    The Upper Mantle consists of Pyrolite (3 parts of ultramafic rocks+1 part of Basalt) and the Lower Mantle consists of "Periodtite" and minerals of higher densities.

      P waves - Primary waves - much intense and are parallel to the direction of propagation

    maam plzz teach us age of the earth .

    • @WorthyMissJ
      @WorthyMissJ 6 лет назад

      There actually is no way to know the age of the earth due to several factors.
      A. Plate tectonics. The constant subduction and upheaval of the crust only allows for a relatively finite number of years to be calculated.
      B. Since we cannot actually reach the material in the planetary nucleus of the planet, geology and volcanology at that level become conjecture and theory. As you may have noticed in the lecture, there are many "theories" regarding the thickness, viscosity, composition, and temperature of the various layers of the earth. These would all have bearing on any calculations made.
      C. We simply do not know enough to even guess.
