When a was a teenager I used to watch this movie every week, dreaming about Italy. Now, I’m 29, I live in Tuscany, I have a great job here. Last week I was traveling to Rome and remembered that movie! Our dreams come true, when we have a great genuine desire
I was eleven when this came out. I begged my dad to take me and eventually he caved. May 3, 2003 It also became one of our favorite movies to see together over the years. Even from far away he would call and be like "are you watching? It's on Starz!!" XD lol R.I.P. Daddy I miss you :,)
Yeah I hadn't paid attention to that in my commenting. I was trying to say he made me laugh by calling me to tell me the movie was on....I can see how that seems weird. :/ I'll get better at this internet thing eventually. *shrugs*
I can’t believe this came out 20 years ago . I went to see it with 2 friends and my mum for my 7th birthday . It’s still one of my favourite movies to date
This is an amazing movie, my childhood. My best friend and I went to Rome and before we left we watched this, make references while we were there and like recited the entire movie on the plane ride there. Best experience EVER!
I just recently came back from Rome, and my first thought when I got home was that I need to go watch the Lizzie McGuire Movie so I can look at it and be like, "hey, I was there". I'm so pumped for this.
When I went to Rome I kept feeling like I was in this movie but I never was mistaken for a pop star....pity. Oh well if that happened I wouldn't have gotten to go to Vienna, Prague or Paris so it's all good.
i actually remember watching this in the cinema and being desperate for the dvd so i could sing and dance to it! ahhh memories! now its uni, careers and all that adult stuff! :(
So this is what Disney was like back then???? From Shows and movies that is inspired by the show, to Shows with the cast having adventures or misadventures like Jessie, Liv and Maddie, Austin and Ally and More. I’m not trying to hate, I’m just thinking, this is how it was before it became what’s it like today.
I still don't understand why they never released the entire series on DVD. This one show defined a generation; from kids who had it all and wanted friendship, to the less popular kids just trying to make it, and others who had fun with anything handed to them. Regardless of sales, they need to release the series. Future generations need to know the greatness that was Lizzie McGuire.
I'm a dude and I freaking love this movie! And Lizzie McGuire in general. Too bad Disney refuses to give the series a proper DVD release and the movie a nice Blu-Ray upgrade.
Man I remember when this movie came out! My mom wouldn't take me to see it and then bought me the VHS tape over the DVD. My my how time flies and I'm only 18...
Looking back I remember this movie was magical! Now watching as an adult....this is just a G-Rated and Sugar-Coated version of Taken. Like what was she thinking running off with a random guy in another country...this could have went so disastrous in real life lol
It’s actually the same plot as Frozen but with a Lizzie McGuire coating. It helps that both are my day program member Tanya’s favorite movies and this one was even released on her birthday
Lizzie McGuire was my OBSESSION when i was little! I saw this movie in theaters legit 3 times and bought the VHS and DVD the second they came out lol. i was on vacation with my family and because i was such a little spoiled brat i made my mom buy them for me so we could watch it in the hotel xD
Back when i was still in school and we had our first class trip to europe this movie was our inspiration for our adventure trip. 20 years later it still is. ❤
I feel like flash back past few years back and bring them back to the bank near me feel like I was calling the same place looks like a new DVD releases review history books documentary about biography book club fun more information about money made into store story about how much money does it take to make sure most amazing maze
Yes it was released in movie theaters in May 2, 2003. First Disney Channel show made into a feature film instead of a DCOM. Hannah Montana The Movie soon followed thereafter released in movie theaters. The Lizzie McGuire Movie had a 13 million dollars budget and gross over 55 million dollars in the worldwide box office in 2003.
@@avarice.karmageddon I literally don't remember commenting or seeing this video ever in my life. This feels like a precursor to my genetic predesposition toward alzheimers
Excellent Movie! BEAUTIFUL! 10/10! Love it! Nostalgia is slapping me so hard right now, it hurts. I loved this movie, my dad would get annoyed by it watching it everyday and listening to the songs. I love this movie ❤️ Forever will love this movie.
I LOVE HILARY DUFF!!! I'VE WATCHED 13 OF HER MOVIES, I'VE WATCHED NEARLY ALL THE EPISODES OF LIZZY MCGUIRE (INCLUDING THE MOVIE) AND LOVE LITEREALY ALL HER SONGS!! I CRIED AT THE END OF THE MOVIE 'A CINDERELLA STORY' AND I LOVE THE SONG THAT SHE MADE CALLED 'ANYWHERE BUT HERE'!! HILLARY DUFF IS A TRULY AMAZING ACTRESS AND SINGER!! I LOVE YOU
this is the movie that i miss so much when i am grade 3 my brother, cousin and i watching it everyday when it is ending we sing and dance together so now i am grade 6 we keep on watching every saying, moves and song we memorize it..
Im going to Rome in like 3 days and all my friends and I are the same age as Hilary when she shot this movie in Rome. I still cant get over the fact that she is 15 in tis movie
I was 11/12 when this came out. I was huge into Hilary and I saw the massive movie poster in a a shop and in magazines.. It was so exciting for me back then! How old is her character meant to be in this movie? Because at the end of the Lizzie McGuire show she is about 14 right? How can she be graduating high school and how on earth did she get a trip to Rome for graduating? Is it an American thing?

