And what an amazing voice! They must be proud of this album! I've sent the link to all my mates in Scotland! It's made me all nostalgic... I wish I was 17 again, living it up with my pals in Glasgow, whole life ahead of us...
I remember these guys playing in a back garden in Logan Street, Blantyre, one warm sunny night. It was 1984 and I later bought their EP. Funny/sad how classic 80's bands we so identify with in the West of Scotland we hardly hear of any more. It was a golden era really.
thanks guys for all the memorys , this band made a Bellshill boy very happy, I remember going to see them at Glasgow uni with some girl, can't remember her, but the band will live lone in the memory
I forgot about this song till I saw it as a sound track of a video in the Blantyre project i was home sick for a week or more wanting to go home to people who weren't here anymore so home sick it hurt shock to the system hearing this out the blue like that beautiful memories beautiful song I actually was mad about this song when it came out ❤️
This is great stuff ! I'd forgotten all about this band but stumbling across this has brought it all back to me . I had their album and loved it to death , my sister used to come into my room and nick it all the time and eventually just sort of inherited it ! Moved on to other bands etc but this was brilliant stuff and brings back many happy memories . Big thank you to all concerned in posting this .
I bought the album about 10 years ago, second hand, only because I had a vague memory of some song my big brother usedto play in the 80's. I was blown away then, but haven't heard it for years because I live in Australia and the album is in my mum and dad's loft in Glasgow! I have goose bumps listening to these songs, and cause I'm reading other peoples comments - funny how these songs connected with all these strangers, from a band that never made it big. I'm so happy, thanks for posting!
Gracias, superb Sharon at her finest - keep them coming please, all FOP songs greatly appreciated. Love Bring It down has anybody got it? These songs will live forever.
gave this on cd to Steve McKenna a whilst back now at Real Radio, always loved this band amd hoped he'd bring it back but to no avail, what a shame so much talent ! legal eagles eh rrrrrrrrrrrrr
Is Park Lane the one that used to be next to the cinema? I remember going there in my youth. Hamilton was great for going out and although people who live there still, probably dont think so, move abroad and see how spoilt you are!!
I have been searching for Fruits of Passion on the internet for ages!!! Both my wife and I love their music, is there any way of getting a copy of your tunes?? Boy these take us back........
Those were indeed the days Jack. No, Sharon doesn't sing much these days, and we don't go to Park Lane or 3d's. Fuckin shame, wish we were 17 again eh? Good seeing you again last week mate!!
Yes, although both Park Lane and the Cinema are gone along with 3D's and the Rococco Club. You're right, Hamilton was a great night out. Now it's the Palace or nothing. I'm too fucking old anyway.
For some obscure reason this came into my head today . Was in the charts when I just started going out with my wife
