I really appreciate this video because making rope from wild vegetation is essential for bushcrafting, and you made it super-interesting, Felix! I've made several Playlists of all your awesome videos. You are such an inspiration to my family, our friends and to me. Many blessings, *Hugs* ~Wendi
It is essential for humanity. It is one of the best examples of human ingenuity and creativity: going beyond the immediate visible physical properties of a base material but actually transforming it into something completely new: it must have been like magic the first time somebody saw it. In a way, it still is nowadays, if you present the skill instead of the product
Felix I can see you don’t need a gym with these bushcraft workouts. I’m my youth, I can remember working cowboys throwing grass rope lariats. I have great respect now for those highly skilled rope makers. Thanks again for your presentations.
Outstanding. The ability to make cordage from natural material is always key for survival or just plain fun. Thank you Felix! Respect from Florida USA 🌴
Rope making deserves more attention, I view it as one of the basic inventions that define us as a species. Perhaps not as cool or sexy as fire, but a lot more accessible, so I've used it quite a few times to get people into historical skills and bushcraft. good to see my favourite happy swiss army man giving it its due, would happily watch a whole series of it!
Thanks for sharing this and especially the tip about the difference between wet and dry grass rope, never would have thought of that. Well done Felix 👏
Felix, this is great! I couldn't find any good trees for making wood rope yet. So this video was very timely for my project!!! PS That rope you made is just beautiful.
I am sure all your subscribers appreciate your fun projects. We learn so much and are inspired. But I think it's also good to think about how much time and effort you put into these videos. So, thanks again for another awesome project video in which I learned how to make a grass rope, and thank you for taking the time and effort to do this. Awesome stuff!
I have made rope from grass, but not this large. The largest I have ever made is about 1/2 inch (12 mm) in diameter. Another great video. Thanks and God Bless.
Making natural cordage is an important skill for survival in the great outdoors. Thank you for a great explanation and demonstration. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦!👍
Hallo Felix, danke Dir. VG Eric.
When we are pushed to the limit, our creativity kicks in. Its always good to have an alternative knowledge of doing things stored in our brain. Rope in my opinion is one of the hardest to duplicate in a wilderness scenario. By experimenting on different grasses or materials, Im sure we can come up with a better rope, and improve our skills as we go along. I am now more confident in bringing SAK in my pocket, thinking I have an adequate tool on me, thanks to you Felix. More power to you. -sam philippines

tearing -> "tähring"
Danke gleichfalls lieber Sepp!

Looks like an excise for building strong hands and arm muscles. I might try making a smaller size until I could make one as strong as yours is.😂🙂
