    Oil industry is finished. BP has stated that they are moving into other industries now. In 5 to 7 years most of the cars will be electric as well.

    What an un-researched article. The investment in renewables alone is showing Scotland is going to be a world leader. OGA is not an issue anymore.

      Scotland may be able to export wind power. But so will England, Wales and Ireland. The largest wind farms in the world are in English waters.
      As far as other renewables are concerned, nobody has economically harnessed wave or tidal power yet, and Scotland is one of the worst places in the world to build solar farms.
      The idea that it will be a 'world leader in renewables' is straight out of SNP fantasy land.
