    i’ve never been, but HKDL always gets unfair hate. it actually looks cool and immersive. i was also lucky enough to receive merch from a friend who went and everything was outstanding. i believe in 2-3 years HKDL will be a worthy competitor to Shanghai.

    Hey, just wanted to say that I just found your channel after looking for videos to watch with my son. We visited HK Disney last yr (his first Disney park) and he asks when we are going back multiple times a week. Mystic Manor was both of our favourite ride. Anyways, great content I will be keeping a look out for uploads!!

      @ReviewTyme  6 лет назад +1

      Hey there! Glad you found something you can both watch together. We also agree that Mystic is our favourite ride in the park. Hopefully, you guys can get back there soon, especially after all this new construction work is done! - Luke

      @ReviewTyme  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Ruben! There's no official date announced currently but the everything coming out seems to point to a 2020 reopening of the castle, which follows the new Ant-Man attraction in 2019 and precedes the Frozen area in 2021. The next few years at Hong Kong Disneyland should be exciting times! - Luke

    I took my wife to Hong Kong, and Disney, in 2014. It was her first international travel, and her first amusement park. How long has the castle been boxed up? It was when we went. I loved the runaway mine train, but it was too intense for my wife, as her first coaster (it has some unexpected feature for a mine train). The crowds were crazy small. Zero wait for almost every ride! She did love the food, and said we could move to Hong Kong ha ha

    • @ReviewTyme
      @ReviewTyme  5 лет назад +1

      The Box castle was up in 2014/15 then came down back to the original castle design, but now the Castle is currently seeing a multi-year renovation that when complete will give the park a brand new original castle!
      It truly is a great park and I'm glad your wife enjoyed it for her first International Trip! - Luke

    Great productions don't get to stay, however poor productions get to turn into permanent attractions...

    Excellent video. So glad I found your channel. Instant subscribe. Quick question: me and my wife are both hardcore Disney fans. We wanted to ask, how many days do you recommend for hardcore Disney fans?

    • @ReviewTyme
      @ReviewTyme  5 лет назад

      We are hardcore Disney fans like you guys and even in the quiet season to do everything properly we would suggest two days at the park. Gives you a chance to ride everything on the first day and then do some re-rides and shows on the second. It's a great park and is looking to get even better in the future! - Luke

    • @ReviewTyme

      Each of the Major rooms has the ride sung in a different language which includes English, Spanish and more! - Luke

      @gavroche24 5 лет назад +1

      i think major languages across the globe are represented in each area of region-classified rooms. i am from the philippines and tagalog version was sung. i was there with my son last summer and its a small world was the last ride that we took, a fitting end to our disney visit , if i may say so. you might want to do the same as you will remember how nice everything was.

      It may be sad but we have to accept it. I too became sad when they decide to transform the castle into something new and retire Disney in the Stars. :( Heartwrenching because it does change your childhood.
      I think they would transform the castle to compete with other castles in Tokyo, Shanghai and Paris. HKDL's Sleeping Beauty Castle is the smallest tower among them.

    Do you think the temporary attractions would ever make it to wdw or would that be wrong for its demographic?

    • @ReviewTyme
      @ReviewTyme  6 лет назад +1

      The temporary attractions at Hong Kong really are to try to draw in the local crowds by offering them something new every season. The demographics of WDW being mainly tourists means that these temporary attractions aren't really needed to the level they are in Hong Kong, which is a shame because they are awesome experiences! -Luke

    HK Disney and Tokyo Disney are the best-performing Disney theme parks outside the US when it comes to the number of visitors yearly.

    • @ReviewTyme
      @ReviewTyme  5 лет назад +3

      It's actually looking like for the 2018 yearly attendance that Shanghai has overtaken Hong Kong and Paris to become the second most visited Disney Resort outside of the US, which is crazy how quickly that park has become popular and profitable! - Luke

    Why aren't "dark rides" called indoor rides?

    • @ReviewTyme
      @ReviewTyme  5 лет назад +1

      The term "Dark Ride" comes from the fact that the attractions used to use Blacklights to illuminate special fluorescent paint and do to this lighting requirement the rooms had to be kept dark or the effects didn't work! My guess as to why we don't simplify them today to "Indoor Rides" would be because we can also have things like Indoor Rollercoasters and Indoor Flat-rides. - Luke

      Generally, Hong Kong DL had their very special festive experience and you would found them are incredible in any time visiting. like for the Christmas, there will be special Christmas Tree featured with light shows at the evening. There are also stage shows related to winter and Christmas started from 2018. And as you know, in there is no way to see snow in Hong Kong due to climate, but you could see and feel the HKDL in snow when you are visiting !
      Overall, it would be amazing to visit HKDL at Christmas and all other festival!
