  • My 2019 Honda Super Cub and the 2021 CT125 have been waiting patiently in my garage for me to show them some attention. Meanwhile, the dust and grime is piling on, and the batteries are slowly dying. So, it's time to freshen things up a bit.

    I need to do the same to my Cub after the 200+ mile ride yesterday! I've got so many bugs on it, they're killin' my top speed! 😉
    Good to see ya with the MiniMotos! Keep on truckin'!

    Hiya Aaron i usually wash my Supercub down once a week as we get alot of wet days and the road grime.
    It dont take long just a couple of buckets of soapy water not got a hose here in Bletchley.
    Need to run those babies a bit more to keep them charged up even if you use it once a week to your workshop.

    Over at where i live now we dont need to wash our vehicles.
    The weather does it for us 🤣. I could leave a drizzle of detergent on my bike seat right now and 8 hours of rain later the bike is squeaky spankin' clean🤣🤣

    I'm watching Again that Video of Crooked Oak area. What happened about that meet-up you were thinking about. That was 2 years ago.

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately, that meet-up never materialized. I had several problems with my Ryker shortly after that, so my enthusiasm was somehwat damped on the 3-wheel scene. 😒 --QM

      @@QuasiMotardIt's too bad you had so many issues with your Ryker. It seems to be luck of the draw with them. Mine has been flawless. You should try the Spyder they're perfect for long road trips. I love the Super Cub and the Trail 125. Why do you prefer the Super Cub? Is it the gearing or is it comfort?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  3 месяца назад +1

      The Super Cub is better aligned to city life because of the wind protection (leg shield) and the longer gearing. The CT125 would be "better" for my needs if I lived in a rural setting with more gravel roads and less frantic traffic. 😉👍 --QM

    Quasi of all your vids I've watched I've never seen you on a dual sport (other than the ct125). Was wondering what you'd pick. I was looking at the klx230s/klx230 or the yamaha xt250. I was also looking at the yamaha xmax 300 getting another scoot.
    I currently own an adv150 and ct125
    What would you pick and why?

  • @navimaclife
    @navimaclife 3 месяца назад +1

    Old Quasi wives tale was that you used Dos Equis to wash the bikes. This video puts that to rest.

  • @gregorylute
    @gregorylute 2 месяца назад

    Also i saw your comment about getting an adv160, as an adv150 owner I'd upgrade if there's a significant performance bump. Do you know how much difference there really is seat of the pants?

    i give up on getting more speed. guessing over all 15/39 gives me about 2mph. so when i change my rear tire again i will go to 15/41 that way at least i can drop the front and get more power. but i dont see getting anymore speed unless i lose 100 pounds. and go to a 15/36. when i tried the 15/ 36 i lost all the way around but then i put a 90 pound boy on it with all his gear. 75 with out his gear. just guessing. using GPS he did hit 71 mph. but it took him a long time to get there and no wind flat ground. he said speedo hit 64 mph.

    What is the red tank on the super cub?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 месяца назад +1

      That red tank in the center is a jerry can. It's one of only two "Neil tanks" in existence! I have one on my Cub, and a friend of mine, Adrian, has the other one. Our buddy, Neil, custom fabricated those tanks and mounting cradles for us before we left on our 10K-mile cross-country trip for the 2021 Scooter Cannonball Run.
      They hold about 1.3 gallons of fuel, but they aren't plumbed into the main fuel supply. We used them as emergency fuel supplies and as transfer tanks during our extended road trip. You can see it in action here: ruclips.net/video/NYjmV7FqLOM/видео.html . Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    Is the Cub your SCBR 2021 ride?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  3 месяца назад +1

      (EDIT: I misread your comment thinking you were asking about 2025). Yes, this was my 2021 SCBR steed.
      (Original reply): I'm thinking about it... hard. If my finances improve, then I might consider getting a new ADV160. Otherwise, it'll be one of my existing steeds... the Super Cub, CT125, or the PCX150.
      I have some plans brewing with a channel subscriber from another country who is tentatively trying to join us for the 2025 Cannonball. He's figuring out the logistics for shipping his 125cc scooter to my house, then riding the entire route from TX to OR and back. If that pans out, then I'll choose one of my bikes that has similar speed/range as his scoot. 😉👍 --QM
