- In our first episode of 2021 ASA Shot of the Week, brought to you by Mathews, veteran Open Pro archer Dan McCarthy shares some of the strategy that is critical to be successful in unknown 3D. As P.J. prepares to judge and shoot a 49.7-yard deer, Dan talks about the importance of taking enough risk to offer a chance at hitting a 12, but minimizing that risk to try to at least come away with a 10. “You can’t win the tournament on Day One, but you sure can lose it,” Dan says.

Great video PJ , Dan definitely shoots with strategy in mind. He has to when he's shootin against Levi . Great to see these little short clips to possibly help others with their shooting.👍👍
I have a suggestion for the next Shot of the Week Segment. Take Dan to one of the K50 ranges that Open Pro doesnt shoot. Put him on a stack he hasn't shot. Having him go through it just like he would in normal play, and have him talk us through it as he's doing it. Then follow up with lessons learn and after thoughts.
