they can’t spend money on making different stories &animation for each choice. if they ever continue on javiers story, they will kill kate,gabe and david or make their characters stay in the background. or on clementines story, there's several endings with tenn, violet and louis. telltale always does the same thing, make you choose between two characters, but they always end up dying. @@patsh20 Yea well the choices ultimately don't matter because no one lives for long enough to create one big game and expand it on every single choice so for every choice you have a different outcome, so much so it's a simulated butterfly effect based on the fact that choosing to say "yes bye" will let you leave your friend minutes earlier, making you meet up with the walker traversing the forest randomly, making you end up lost and get to the outskirts of a town, instead of if you said "indeed, but this and that and that and blah blah blah" which took you a few more minutes, making you miss the random walker and also making you not being lpst in the forest so after the same amount of time as in the other option you end up at your intended location instead; say the trainyard. And this just goes on.
Since I've been making a series of simple choice games myself, (using MS PowerPoint, lol) it's very easy to me to understand all this crap, the problems of making a choice game series or just generally making the game long. I can deeply relate to the Telltale devs havong ultimately been "too lazy to make a version in each season for each character". Good thing about this method is it's relatively easy to do and people who only play once to make their own story will never notice.
A few things I wanna say about AJ, Telltale and Skybound.
In AJ's story, there was nothing meaningful in his upbringing which made me connect to his character. Only decision which wasn't made for him was the Violet/Tenn/Louis at the bridge. Everyone in the school is young, which means they can all develop stories and futures. Clem doesn't have the be the main protagonist anymore but she can have a leadership role due to her leg, training everyone how to survive and fight and let AJ become a leader in his own way.
The whole of season 3 was to find AJ, we didn't even find him during that season but only through a flashback in the very last episode of the game, so what was the point? The games forced story-line or Clem's decisions literally planned out how his character would develop. There were so many ideas which were scrapped due to budgeting in season 4 but now that Skybound has the rights and money, they could definitely plan out a great game using telltale's former employees. Telltale must've known they were going bankrupt before the games announcement which could be why they named it the last. If they had more financial backing, would Clem's story really have ended?
The whole Delta, Lilly's journey or aftermath if left alive, Richmond, Christa, Kenny (alone) and also the Whisperers could form a spin-off itself.

D F I totally agree. Season 4 adding the final season to it felt so forced to me in my opinion. I know Telltale did not want to end her story there. And the only way to somehow keep it going is with playing as AJ and getting Clem a wooden prosthetic leg.

Ok the reason why they add clementine finding aj at the end was because telltale can’t find a place to add that scene. So they add it to the end of the story
The worst thing about the McCarroll Ranch flashback is that it's supposed to be a look at the coast-wide war and what Ericson's could be had the kids lost to Delta. Knowing that the Delta is willing to kill kids in order to further their goals is just straight up evil, and now that Joan is gone from Richmond, the New Frontier wouldn't be raiding other communities in this war. Javier, David and Clint would never do something so horrible (hell, David and Clint can die depending on your choices, and Clint flees if Javi killed Joan), so I highly doubt the New Frontier attacked Fort McCarroll, regardless of whether or not Javier assumed leadership of Richmond. Plus, attacking Fort McCarroll while Clem was on her way to get AJ would've run the risk of killing her, and Javier wouldn't have done something like that. So, knowing their warmongering nature, I suspect that if it weren't some other community, Delta is the faction who attacked Fort McCarroll, especially considering the reused Delta models in the McCarroll Ranch flashback, and how Clem is mistaken for a raider, as the rest of Delta are.

Edit : I really wanted Clem to return to Javi at the end of Season 4, that would be an emotional ending with Javi teaching AJ baseball and Javi telling Clem about the team on her hat as he said.

I think the family who lived at the end is still alive the team said they still lived so we could get a story of the family again and tell what happened to them and add more character development for the ones that made it
Doing so would either require accessing save / choices data from A New Frontier.

The player entering that information in at the start of the game like at the start of season 4.
I really wish that the walking dead could just be given a huge budget, more than they’ve ever had for any game, and just make a walking dead game that shows us all the mysteries or anything that we don’t know for sure so that we can just leave the walking dead as a finished game. Kinda like 400 days but way more gameplay, and way better.
Considering the Delta lost most of the force of adults they sent to take a few kids to said kids, something tells me the Delta isn't particularly tough anyway. Group of small fish in a big pond.
Odd that the ranch fell so easily considering it was a Civil War fort with walls, a moat and only one way in that I could see. You'd think it would be a very defensible position.
Right? At the very least, they're not making smart decisions. Huge waste of resources only to kidnap a couple of kids that they'd then have to waste even more resources brainwashing. It was only a matter of time before the Delta collapsed.

