but not better than 1. But after this that's when I dropped SAO
@@Mespyy I say watching Season 1 is a must be itself but after that it's your own decision to go forward but I wouldn't advise past 3. But I do recommend Log Horizon
Some details that aren't really spoilers but I will put a spoiler warning just in case -His ability is called "Return by Death" and does give him infinite trials -He can die without coming back when he is fulfilled with his life -How Subaru got isekai'd is still a mystery and the author said it will be a huge thing so don't mind about it for now -Re:Zero is a masterpiece
Arguably works of art like Dante's Inferno, Wizard of Oz, and Alice in Wonderland all fit in the isekai genre. People are annoyed about the tropes that crop up in modern isekais, but that doesn't mean the genre is bad.
When I watched re zero like ages ago I didn't think much of it,I was new to anime, overdosed on battle shonen animes and didn't appreciate deeper plot animes, but then, years later I saw a new season of re zero and I was like:damn, this thing is incredible, let me watch it again and when I did,It became one of my favorite animes of all times easily
You've probably already watched soooo much more, but I recommend making videos per arc. Season 1, Episodes 1 to 3 covers Arc 1 Season 1, Episodes 4 to 11 covers Arc 2 Season 1, Episodes 12 to 25 + Season 2 Episode 1 covers Arc 3 Season 2, Episodes 2 to 25 covers Arc 4 Season 3, is covering Arc 5 so far.
I need to start watching Re:ZERO because it looks so beautiful anime, I like anime where you're i the video game world just like Sword art Online and my favourite Good Night World and Re:ZERO just got a third season so now's the best time to watch it and you need to watch Good Night World too because it's so awesome! 😊❤
I highly recommend you watch the RZ Breaktime shorts. S1’s are negligible as they’re just worldbuilding. but s2 is very important for characterization, and s3 is basically essential to watch. S3’s BT takes a massive plot reveal that was meant for s1 and moves into the break time short for s3. Another essential plot detail is also in those shorts too. They’re good for theory crafting too.
If you truly want to diversify, then I would strongly recommend Fruits Basket (2019)! It's basically therapy: the anime. It's a highschool romance character drama with a hint of fantasy. It's about a recently orphaned girl named Tohru, whom by happenstance (when trying to live on her own in a tent) meets some members of the Sohma family and learns of their secret-that they are cursed and will transform to a different zodiac animal each when hugged by members of the opposite gender. They allow her to live with them, and with time, she meets each of the zodiac members and eventually decides that she will try to break their curse. The series is mostly light hearted, but it's filled to the brim with great (and quite traumatized) characters and very emotional moments!
Thank you, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard the name but didn’t know what it was about. From your description it sounds interesting though and it’s only 63 episodes
4:28 Isekai stories normally have the character arrive in the new world via reincarnation or summoning. For summoning stories, sometimes it's explained early on, and the person was summoned by a god or some magic users, and other times it's a mystery. Subaru assuming he would meet with the person who summoned him early on (that person being a cute girl who would be the heroine/love interest), but obv that was not a case and so it is a mystery to both Subaru and us.
