One more to my bucket list, incredible views, it looks like an amazing place to ride. BTW you pronounced "Pico de las Nieves" perfectly... Well done and thanks for sharing.
Like your videos a lot - they capture both the beauty of the landscape and the effort you've got to put in equally well. The Canaries have quite a lot to offer when it comes to road cycling, but you need to be in good condition, as you obviously are! I haven't done the Pico de las Nieves yet, and found La Palma's Roque de los Muchachos super hard...
I bet you could if you took it slow and broke it up into segments. It's a lot easier when you ride with the guides and the other guests and you all do it together
/poke more videos of your latest rides please! By the way, checked out those mad bastards doing the Indian Pacific Wheel Race? Across Australia, bloody insanity -- indianpacificwheelrace.maprogress.com/?embed=yes#
Sorry to burst your bubble Julia.. But that wasn't the Valley of the tears. The road you were looking at 5.35 is the Valley of the tears. And it almost made me cry. You cycled by it as you went under the rock tunnel. I was surprised when you said Free motion were taking tours up it. It truly is horrendous. Next time I'm going to try the route you did. It looks cracking. Great video.. thanks for Sharing
Totally agree they missed the turn for the valley of the tears dont be lulled into a false sense of security if you watching the real valley of the tears climb is brutal . Be prepared!!
Hi Juliet. Im going to G.C in August and was thinking of highering a bike for a few days. Whats your opinion on riding in extremely high temps? Average 35-40C. Dangerous or ok if you drink plenty? Huge fan by the way! Your videos are great!
Thomas Clarke Hi Thomas. Cycling is much more popular from October to April as its crazy hot in summer. I have ridden in GC in temperatures of 38 degrees and it made me feel so bad that I had to give up on a ride but everyone else I was riding with managed fine. So it depends on the person. I'd suggest hiring a bike a day at a time and seeing how you get on
Hi ,me and my wife go to Gran Canaria next month could you please tell me are the rides really hard and do you really need to be at a sports level Thank you Michael

The roads also look empty which is great!

The last few days haven't been so bad - I'm hoping the worst of the UK weather is behind us but that might be wishful thinking
I wish I could like this twice.
Looks stunning! I don't think my legs could do those big climbs though.
I bet you could if you took it slow and broke it up into segments. It's a lot easier when you ride with the guides and the other guests and you all do it together

'One of the best climbs', thats an oxymoron haha. Props to both of you for filming and climbing though, worth it for the view.
WOW I love GC, where did you stay, Las Palmas & what were the apartment costs, if you don't mind saying?
palmer3977 we stayed at Appartmentos Dunasol, it's about 70 euro per night. It's is Playa del Ingles which is where the guided rides start from