The feels
In my head canon, after Javi becomes the leader of the New Frontier, they end up joining with the Militia communities in the comics that include Rick, Jesus, and the rest of the cast. Maybe they even join up or make an alliance with the Commonwealth after Maggie becomes its elected leader. However a number of communities don’t want the Commonwealth to spread; they don’t want the return of society and civilization. Maybe they don’t want to lose their power, maybe they’re worried about being punished for crimes against other survivors, or they just don’t like the world before the Trials. The Delta is one of these communities and so they are at war with the New Frontier which is the closest part of the Commonwealth. Since the New Frontier has the advantage of many allies who have fought many wars, they are on the verge of victory over the Delta.
Alternatively, maybe the Delta was formed by villains from the third season or these villains took over the group. They want revenge against Javi for usurping them. These villains could be Joan and those she ordered to make raids against the communities. Or instead maybe the Delta is a community that suffered from such a raid and they are taking revenge, not knowing about the events of the third season.
Whatever the case, it’s safe to say that both sides must have been evenly matched at first since the time jump between Seasons 3 and 4 is 3 years long. Shortly after the third season, Clementine rescues AJ, so the ranch was likely an early target in the war by the Delta since it was allied with the New Frontier.
Between the two explanations for the war, I prefer the first one since the New Frontier is thus with the protagonists of the comics after the Commonwealth arc. With the fall of the Delta, the Commonwealth can thus expand and bring an end to the apocalypse in Eastern America as we see in the final issue of the comic series which is set decades later.
I ain't reading all that but I agree.

I think all of the series just needs a better wrapped up ending as it has little to no closure at all.
With the way they talked about Richmond in the final season, i often thought that it's quite possible that if Richmond was some how involved with the Delta's war, then i wouldn't be surprised if Richmond fell, and all it's inhabitant, (Accept for the Garcia's) either died or abandoned the community.
The “caravan” car looks a lot like the car that they had in season 3 bu then again it could be a far stretch.

My Opinion: I doubt they will do a sequel to the New Frontier. This one has multiple endings. Way more in comparison to other seasons. Some people had gabe and David, some had just gabe, some had gabe and Kate, or just Kate. It would be hard from a development perspective to accommodate so many different stories. We would just get like a Kenny/Jane flashback like in the new frontier.
The same was for season 2 but anyway they can kill some of these characters later onwards depending on your ending. David must die like the crazy badass he is
I think that Richmond is still around and hopefully if there is a next season, Clem and AJ can go back there with Javi. If they do go back only Javi will be there because everyone else’s death is determinate (Kate, Gabe, and David).
If Skybound make a season 5 with this idea, Kate, Gabe and David could be alive depends of your choices at the end of season 3, in my case, only Javi, Kate and Dr Lingard still alive Xd

It’s so damn frustrating to me because basically through the whole season 4 season 3 was never mentioned at all once. Besides ep 1 with the get to know you scene but after that literally nothing at all was mentioned. I honestly think season 4 was ok but damn they could fixed a lot of things. Honestly now we just have to wait see what kirkmens cooking up for the upcoming Clem lives project it’s looking pretty promising rn

My theory is that Javi is the only Garcia left because like all the other ones are determinant and what connection I see is that if a character is determinate they end up dying somehow (like how Kenny and Jane ended up) idk tho Gabe and/or Kate could be alive that’s just my theory

My boyfriend and I played the last three games during this weeks quarantine, since we already played s1 together long time ago. And now I found your chanel while looking for more twdg... Since your last video about a s5 idk if I want that (because it is important that they don't ruin it and to know when is the best moment to end a story). I wouldn't mind a TWD game where you play as Javi again AFTER Clem left. It could connect to New Frontier Save File choices for who's alive and who's dead. And maybe give us more detail on Delta, and whoever this other group is that's according to Abel 'makes Delta look like Virgin Mary' I'd love more info on these groups and Richmond's condition
I always got confused by season 3. Because the games and the comics take place in the same universe, seasons 2 and 3 take place after the savior war and before the time skip before the whisperers showed up. So when our characters meet Jesus he and some other folks from Alexandria or hilltop will aid Richmond at the end of the game. So that would mean that Richmond would become an ally to the main communities in the comic. So if there’s a war going on soon after clementine leaves for the ranch, how come Jesus doesn’t help them, and why isn’t it mentioned in the comic book? They’re not that far apart on a map