I really recommend watching this anime alongside the reaction channel "Autosave", they are the best reactors you'll find when it comes to insightful discussions and theories. Their reactions to MT were also PEAK
Re zero is so good as Subaru’s ability lets you see the different ways the story could’ve diverged because of different mistakes or decisions and because of that it’s so entertaining, also the writing is peak with the character progression so I hope you enjoy it! + subscribed
Re Zero Isn’t Just The Best Isekai Anime It Is Of The Best Anime In General At Least for Me Given I Started Watching a Week Ago and Now I am at Season 3 Wait for Next Episode This Is Definitely Top 1 Anime for Me
re:zero is one of those shows, that are the . . . super plot ones like DEEP plots, DEEP world building. yk, like even the author be writing fanfics about his own story (if's stories)
Whenever you finish up to arc 5 cour 1 you can read everything else. So there's no need for waiting months/years for more. There's also IF stories which are just what ifs, one of them taking place in episode 2 (pride IF)
Love the video! Hopefully you love it! This anime is imo, the best anime OAT. The characters, the lore, the story, everything is just peak. Just give it time to cook. Also, it's not common that the MC doesn't know why they are in a new world. Most of the time, they die on Earth and get reincarnated, usually by a goddess or by luck, or they get teleported and given OP items or abilities when they get teleported and usually a cute girl or someone is the one who summoned the person, those are the tropey ways to get Isekai'd. Subaru is special in the case that he was randomly teleported, and there was no one, completely alone in a new world with no super cool and OP powers. His only power was to not die permanently, which isn't exactly helpful, since you kinda have to die to use it. From the author's own words, Re:Zero is a story about (in the author's own words) "someone who, when pressed on all sides, uses only his inability to give up as a weapon. So it is a story about not giving up." It's very different to many other animes, and it's really good and the story itself is quite long. (There's currently 39 light novels with the 40th coming out next year and we're not in the final arc or saga yet. Also, TONS of side stories, i'm just guessing but there's probably around 20+ish) It's quite long but season 1 and season 2 are masterpieces respectfully, and the newest 3rd season is currently airing, but it's definitely going to be a masterpiece when it's done (as a light novel reader, I can verify it'll be peak). Also, it's quite rare that Re:Zero is one of the few anime that gets better after every Arc. It's constantly getting better and better. Season 2 is better than season 1, and season 3 will be better than both easily. Just sit tight and enjoy the ride, you'll love it.
Re:Zero is such a masterpiece man , also it has over 300 side stories but white fox for some reason doesn't want to animate any of them 😭😭 it's like they hate money .
"what happends when subaru like dies of old age, does he just die or.." Good question! Along with many of your other questions/speculations, most are fully or partially answered later in the series. And you ask a lot of relavant questions. Keep watching and I Hope you enjoy the ride as much as i did!
In the re Zero Lightnovel there are actually if Storys and in one of These if storys Subaru gets Like 50 years old and gets Kids and stuff but then when he dies he just goes back to the very beging so Yeah Hope that answers your qouestion
The author releases What If spinoffs about what if Subaru went a different way. Then there's a mobile game that got cancelled. In the mobile game Subaru went on 20 years without dying and got sent back to a little over mid point S1. The implication is he could run away from an imminent disaster and live an unlimited amount of peaceful lives and keep getting sent back until he advances the plot
Hey wait.....THAT'S ME!!! I'm soo glad you decided to watch Re:Zero I've been loving this show soo much to where I legit started reading the web novel and searching for fan translations some of which aren't even done yet making me use unreliable translations through google. The web novel is the draft of the Light Novel which is what the anime is based off if so there's some details I missed. The novel goes more in depth into Subaru's thoughts and all I gotta say is he's a lot more messed up in the head which isnt shown in the anime. The anime also removes a few scenes some of which are important or just extra scenes but it doesn't take away anything from the story. I was admittedly hesitant to recommend Re:Zero because of people's perspectives of Isekai but I just liked the show that much to where I just decided to recommend it anyways. I think it mainly stems from SAO and how a lot of them devolve into harem animes. But yeah Re:Zero is something special for it's unique Return by Death aspect. The anime leaves this part out but Subaru initially did consider he did go back in time every time he died (I was surprised by this) but it just seemed way too insane for him to even consider and was trying to look for any other excuse like hallucinations and such so he wouldn't have to face that reality. The point Subaru returns to is random when the checkpoint gets set I'm just assuming it's when he's past a crisis at a certain point. The only thing Subaru retains is his memory. He doesn't get any stronger meaning he can't just train himself, die and repeat with the extra added strength. Subaru himself is a strange character to me where you can like him, feel bad for him and at times hate him. His actions feel soo human and it really makes him stand out when it comes to anime MC's. I will say the only inaccurate thing about him is his strength cause wtf this guy does 100 pushups, situps, squats and sword swings. Bro is NOT Saitama and I couldn't tell he actually did any training like that until he mentions it in the web novel. I love how you were instantly able to pick up on the downsides of the ability. The part of that person losing all of their memories about you is handled super well and the web novel addresses Subaru's fear of running out of lives which is part of the reason Subaru is absolutely scared of dying(pretty sure the anime mentions this as well but it isn't made as big of a deal) That part about never losing is also handled super well which I absolutely cannot explain because of how letting a single detail be known would be a spoiler. Now Subaru living a completely different life from the crisis apparently there's "what if" stories revolving around that idea which I have wanted to get to at some point. Satella is someone who has her own problems is all I can say Puck even comments on her telling Subaru that her name is Satella as something in bad taste. That lady all I gotta say is she's a bit too crazy for me I ain't messing with that. Cant wait to see your opinions on the next episodes and I agree with your idea on not going in expecting to hate something hope you enjoy it.
