There also something very satisfying about completing stories and getting feedback on them as a beginner (or you know just some encouraging praise) which you can't get on your bigger projects.

This is awesome guidance. Thank you! It's funny now when I look back. I learned more during a 24hr comic challenge than I normally would in something bigger with more time. It was a great lesson in self imposed brevity and ruthless self editing. I had to sincerely close the loop in the story I was making. Way more difficult than I had thought.

I'm finally taking cartooning serious so I can work on stories I've written (that I think will be good in my own head) I've been hesitant for many years because I want it PERFECT but this is a stupid way of thinking as I have zero experience in making a comic book until I did small stories for school projects. I SUCK but I do see a difference on how I told the story. Now as I progress in art, im making short throw away stories so I won't be bummed if it doesnt come out good...and it wont. Not saying I wont try my best but you will fail and advance at the same time so like you said it's best not to go all out on your most "prized" idea.

Great advice!! I´ve heard a lot of people saying that a career in comics are not worth it, that is so much work and that is not well paid, so, what are the other reasons to do it anyways rather than just let your voice be heard any time you want to?

Not worth it isn't how I would put it.
Out of all the many people who would like to make comics professionally, the fraction that will actually be able to make a living steadily at it is very very small. That's the problem. It's a small industry that does not pay very well for the majority of creators.
I would tell anyone looking to make it a career, to think in terms of being a professional artist, who might make comics at times but expect to apply those skills to a range of media.
I'm currently paying the bills doing prop design for animation, I work as a freelance illustrator at times when I can, I've painted murals, designed logos, and done dozens of other jobs that utilize the same skills.
That's a lot of hustling still, but ALL of those I just mentioned are a lot easier jobs to make an income from, to by virtue of there being more job opportunities.
And self publishing is not really a solution as some will say, as it's rare to actually make a profit there via sales.
It's worth it to be a professional artist, and when you can being one making money from comics is great. But don't bank on making it that way. That's all.

If it were condensed to 300 pages, it might actually be a pretty good book.

How do you figure out what story to make if you are beginner to drawing and can't think of anything?
