Gul'dan made a pact with the Burning Legion, but it was Grommash (along with other orc leaders) the one who drank the blood of Mannoroth first, thus turning most of orcs into slaves and their skins green. Only a few orcs didn't drank the blood, like Ogrin Doomhammer or the Frostwolf clan (Thrall's parents clan).
Geyah isn't related to Garrosh, but to Thrall. She is the mother of Durotan, Thrall's father. Therefore, she is her paternal grandmother.
Varok Saurfang is a well known orc, a true hero to the Horde. Not only did he participated in the first three wars of Azeroth, but also in Ahn'Qiraj, the war against the Lich King and the siege of Orgrimmar, among others. He was recently killed by Sylvanas during a Mak'gora, when she betrayed the Horde at the end of the Fourth War. Both the Alliance and the Horde mourned his death. That's why I hate they added that card to this book, it doesn't even have voicelines, when such a character deserves better.
Magatha Grimtotem, the leader of the Grimtotem clan, aided Garrosh during his Mak'gora against Cairne (aka a battle to the death for the leadership of the Horde). The thing is, Magatha wanted to be sure Cairne died in this duel, so she poisoned Garrosh's axe, Gorehowl, so Cairne would slowly lose his fighting capacity until Garrosh landed the killing blow. This was later discovered, and Magatha along with her clan was exiled.
Btw, Garrosh got the power of Y'Shaarj, not Yogg. His heart, to be precise, which corrupted a lot of Pandaria, since he has been dead for a long time. Altough I guess by that time Yogg and C'thun were dead... kinda? Dunno, it has never been stated they are dead for good.
Its kinda cool they gave Garrosh a poisonous Gorehowl in the fight VS Cairne
Would be even cooler if it was a Gorehowl with deadly poison in it

if you actually care about the lore i'd recommend reading wow wiki or something instead, they basically took like 14 years worth of lore and compressed it into like 15 lines of janky summarized dialogue, then skipped a bunch of stuff (to sum up some of the events that arent explained well, after becoming warchief garrosh nukes theramore and kills a bunch of unarmed civilians alongside all of the troops and townspeople, jaina gets shoved into a portal to dalaran against her will by her mentor who dies saving her, jaina goes crazy because of this and tries to destroy orgrimmar with water elementals, but is stopped by the dragon kalecgos (who kinda sorta has a relationship with her but not really but kinda???), who tells her she'd be no better than garrosh is by drowning orc civilians for revenge, so jaina pouts and goes back to dalaran, then at some point after this sylvanas attacks gilneas with blight goop after their entire population is cursed into becoming worgen to try and turn them undead, and garrosh finds out and calls her a stupid bitch because hes an epic gamer (this line of dialogue was actually recently removed from the game unfortunately), then an alliance ship containing alliance troops, horde prisoners, and also thrall for some reason i think??) crashes onto the wandering isle (a giant turtle with an island on its back swimming around the ocean) and meet up with some neutral pandaren, who split into two factions over their own morals over how to resolve the issue of their living home bleeding out in the ocean from a ship crashing into it and side with the alliance and horde, shortly after garrosh learns of the pandaren's original homeland, pandaria, and sends a fleet to conquer it because he wants to conquer everything for the horde, the alliance also sends a fleet i guess to stop them (idk the pandaria intro quests kinda suck ngl i didnt pay much attention) and they fight over stuff, garrosh learns of the power of the sha (evil negative energy that corrupts the land) and a bell to control it, and sets out to get it, anduin (who is a teenager at this point in the story, not the adult he is in hearthstone) goes to stop him, meanwhile some of the sunreavers (the neutral blood elf mages in dalaran) decide to work with the horde in secret to locate sha artifacts, breaking their neutrality, once jaina learns about this she just completely goes off and decides she's done with being backstabbed by the horde so she starts the "purge of dalaran" where she assaults and imprisons every single blood elf in dalaran for the rest of their lives (though in the actual quest if you play it her spells just straight up kill them most of the time, in the books she just imprisons them all though i think) while this is happening the horde tries to do some shit with the thunder king in pandaria, and garrosh goes back to orgrimmar to start doing shit with the sha, and at the same time starts to neglect non-orcs and even kicks the trolls out of orgrimmar entirely for not supporting his weird obsession with power and war crimes, and the rest of the horde starts to realize "hey yo garrosh is kinda going mad with power and is also super racist maybe we should stop him??" so they team up with the alliance while thrall fights him directly deep in orgrimmar, thrall gets bullied, garrosh starts getting corrupted by the sha, and the player (and their companions) put a stop to him, and put him on trial in pandaria for all his war crimes (because the pandaren want to give him a fair trial), but one of the bronze dragons goes rogue and, when garrosh is about to be sentenced, kidnaps him and escapes through a time portal to draenor in the past, where he shows up just in time to stop the orcs from drinking demon blood and becoming fel slaves, and kills mannoroth himself, resulting in the timelines splitting into two branching timelines, garrosh then takes the orcish horde and introduces them to modern war technology and creates his own "iron horde" that he plans to use to conquer azeroth, then we notice the dark portal linking to this new alternate draenor instead of outland and iron horde troops coming out so we go through and break the portal, and set up a garrison in what ends up being one of the worst, most rushed expansions to date, where blizzard accidentally fucks up a few lore details and then retcons it because its an alternate timeline, some more shit happens thats mostly completely unrelated to the entire reason we went to draenor, thrall challenges garrosh to mak'gora in nagrand, but when he starts to lose, he uses his shaman powers to call upon the elements and crush him with rocks, then electrocutes him with lightning, killing him, then he goes all emo because he cheated and was dishonorable so he goes back to azeroth to pout)
so yeah tl;dr garrosh kind of is an important character in that he was featured in in 5 different expansions and was the initial main villain in two of them
VERY good lore dump thanks