Thank you, somebody else also advised me to check out some Re:Zero content while watching because there are events that are left out of the anime. Also I’m around Episode 12 now so I know Emilias name lol, seemed to me like she blushed in Episode 1 because Subaru still wanted to associate with her even if he was under the impression she was Satella. I thought it was something far more sinister lol but I’m coming around to trusting the characters. Still can’t be overly careful because the Return by Death caused by Rem caught me way off guard lol. I’ve been really enjoying it so far, I’ve already seen some of Subarus flaws but also what makes him a great MC
@Mespyy Yeah Emilia didn't trust him at first but it's also a bit of a self loathing aspect that's as far as I can say and yeah....Rem did the thing. Subaru's reaction when he woke up after that was heartbreaking. Yup Subaru has issues and it makes him off-putting at times. The web novel actually has him starting off with having zero social skills and he struggles to talk to people properly in the first 1-2 loops. Also lmao I was blasting through those episodes as well when I was rewatching Re:Zero.
Totally PEAK Not Wrong! Also I hear the Manga Novelist from Rezero and Mahoka Tensai are friends I think. So you may notice some influence in there worlds they have constructed.

Clearly you are a man of taste I appreciate you for that 🙏🏾 btw I won't tell you her actual name bc it's a spoiler but calling her Satella is basically like calling her the n-word in this world 😂
That one comment “you made this before hand” lolol
Buuut, i liked the intro video to starting bleach bec it laid out everything you knew, and what you were expecting.
Lol except that one guy 😂
6:30 yeah episode 7 finna hit you hard then
Btw the assassin is 😫😫🔥🔥🔥
The death sound will chill you too your core and will give you ptsd every time you hear it from now on
Re zero es como un programa que si lo entiendes nunca pararas de verlo
5:10 "Live in 100 years and die and repeat" is exactly what happen in if sloth, that's story is wholesome in the first but very traumatic in the end
Start reading it. It takes one million years to catch up when reading the web novel but a chapter just came out like 24 hours ago that was just absolute peak.
Starting this show is an absolute dub, cant wait to see how your thoughts on it develop the more you watch
You went from my favorite anime of all time with bleach to my favorite isekai and one of my favorite new gen animes re:zero to start your youtube channel, and I've got to say that im loving the direction of your channel so far
You should also watch konosuba it's the most heartfelt, detailed, and story driven isekai of all time
@@bobanislife5414nah it has a ton of fan service
From ep 8 i set Re zero to my favorite anime.
bro i started watching rezero last week why does everything add up so perfectly 😭
I saw emilia, i click
fr yo im surprised the rem glazers havent arrived yet
@Honest_Mids_Masher Also, even where im from people STILL act this way even after season 2 and 3, they just cant accept that Subaru loves Emilia and they hate on her constantly, I dont even want to interact with my own comunity because of that
@@buddy3136 But It's soo obvious that Subaru loves them both 😭
Why can't they just accept that? Also the fact that they're angry at Subaru shows they don't understand why he loves Emelia the most. She made him feel important when she decided to go out of her way to save him a completely random stranger and that is what made him love her in the first place (that and she's hot lmao). Maybe if Rem were to be the one to do it instead he'd pick her but at the end of the day he still loved her to where he purposefully ended it all twice to save her.
wait till he gets into season 2 fellas, im tellin you mespy youre gonna fuckin LOVE this show
This anime is peak and one of, if not my favorite, shows of all time.