this comment made my day thanks❤

Did you literally used "lol" and then R.I.P., that's quite contraditory

Lisa Cannon Looks better now...
Artur Araújo better?
MrGabeanator Yeah, kind of.

Hey? Do u still use this account haha?
I just recently came back from Rome, and my first thought when I got home was that I need to go watch the Lizzie McGuire Movie so I can look at it and be like, "hey, I was there". I'm so pumped for this.
I watched this movie when I was 8 years old and 20 years later I moved to Rome Italy and I see all the place I have seen in the movie 😊
What kind of middle school goes on a trip to Rome?!?
I thought it was high school. I saw this when i was 9
It's year 12! Graduation class!
If u look on Wikipedia, she graduated junior high(middle school) at 14 in this movie. Hilary duff although was 16 in the movie.
I'm 13 and going to New York with my school😂
my school went to new york for eighth grade but my parents didn't let me go😂
When I went to Rome I kept feeling like I was in this movie but I never was mistaken for a pop star....pity. Oh well if that happened I wouldn't have gotten to go to Vienna, Prague or Paris so it's all good.

I miss those days too😣, wait are you still there? Can you see this message?
Uni Careers and adult stuff gosh i feel so old
What about now lol
I just watched this movie and it brought me so many good memories. Disney channel seriously needs to bring the show back on air. Who agrees?
So this is what Disney was like back then???? This was TOO iconic we were NOT ready
Oh, the nostalgia...
this was 7 years ago- this comment hello
This brings back so many memories. I used to watch this movie all the time.
I still don't understand why they never released the entire series on DVD. Anyone else tear up with emotion when she sings on stage? Just me, ok... ☺️
Wow I thought I was the only one ☺️ I love this movie so much! Watching it now on Disney plus.
I do because it costs to show how far she's gone from Being shy and Quirky to this woman who's gained confidence in herself
You're not alone
I can't handle this movie being a decade old!!!
Funny to see this comment when now the movie is almost 2 decades old
Officially 20 years old now
I'm a dude and I freaking love this movie! And Lizzie McGuire in general. Too bad Disney refuses to give the series a proper DVD release and the movie a nice Blu-Ray upgrade.
When I was younger I never knew Isabella was actually Hilary Duff😂😂
My favorite part is when she falls down
The Lizzie McGuire Movie is one of the best movies ever. I loved it way back than I still love it now.
omg i miss these movies, i remember watching this one over and over when i was a kid
i even performed the song on my school talent show
Lets just all take a moment to remember that in the movie, she just graduated 8th grade and the guy looks like he's about 20...ok...
Allie Grace he could be 17, lol.
He's actually 3 years younger than her, he was only 13 when the movie came out while Hillary Duff was 16...
@@fionamonning7697 actually, the actor for paolo (yani gellman) was 2 years older than hilary duff at the time, so he was abt 18 while she was 16
@@lilyhealy3802 oh you’re right i think I got his name mixed up with a different actor... 2 years is still not a big age difference tho
I believe he’s supposed to be 17 in the movie

This movie is Taken for family movies. I will give it a chance like the show.
True but he’s a pop star with a body guard. If he’s followed a lot it’s less likely he will cause trouble
It’s actually the same plot as Frozen but with a Lizzie McGuire coating. It helps that both are my day program member Tanya’s favorite movies and this one was even released on her birthday
For 17 years ago I seen that movie when I'm a freshman in high school into theatres, when I was like in 9th grade
Seeing this really brings me back to my childhood, God I miss the 2000s so much... 😭😭😭
The Lizzie McGuire Movie is the "Before Sunrise" of kid films.
Best movie in my childhood days! :)
The way that the school/trip would not worry that a 13 year old girl would just vanish in a foreign country.
Shes falling alot
because she's a cluts
It was directed by Jim Fall.
I have been exposed
Sinesipho Vuba I have dyspraxia and even I don’t fall a lot.
It’s her character. 😂
