Seeing you running next to one of the lead bikes as I was descending back into Tenby genuinely made me a bit emotional. Your journey is inspiring to many and I can’t wait to see what is in store for you in the future 🤟
Just started watching your channel as I am wanting to get into triathlon myself, what a great effort to see all your training come together on the day, I’m finding your story very inspirational…very well done on your 5th place
Hey Andy. 'Raced' on Sunday too - my first ever IM so trial by fire. Like you say, the sea chop was a bit odd on the way out to the first bouy - hard to get into a rhythm. Yet I managed to surpass my target time. I think the current was with us on the longest leg. Saw you I think on your final lap as I was coming into Town on my bike in the rain. Great inspiration mate - well done to overcome the nutrition issues and still come in 5th!
I work in Cardiff now, seemed everyone on site was going to watch on Sunday.. I was frumpy and jealous not to be able to! Cracking race Andrew, was checking the tracker constantly, Skipper undoubtedly one of the best IM athletes at present but you proved your credentials by holding him off as long as you did. '23 is gonna be an awesome season
Had similar issue at IM Copenhagen - lost my salt tablets on the bike, quickly hashed plan B was Gatorade - way more sodium than I had trained with...bloat and water retention on the run. Congrats on the result!
Hey Andy, I stumbled on your channel on the lead up to Wales as I was also racing. You seem like a top bloke with a good attitude and glad to see you got a result you’re pleased with. Excited to see how your career unfolds from here. All the best
Amazing insight into all of the detail that makes a difference…. Your on a great trajectory so keep working those smaller points. Not your biggest challenge of course… that’s getting me to 750m non stop!!
Andy, could you answer a few Wales questions!!! Just signed up for 2023.... Sea temperature? How long is the hill on the run (time/distance/elevation) just trying to replicate it in training. Finally ' I have the same bike FELT IA' anything else you would change on the bike?

Awesome mate.. was gunning for you the whole time being from Swansea too. My mate was shouting “can of Bow” on the first run up the hill 💪
🤣🤣🤣 if only he offered it to me at the finish line!
Loved spectating you, you absolutely killed it
Cheers Rhys! Means a lot

Great effort for getting it done Mark. As you say hard swim, and you guys had it tough with the rain on the bike! Great job!

Well done Andy and good luck in the USA. I know Dyl is proud of you too!
Thanks mate, still didn’t hit his KOM on one of the descents 🤣
legend. Full sending it ... loving the way you're racing mate
Haha thanks mate, best way for us ex swimmers to race. Take the race to the runners
Great race, you made it exciting to follow even just with the tracker to watch. 16mins on Skipper just isnt enough off the bike anymore 😅
He was flying, debatably one of the best IM marathons ever that!

Thanks James! It was great to see them cheering for me in Narbeth!
Nice video
Thanks Jan
Just remember, Ali Brownlee screwed up the run on several ironman outings, so don't feel bad that you didn't have the best!
Thanks Dean!
