    I made this mix this past weekend and love it. I’ve been using my homemade butter mix for about 2 years and it’s amazing for my skin. It’s moisturizing and leaves my skin soft and smooth. I’m hoping that long term it will help with dark spots too!! This is a great video.

    Potato peeler for cocoa butter. Genious! And we don't have to put them all on the stove. Just hot water.

    I went out today and bought ingredients and made this! I had to substitute some things because I live in Montenegro and had to work with what I had. But it came out really great. It's so soft and fluffy. Thank you!

    Would Jojoba oil be a good substitute for the argan oil? I don't have that one on hand.

      Yes it will. You can substitute any of the oils depending on the texture and thickness you want for the final results

      You. An let it harden a little bit. The more hardened it is the fluffier the butter you get at the end but whisking just becomes more difficult so it’s up to you really

    Can I leave out the argan oil and the caster out? I just have spent a lot of money this year and I don't have these so I don't want to spend a lot more money. I'll buy the vitamin E oil but not the others. And how long did you leave it in the fridge and how long did you have to whip it for? Can you respond back to me as soon as you see this post? I'm making it for a friend

      You can use whatever ingredients you have. Doesn’t have to be the same as the video. Just leave it in the fridge until it begins to harden and solidify. There’s no recommended time for whipping as it’s determined by the specific ingredients you’re using. So just whip until you achieve your desired texture.

      I use it for both hair and skin and so do many people. It's the only thing I use on my skin but not on my face. I would say try it and see what results you get. Also will what darken? Your skin or the shea butter? Thank you for watching 😘

      Thank you. Sorry I did not time it. I usually just whisk it till I like how fluffy it is so could be anything from 30mins to an hour max. How long it takes will also be affected by the type of oils and butters you use as well as quantities 😊

      You can use grape seed oil or use arrowroot powder to cut the greasiness

      I do sometimes but not for long cos you don’t want it to freeze over but it’s definitely quicker than putting it in the fridge

    Would it make body butter if you just melted and let it cool and whip it without adding extra oils to it?

      Yes it would. The extra oils are optional as they offer extra softness to the butter to make it lighter. I'd say you would definitely need to add other oils if using only cocoa butter as it's very hard but sheabutter on its own should be fine. So basically depends on the hardness of the butter you're using

      I think it has but it will be in small amounts so always use a proper formulated spf that way you know you’re definitely protected

      If you do it this way would say add half the oils in it during the melt down process and the other half when you start whipping

      Yeah you can replace it with other butters like mango butter but I mainly use this for my skin as I find it does not mix well with most of the hair products I've tried

      I made a similar one for my first pregnancy and it did help until I got minor stretch marks on my love handles around 37weeks. The thing with stretch mark is you will get it if it’s in your genes. Some creams may minimise their appearance or do nothing at all. So it’s just one of those things you can’t guarantee

      It was fine for me but if you want your butter to be less greasy just use more light absorbent oils and leave out oils like castor oil etc

      It’s too heavy for some but ok for most people. I guess you just have to try it but be aware it could break you out

      Also forgot to say it depends on the oils used. Lighter oils used with the butters are less likely to clog your pores so keep that in mind

      Curl Sisters it solidifies slightly but retains most of the fluffiness. If you want it to stay fluffy through and through then you would have to apply water and a good preservative. Thanks for watching and merry Christmas x