Did bro just spoil something xD
@@rasmusjakobsen6970 yeah, I probably did,lol
Excited to see you try more animes
If u want, after finishing the main storyline, whether in the anime or LN, you could watch or read the rezero what ifs. Do figure out which arcs they start in and what spoilers they have before you start, or just finish the LN and watch them. I, for one, am reading the LN and am actually enjoying it.
I think this is one of the most raw videos on Re:Zero I've ever watched and i think the reason for that is that you havent watched as much anime as other ppl have and tht could easily be seen in your video which was strange at first but very refreshing, it feels like you're watching the show exactly as was intended and I'm genuinely excited for your opinion on it
You went from my number 1 anime to my number 2 thats wild now i gotta get cought up with Re:Zero
Im so happy i can say ive been a fan since day one of this channel pretty much, bros gone from peak to more peak love it
Thank you, I’m only aware of peak because of everyone who recommended it lol so I have to thank everyone whos suggested an anime
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Finished watching peak and is now watching peak. Generational stuff
Absolute peak🗣️🔥‼️
re:zero was my first anime i watched it without expecting anything and knowing anything about anime and its still my favorite to this day
oh boy are u in for an absolute peak show, js wait shit gets real, really fast
OH MY GOODNESS REZEROO!! I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT ITS SO GOOD
Bro you finally did welcome to peak
This show has some of the best character development i've ever seen in anime.
hell yeah brother u onto peak after peak 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't wait to hear your thoughts after watching season 1!
5:45 "it sounds so mentally taxing"
This should be the tagline for the entire anime ngl.
SAO was the first isekai I heard of but also been told it fell off after the first season and that always turned me away
@@Mespyy I say watching Season 1 is a must be itself but after that it's your own decision to go forward but I wouldn't advise past 3.
But I do recommend Log Horizon
you need to watch sao allicization kainmobley trust its peak
Some details that aren't really spoilers but I will put a spoiler warning just in case
-His ability is called "Return by Death" and does give him infinite trials
-He can die without coming back when he is fulfilled with his life
-How Subaru got isekai'd is still a mystery and the author said it will be a huge thing so don't mind about it for now
-Re:Zero is a masterpiece
Arguably works of art like Dante's Inferno, Wizard of Oz, and Alice in Wonderland all fit in the isekai genre.
People are annoyed about the tropes that crop up in modern isekais, but that doesn't mean the genre is bad.
When I watched re zero like ages ago I didn't think much of it,I was new to anime, overdosed on battle shonen animes and didn't appreciate deeper plot animes, but then, years later I saw a new season of re zero and I was like:damn, this thing is incredible, let me watch it again and when I did,It became one of my favorite animes of all times easily
Best isekai i love the growth of the characters in this series
You've probably already watched soooo much more, but I recommend making videos per arc.
Season 1, Episodes 1 to 3 covers Arc 1
Season 1, Episodes 4 to 11 covers Arc 2
Season 1, Episodes 12 to 25 + Season 2 Episode 1 covers Arc 3
Season 2, Episodes 2 to 25 covers Arc 4
Season 3, is covering Arc 5 so far.
just started watching this and finished the first season in about 2 days 😅 i’m pretty sure you’ll love it, it’s def top 5 anime’s for me.
