Fred: You better get your Mother and Father we all going to need a drink,Marilyn: Will you come to bed my Lord Fred: Don't you do that, Fred: I thought you folks were going to be gone for the weekend I come for the T.V.
Nope , because white people have been in Sanford's house several times . They even have a Jewish neighbor called " Goldstein " . Poor Black people doesn't have the power to keep other people out of their neighborhoods , hence gentrification . If other people stays out of their neighborhoods it's by choice and not because they were prevented to live and work in the neighborhoods ( Gentrification and non Black owned businesses are the proof ).
I know that I've said this several times, but some of these episodes, if I had been on the set, there is no way that I could have kept a straight face.
Jack Manning plays Mr. O'Neill(sp?). He made several appearances on S & S and returned a couple of years later on "Sanford". I wonder if he & Foxx got to be friends in real life? I heard Redd would bring back people for guest appearances if he liked them.
The whole scenario is silly. Some stranger comes walking into your bedroom, who is not going to freak out? And Fred waving his arms like a fool like he has a reason to be angry. The couple's daughter's comment, "Mr. Sandford is offended" was stupid. He is trespassing. He has no business being in their home and certainly has no business coming into their bedroom. He should feel grateful the husband did not have a gun in the nightstand. In what reality does Fred have the right to be offended when he is completely in the wrong? How are the parents in the wrong here?
@@LBF522 Not really. I feel that this was an honest mistake. However, over the years. I have heard people say that Sanford & Son was more degrading to blacks than Amos & Andy ever was. This episode sort of proves it.
"Don't do 'dat!". - Redd Foxx delivered the comedy so well.

Well, Marilyn did say that it was okay to go in there. Remember that she thought that her parents were away.
