When I was young and still living with my parents we lived on a small place in a rural area. We had a huge garden, chickens, ducks, and had a few steer on a pasture and grew almond trees. i know what it is to use a scythe and how much work it is. I still use a scythe many, many years later today. I noticed how strong your arms look when you use it. You are a fine young man. You waste nothing, know how to take care of yourself, are resourceful and I think you are kind and thoughtful. If I was young again I would want to be your friend. I hope everything in your life works out well for you and your family.

I am very glad to watch this video! There is always a lot of work on a farm and it never ends! Even on Sunday when you want to rest the animals still need to be taken care of. You did a great job cutting the hay to store for the winter. You work well with the scythe and sharpen it often. The berries and sweet cherries are always great treats to find while working. I used to think the grass and weeds grew faster than the vegetables did. I used to weed my Parents’ garden and it seemed so big when I was young, but the vegetables were good fresh as well as canned for winter. You live in a very beautiful place, it looks so clean and fresh there. I thank you for sharing your life on the video and hope to see more soon! May God Bless you and protect you!
Puppy is growing fast
As a child, I tried to learn to mow the grass with the same scythe at my grandfather's village, but I never succeeded.

He makes using that scythe seem almost effortless. I grew up in a dairy farming community outside of Philadelphia and still had a few "old timers" that were dairy farmers. My one neighbor owned a hotel built back in the mid 1800's and had a 2 story storage building chock full of old equipment and tools. If only I knew then what I know now..........................................
A lot of neighbors had large gardens and would can and jar for the winter and stock their root cellars. All of the kids who's father ran a dairy had to pitch in and work around the farm. Just watching Ivan reminds me of the tough life they led even in the 1960's
That scenery is so beautiful and I was amazed to see NO SMOG. I live in BFE Montana and the amount of smog we have up here dismays me. Even as a kid in PA, our smog wasn't too bad, but now????????