I think this war started long time ago cause you probably remember when the four leaders of retchmond decided to attack Prescott when they filled it with walkers and Gabe's father (I don't remember his name)said it's very hard in the winter cause there is no enough food and also that part when Clem went to find aj at the ranch she shoot three people one with the burnned face and other girl who where taking care of aj and the guy before her when she asked him about where is aj he told her you are not taking this one to or something like that and this place looked like a kindergarten cause you saw the drawing on the walls this means that people or groups had been trying to take kids from there to the fight in the war , actually if they made another episode that would be great

It would be could if we could get a ALL OUT WAR season. Like where comic book characters meet Telltale characters. And people fight. Like how could it would be if we saw Rick meet Clem. What if they were talking about the Whisperers or the Saviors?
I think the comic story not including the final issue of adult Carl ended before the final season of the game happened. James said that it had been years since the whisperers fell apart and by the time the main comic story ended it had only been around a few months since the whisperers were defeated. Therefore if everything worked out behind the scenes they could have some of the comic book characters be involved in a game set after the final season.
I believe Richmond is alive too.

This one's very common, but cant be dismissed, Which Walking Dead Game Season had the best story?
For me:
Graphics: season 3, followed close by season 4. Season 3 had a simple, glossy finish, while still retaining most of the comic styling. To me Clementine looked her best in season 3. Season 4 had lots of details and depth, but much more of a graphics style than a comic style, still my 2nd however, especially how Clementine's emotions are expressed by her facial expressions when Minerva admits to killing Sophie. Then season 2, a lot like season 1's graphics but noticibly more refined. and lastly season 1, the simplest of them all, which is understandable after all it's where they started.
Voice acting: Season 3. Particularly the Alone flashback. When Clementine's hand was slammed in the door. Also, the AJ medicine flashback, when Clementine would resist as they try to take AJ. 2nd would be season 1, lee's departing words and Clementine's reaction. Then season 4, Clem and AJ in the barn at the end very emotional vibe. Then season 2, Clementine stitches herself, you can hear that its painful.
Story: season 2 for me, followed very close by season 1.
Season 2, I liked how it had Clementine as the character, she starts out scared but grows confidence, we play as her as she STARTS to grow up. Also Kenny demonstrates his selfishness at Wellington. Season 1, lots of versatility. Many different environments. The motel, the farmhouse, the railroad horde, the sewers, especially liked when they climb the stairs to escape and lee's got the 12 guage, very demanding moments. Cant forget the time Lee killed zombies with a glass shard, action packed. But ultimately it was the surprise sad ending that made the game stand out. Then season 3, rather have had Clem as the main character but Javi grows on you like wild fire. A good guy through and through. But the whole plot of taking care of your brother's family meanwhile learning of Clementine and later your brother finding out you love his wife was a fairly smart plot imo. My favorite parts were honestly all the Clementine flashbacks, mainly the Kenny, AJ and clementine making shadow figures from the campfire flashback. As far as Javier, the time he goes after Gabe, wiping out all the zombies with his bat till he runs out of breath. Lastly season 4, It wasn't bad, first season that I watched after all. Sneaking on to the boat was the best part imo. Shooting the guy in the leg then knocking him out with the compound bow. But for me episode 4 'Take us Back' didn't meet my expectations last year, I expected an action packed Mccarrol ranch flashback with tons of gunfire and lots of zombies attracted to the gunfire, clem struggling/fighting to find and get AJ ending with an epic and uneasy escape. Or alternate endings, or a longer episode, but with only one ending of Clementine losing her foot, ultimately it was pretty a realist outcome I could say however it wasn't "the right" ending. Also, only 4 episodes, not 5, understandable given the tight budget, still so much room left for a "BANG". Ending.
Honorable mention: it's not an actual season, but Michone had similar graphics to season 2, but action packed, the action really set that game apart. Also 400 days, basically season 1 graphics, however it was surprising how characters reacted to what you say. Like in the Wyatt story.
