Seamus McGinley's funeral video

On March the 6th 2022 we laid to rest our good friend and community leader Seamus Mc Ginley, Carrick. Co. Donegal. Seamus' s friends and interests spread far and wide but were deeply rooted in his home parish of Glencolmcille and let me not forget Galway which held a very special place in heart. I was lucky to be involved with Seamus in different ways, more recently he joined us as an adviser to Glencolmcille Folk Village, we were looking forward to this new journey with him however it wasn't meant to be but we are eternally grateful for the valuable time he did spend with us over the past two years. I dedicate this video to his memory. I have included a small clip before the funeral mass sharing some happy times I spent in his company, The singer on the clip is the very talented Jimmy Crowley of Cork, Seamus had a fondness for this song , all be it maybe a more localised version, he loved the craic ,the characters and the homeliness in his home village of Carrick. Rest in peace Seamus, I hope you are in the arms of your loved ones today XX
