I understand the topic about the young people want freedom. Freedom comes with independence and responsibility. You are the CEO of your life. You have show the people around you that you in control. My points young adult and old teenagers can't be grown-up only when it benefits them.

It’s a forgiveness and trust issue. You have to know yourself, to love yourself, to forgive yourself in order to trust that no matter the outcome you can take care of yourself emotionally. Knowledge of self comes from knowledge of Your Creator.