I need to start watching Re:ZERO because it looks so beautiful anime, I like anime where you're i the video game world just like Sword art Online and my favourite Good Night World and Re:ZERO just got a third season so now's the best time to watch it and you need to watch Good Night World too because it's so awesome! 😊❤
You gotta continue Vinland Saga, the next season you'll get to, changed lives
And also, Re:Zero is one of my favorites of all time and changed me
I highly recommend you watch the RZ Breaktime shorts.
8:18
did the fact that, it could be
reversing time, everything except his brain, his thoughts.
Yea rezero is traumatic but the story is good👍
Also subaru only retains his memories. Muscle memory does not retain after a death
Re Zero Isn’t Just The Best Isekai Anime It Is Of The Best Anime In General At Least for Me Given I Started Watching a Week Ago and Now I am at Season 3 Wait for Next Episode This Is Definitely Top 1 Anime for Me
re:zero is one of those shows, that are the . . . super plot ones
like DEEP plots, DEEP world building. yk, like even the author be writing fanfics about his own story (if's stories)
the kind of story you can analyze for years and still find something new about it
Whenever you finish up to arc 5 cour 1 you can read everything else.
Can’t wait to see your reaction to ep15🙌🙌🙌
Oh, wait, even better when it is out, watch. The red ranger becomes an adventurer in another world
Re:ZERO is right up there with Bleach. Both PEAK. (Btw you should watch JOJO, or ChainsawMan if you haven’t already)
Fr
I watched CSM and liked it, heard the manga is even better though. JJBA never seen and hardly spoiled, I need to watch that early 2025
greed if pfp, respect
@ThylosYessir
one word, “peak”.
subscribed, cant wait to see your continued impression on Re:Zero, especially ep 13, 15, and 18.
"what happends when subaru like dies of old age, does he just die or.."
Good question!
Other anime: "spewing spoilers"
REzero anime only, light novel reader: We don't do that here
I was kinda mildy annoyed that you only watched episode one but to see you theory craft so hard with only episode 1 was amazing and really fun.
Bro just can't stop watching peak 🔥🔥
The part of that person losing all of their memories about you is handled super well and the web novel addresses Subaru's fear of running out of lives which is part of the reason Subaru is absolutely scared of dying(pretty sure the anime mentions this as well but it isn't made as big of a deal)
That part about never losing is also handled super well which I absolutely cannot explain because of how letting a single detail be known would be a spoiler.
I think you will like it a lot, as you seem to be the type of person to analyze something, so you will have fun
For me, re:zero was the only anime who almost took my favorite anime (AOT) down to a second place.
You should watch Made in Abyss, its an amazing anime, the story, characters, soundtrack, just a few scenes can be weirds, but i think you will love it
I LOVE made in abyss. Almost done with Season 2. Season 1 was amazing, so was the movie. Old Stories is one of my favorite OSTs in anime. Absolute cinema
Twin finally on peak
Choosing this over brotherhood is crazy… but this show is peak I fear…
There is one episode there will feel like swallowing nails but i promise you its worth it. You have to taste the salt to love the sweet as they say. Beyond that i hope you enjoy it i know i love it.
Monster is an anime that ill recommend to you
It has the best villain in anime/manga history and many darker themes. It blew me away and i am still questioning what even happened in the anime even now
If u want something a bit darker than its the best choice by far
I got friend over johan.
Friend has more religious themes and is way more mysterious.
From bleach to rezero god damn these first watches must be crazy
Oh shit, bleach and now rezero? Mespy getting into the good shit
Just wait until you see episode 15 "The Outside of Madness" then you'll understand what the hype is all about. In my opinion, one of the single best episodes of anime of all time.
Still my favorite anime. Since season 1 first came out.
Sounds like you're gonna be in for a great time :3
while watching if u want to see some extra lore/cut content you can check out the rezero break time episodes (2-3 mins long each). some of them are actually really important that should've been included in the main anime. each break time ep corresponds to each ep for the anime
Damn I wish I knew this
