for disasterology: the "girls" under his bed are razor blades, the clean wrist is his wrist and "you" could be him or the person that found him self harming.

million dollar houses was a song he wrote for his parents, from the perspective of his hard working dad to his mother.

I Don't Care If You're Contagious was inspired by a letter a fan sent to the band about her boyfriend dying in a car crash so Vic wrote the song from the perspective of the boyfriend.

30:12 Vic said, “This song is basically about a typical guy’s dream. It talks about girls, drinking and having the time of your life. It’s very poetic and drifts around just like a person’s mind would inside of a dream. I purposely just wrote down the first things that popped into my head. The chorus talks about building something beautiful only to destroy it. This is a very philosophical idea that I’ve played around with for a long time.” He later said it’s influenced by the movie Donnie Darko. (Just copy and pasted this lol)

    • @nachobusinezzreacts
      @nachobusinezzreacts  3 месяца назад +2

LOL! Now that you show me this, the album itself is very philosophical, talking about popular, yet sensitive things. I can really appreciate an artist for trying to improve their art and communicate their ideas. Thank you for the copy paste and the support😂💪

@@nachobusinezzreacts yeah It definitely isn’t too obvious what exactly hes talking about in songs a lot of the time, but they do usually tend to be quite philosophical/metaphorical, I would defo recommend looking up any song meanings you’re confused about as I feel like it makes the listening experience more interesting!! But yeah it’s no problem :)) 🤣

The theme of this album talks about these natural thoughts and feelings to want and take-the desire to be in love and the desperation for someone else to love you. I love selfish machines sm :3 u should listen to a flair for the dramatic if u haven’t already 🔥🔥 I lav ur reactions ^_^

How I interpret this album is as the darkside of being in love, though it is up for interpretation. All of the songs have dark themes while having a love song plotline and lovey dovey lyrics.
Bulletproof love has a dark meaning (heartbreak and suicidal ideation) with such upbeat instrumentals. Disaterology uses “girls” as a way to reference razor blades, and follows up with the line “Oh what a waste of a perfectly good clean wrist, you were screaming till the police came.” (Also the allegations you referenced are toward Mike (the drummer) not Vic, and Mike is no longer in the band. Just some clarification.)

this whole album is essentially vic’s pov of love and how it’s hurt him but he still tries to love. bullet proof love sounds lovey but it’s really about him finding his girlfriend cheating on him, i would watch through some of the music videos to understand a little more lol

    • @kaylaknight8273

  • @oreogod1985

Really glad you liked it! Again, love how in depth you analyze this stuff! Like I never knew about the transition from Stay away from my friends to I don’t care if you’re contagious, and the water noises at the end of The sky under the sea, it’s great to see you pick up on this stuff even when i couldn’t and I been listening for over a year lol
As for what you have left to react to, technically yes, PIERCE THE VEIL only has 1 more album, BUT there is something else still. Before they were called Pierce the Veil, they were called Before Today, when it was Vic, his brother, and 2 high school friends, and they made 1 officially released album called A celebration of an ending (that name was referenced in the sky under the sea) it’s a 10 song album so it’s not as long, but I think it’s very important to the future of the band and in general, it’s a damn good album, I think it’d be super interesting for you to react to, above all else
Aside from that, if you want to go all the way, at the same time as this album (selfish machines) they were part of a supergroup called Isles and Glaciers, and they made 1 EP called The hearts of lonely people, I don’t think it’s as notable BUT it’s the OTHER last part of Pierce the Veil for you to listen to, and again it’s all very good songs, with a slightly different vibe since it’s a collab with a bunch of artists (Vic is still doing lots of vocals and writing)
So for what you have left to react to is
    1. A flair for the dramatic
    2. The hearts of lonely people
    3. A celebration of an ending (I’d save this for last lol)
Sorry for such a big comment, been really enjoying your reactions to Pierce the veil! Have a great day!❤️

I can see Dissatrology is like a god mythology perfective in life. How he was powerfull but in the end he is unsatisfied and he feels emptiness. Like zues he have everything, girls, fame, wealth and can create a beautiful thing but at the same time destroy his creation when got bored/empty 😅.
